I give ‘im hit. (I give him it.)2)在传统澳大利亚语言中/f/ /v/ /W / /T/很少见,因此常常会用/p/ /b/ /t/ /d/来替代,如:We ‘ad a bight. (We had a fight.)I am thirty and my wife is thirty two.(I am dirty, and my wife is dirty too.)

Imagine kangaroos hopping through thecity streets, and they just might, especially in Canberra, the capital, where nature and politics coexist in a serene setting. The Sydney Opera House is not just an architectural marvel, it's the heart where culture sings. You'll hear locals say "G'day" and "No worries" with a smile that's as genuine as the gold from the Gold Coast. If you're lucky, you might get invited to a "barbie" not for the actual barbecue, but for a good old-fashioned Aussie party where the lamb is tender and the mates are tighter.Don't forget to take a dip in the sea, but watch out for the crocs in the Northern Territory—they're not just the shoes you're used to. And if you're brave enough, try aVegemite sandwich; it's an acquired taste that's asAustralian as a didgeridoo. The Great Barrier Reef is a snorkeler's dream, a colorful kaleidoscope of marine life that's truly the gem of Queensland. For a bit of history, head to the Aboriginallands of the Northern Territory, where ancient cultures have left their mark in the form of breathtaking rock art.Australia is a melting pot of cultures, a fact that's evident in its culinary scene. You can find everything from a classic meat pie to the spiciest curry, reflecting thediverse backgrounds of its inhabitants. And when the sun sets, the night sky comes alive with a celestial show that's as dazzling as the city lights.Whether you're a city slicker or a nature lover,Australia's got you covered. It's a place where every dayfeels like an adventure, and every sunset is a postcard moment. Grammar(语法)
• They (were) sitting outside the bank, eh? 2. 正如“all the brother”和“my two kid” 中,我们可以推测brother和kid都是复数;而 my kid中的kid就说不清是单数还是复数了。
I did not see nothing.=Idid not see anything.
Q: Were you either at the camp or were you already at the pub? A: Yes. (At the pub.)
field
flock
bushranger
...
如:bogey(游泳),yabber(闲 聊),budgeree(优秀的,漂亮的)等等,诸 如此类。
比如biscuit(饼 干)、tap(水龙头)、boot(汽车行李箱)等。
Features of Australian English
General Introduction
/ei/→/ai/ raise→/raiz/ day→/dai/ tape→/taip/ 2.澳大利亚英语在发very,many等单的末音 节时,常将/i/发成/i:/。seed→/si:di/ sity→/siti:/ 3. 例如 /uə/→/ə/ poor/puə/→/pə/ moor/muə/→/mə/ /juə/→/ju:ə/ cure/kjuə/→/kju:ə/ pure/pjuə/→/pju:ə/ 4.
• 此外,还有block(某一区域的土地)、 township(城市规划区)、truck(卡车)、 elevator(电梯)、eggplant(茄子)、 snow pea(嫩豌豆)等,都是从美英中借 鉴而来。
I lock the door that time.
Thank you~!

Types of Australian English
(General Australian)

澳洲英语中还有相当 多的词汇来源于土著语,例如mallee(桉树 丛),dingo(澳洲野犬),cooba(柳相思树)等。
Vocabulary(词汇)
