雾都孤儿英文读后感优秀6篇雾都孤儿英文读后感篇一One of Dickens most enduringly popular stories is Oliver Twist, an early work published 1837-8. Like many of his later novels, its central theme is the hardship faced by the dispossessed and those of the outside of tolite society. Oliver himself is born in a workhouse and treated cruelly there as was the norm at the time for pauper children, in particular by Bumble, a parish council official or eadle The story follows Oliver as he escapes the workhouse and runs away to London. Here he receives an education in villainy from the criminal gang of Fagin that includes the brutal thief Bill Sikes, the famous artful Dodger and Nancy, Bill whore. Oliver is rescued by the intervention of a benefactor - Mr Brownlow - but the mysterious Monks gets the gang to kidnap the boy again. Nancy intervenes but is murdered viciously by Sikes after she has showed some redeeming qualities and has discovered Monk sinister intention. The story closes happily and with justice for Bumble and the cruel Monks who has hidden the truth of Oliver parentage out of malice. Accusations were made that the book glamorised crime (like the ewgate Group of the period) but Dickens wisely disassociated himself from criminal romances. His achievement was in fact in presenting the underworld and problems of poverty to the well-off in a way rarely attempted previously.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇二The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end.One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness.I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇三Oliver Twist this world famous tells a moving story. The book of master is an orphan, his name is Oliver Twist. He was born in a workhouse, was born near his mother died. He was sent as an item sent, tortured. He finally met a kind old gentleman; brown Mr. Luo,he kindly took him, helived a good life. But good times dont last long,Oliver unfortunately caught a thief in the second cave,Sykes stressed he participated in an expedition to steal, ended in failure, dying,or merry lady saved Oliver and kindly took him. After a period of time,Oliver live a happy life. After reading this book,my heart a long time can not quell. The poor Oliver,in the pain of losing family members also received so much. I dont know his emaciated body, with what will make him, unremittingly, make him hungry, cold, lonely, suffering under the tenacious struggle, advance to a better life!We live in the honeypot, the Fu nest, but always plaining, always satisfied. But we have thought,in the world, there are many children, are suffering great pain and hunger, disease; operation; facing the loss of loved ones, lead a wandering life. They are full of the desire for life, love of life, but suffering and against them. So,we have to cherish their own happiness, with our hands and brain,to do a useful person for the motherland,to return the society.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇四Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He was born in a poor family, but later he became famous and rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him, too. This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist, the hero, is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future, he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was ing, but he was wrong, a group of thieves were waiting for him.The author created a group of bad men.Fagin, an old man, with a horribly ugly face and red hair, was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.Monks, Oliver’s brother, did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact, they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.Nancy, a poor girl, loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate, because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group, because she loved him. Actually, she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes, she would have a happy ending. The author showed these ugly things to us, he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.Mr. Brownlow, an old friend of Oliver’s father, took good care of Oliver.Mrs. Maylie, Harry Maylie’s mother, saved Oliver of his life.Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver, in fact. They all protect Oliver from hurt.Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people, but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people. In the end of the novel, all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Althoughthere are many ugly things in the world, we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind. What’s more, the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overe all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is, we can’t give up, we must try our best to solve it.From Oliver Twist , I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇五How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’,he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself. To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’,they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’雾都孤儿英文读后感篇六Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens. The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.Mr. Brownlow is one such person.。

雾都孤儿英文读后感To Regain the Nature of Goodness -- Review of ‘Oliver Twist’Oliver Twist one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’ is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist an orphan who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain such as hunger thirst beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy but at the same time Idetested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief as was written in all the best stories the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them or Rose read to him and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty.A lthough I don’t think goodness is omnipotent yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.For me the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.the resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep insi de. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon theearth, which was carved into my heart deeply.Mr. Brownlow is one such person.the other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had donesomething evil.Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have don e. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.then there are Mrs. Maylie and Rose, Oliver’s other benefactors. Maybe the reason they loved and cared Oliver was not because of forgiveness. In my point of view, it was trust. They had faith in Oliver when he was considered to be a filthy burglar who tried to break the front door of Maylie’s at midnight. But this wasn’t how these two ladies saw the whole thing. They denied Oliver’s crime immediately and listened attentively to Oliver’s own de scription of his miserable life. They were deeply touched by Oliver’s strong perseverance and astonishing vitality. Accordingly, they remedied Oliver’sbody and heart and turned him into a different boy. He began to wear appropriate and clean suits which were tailor-made for him and receive education. As far as we can see, it is trust that helps us all live together without precaution. Sometimes trust can even lead us to miracles, which we often expect to come about, so why not trust? Trust yourself, trus t others, and you’ll salute miracles every single day.In the novel, though the young Oliver again and again fell for conspiracies of those hideous thieves, who tried to torture Oliver’s body and poisoned Oliver’s heart intensely, he always lived on and tried hard to seek for his own life. Then I realized what supported him all through were actually beliefs. In most cases, what you believe is what you’ll become. Believe that you are unlimited, that you can do anything you commit to doing, and when you do, your accomplishments will know no bounds. You control your beliefs and that is how you ultimately control your life. It’s all dictated by your attitude. In the final analysis, love and care contain numerous forms, there are love of forgiveness, love of trust, etc. but they all come from your beliefs in life. When someone tells you he’sdeceived you, forgive him anyway, when someone tells you what he’s done, trust him anyway, and when you face adversities while chasing your dreams, think about your beliefs, then what hinders you will become a piece of cake in no time.So find out “Olivers” in your life and do as Mr. Brownlow and Mrs. Maylie do: love them and care them, which cost nothing but save much. They enrich those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. They can be certain smallest words or actions, but the memory of them sometimes last forever.Charles Dickens said:“Love makes the world go around.” These immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore. Let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly. These principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our mission together.雾都孤儿英文读后感Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walkswith them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’,he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself. To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They lookdown on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched th ing, no better than a kind of vermin.’That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.。

He escaped to London because he could not bear to be abused. He went into a den of thieves by mistake and was scolded and beaten. I dont know how much he suffered in the process of growing up. Although growing up in such an environment, he has a kind heart. No matter how much he suffers, his determination to do bad things is the biggest. He is blessed and will never forget to thank his benefactor. But the people in the bandit group still did not let him go, and his half brother also wanted to kill him. Olivers fate is tragic, but he was helped by good people to find out his life experience and obtain the heritage. Finally, his fate has been changed and he is expected to become a useful person to the society. We should also learn from the kind-hearted Brownlow, who helped Oliver with his helping hand. Because of his kindness, Oliver Twist was saved. He made the world lose a bad man and a good man, and kept Oliver away from the dirty world. In a word, the whole novel is full of twists and turns, which makes people sigh for Oliver Twists life experience, angry for the mean man, moved by the kind Brownlow, and happy for Olivers rebirth. Since its publication more than 100 years ago, Oliver Twist has become a classic work loved by readers all over the world, and I am no exception. Because of this novel, I also beganto know Dickens. His novel mainly reflects the bottom life of the British society, which has just passed the poverty relief law.最新雾都孤儿英语读后感5First of all, Im sorry that I havent read Dickenss novel. Ive read a tale of two cities. Its also a compressed version. I dont remember it. It is found that the biggest failure of middle school education is to pour the titles of these masterpieces to the students, but not to give them the possibility of reading. Over time, a lot of names and authors have been recorded, but none of the books have been read, and the interest of reading has been reduced. Of course, it has something to do with the students laziness. I am a very lazy person, and I dont like reading foreign novels very much. I always feel that the translated things are wrong again, distortion is the second, and mixed with the translators personal thoughts. This movie reminds me of a long time ago, probably in high school, watching "les miserables", are very realistic works. The tone of the movie is gray, the most common color, but it will never make people feel tired. Just like the most simple green brick and grey wall in ancient gardens, it cant compare with the red paint gate, but now we can see only the green brick and grey wall, and the red paint gate cant stand the time. One of the important reasons why I dont like reading foreign novels is that I cant remember the names of the characters, such as tonights Oliver Twist. Read "Oliver Twist", let me be the hero of this book - Oliver. At the same time, he felt disgust and regret for the street criminals in London in the 1830s. Oliver. Tweester was born in a workhouse. Poor boy was orphaned at birth. He was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime, starved, beaten and scolded, and no one ever loved him.最新雾都孤儿英语读后感6Orphans are children who have no parents, so they live in orphanages. Today, lets take a look at a book about orphans - Oliver Twist. The protagonist of this book is a poor orphan. His name is Oliver. His mother died as soon as he was born, so he was taken to the orphanage. But that orphanage is not a good place, because the director there is very bad to the orphans, the orphans hate him. The supervisor also apprenticed Olivier to the coffin shop. In the coffin shop, olifi was abused, so he fled to London. As a result, he was brought into the den by the thief "smart ghost" and was forced to embark on the ship. Fortunately, with the help of Mr. Brownlow and miss Ruth, olife successfully escaped from Fagin and others, and let the police turn over the den. Menx also tells about the life experience of olifi: menx and olifi are actually half brothers. However, olifis father had passed away, and his property was divided between his two sons. Since then, Olivier has lived with Mr. Brownlow······The author Dickens wrote "Oliver Twist" wonderfully, and the plot is also very dangerous, so it attracts the readers at once, and makes the readers mood change with the plot of the story. There is always a dark side to life. However, the light will always prevail over the dark, there will be countless "Mr. Brownlow" and "Miss Ruth" to help those in trouble. I also want to learn from them: try my best to help others, and always have a good heart.最新雾都孤儿英语读后感7Growing up in solitude and struggling in pain, this is Oliver Twist, an orphan in foggy city written by Charles Dickens.Oliver grew up in a workhouse. He never felt the warmth ofhis mothers love and family. He always lived in hell. At the age of nine, Mr. bumble sent him to the home of a mortician named sulbury as an assistant, but it was no better or worse than the workhouse, so Oliver could not bear the inhumane life and fled here, ready to go to the "fog city" - London. When he arrived in London, he met two evil doers, one was the robber Sikes, the other was the thief Fagin. Later Fagin wanted to train him to be a thief, because he became a thief, and the mystery of his life was also revealed.Olivers coming to London is not necessarily a good thing, but it must not be a bad thing. Because although he met Fagin, he also met many good people: Nancy, who is also good and evil, Mr. Brownlow, who is kind-heartedThis book describes an optimistic Oliver, no matter the orphans life or his lonely and painful childhood, he doesnt complain. And we have a warm family from birth to now, but every day is full of all kinds of complaints, we should be like him, "no complaints, no complaints".最新雾都孤儿英语读后感8Oliver Twist is a realistic novel written by Charles Dickens. The novel is set in foggy London in the 19th century and tells the story of Olivers life experience and growth. At the same time, as an example of social novels, it reveals other real social problems in the 19th century, such as child labor, juvenile delinquency and so on.There is a plot in the article that makes people feel deeply. Oliver is taken to the gathering place of thieves. The men who dominate the group praise the death penalty in front of expensive watches and jewelry. It seems hard to understand why the lawbreakers are not afraid of death penalty. This is related tothe defects of the law at that time. Confession can not change the fate of being hanged, so the criminals who go to the execution ground will not choose to let the truth As a result, these young people are free from slavery.Oliver, the protagonist in the novel, was originally a simple teenager, because he had to mix with a group of juvenile delinquents for survival. Regardless of the later turning point of the novel, if Oliver had been living with this group of people and learning their "technology", his life would surely go dark. Although these are related to the complex background of London in the 19th century, we should still be vigilant that similar phenomena still exist in our society.Caring for the physical and mental health of teenagers requires the joint efforts of all our citizens. Like the old gentleman in the novel, a little help and a simple helping hand may change a persons future.最新雾都孤儿英语读后感9Learn to love and care Here I am sitting on a couch alone thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens. the resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel but what this aloof society lacks and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals oil that we usually mention. They’re ab stract like feelings and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of usdesire anxiously from one another ——love and care. Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth which was carved into my heart deeply. Mr. Brownlow is one such person. the other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves Artful Dodger and Charley Bates and thought naturally it was Oliver who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful he caught Oliver and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy Mr. Brownlow took the injured poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day however Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil. Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. Wecannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.最新雾都孤儿英语读后感10"Oliver" is a British writer Dickens in 1838 to write a novel, this book tells the life and suffered a tragic orphan named Olivier, Olivier grew up in an orphanage, by the Deacon for was sent to the coffin shop to apprentice, tortured in the coffin shop and decided to flee the coffin shop, it strayed into the den, experienced many bitter history, find their own life, the last being a good rich Mr. adoption, live a happy life. The hero of the novel, Olivers birth, his mother died, and no one else knows who his father is, so Oliver was born into a homeless orphan. Although the orphanage took in Oliver, the orphanage was not good enough for the children inside. The children inside were often starving, and only when someone came to check it, did the orphanage do it. Compared with Olivier children now is simply too happy, they do not know the well-being of the world, everyone is the home of the bully, the hands of parents treasure, not getting what you want is crying. The child was crying parents coquetry age, Olivier has tasted the well-being of the world, to learn the independence.Oliver under the coffin shop proprietresss abuse, decided to flee the coffin shop in London alone, in London on the way he met a man, he put Oliver cheat into the thieves, and the leader of a gang of thieves to Oliver training for his work as a thief. But no matter how the thief Gang persuaded Oliver, he just refused to do so, and the thieves tried to force Oliver by hard means, butOliver was hard and soft, and resisted such dirty behavior from the inside. This is also I admire Olivers point, no matter what his environment, he is not affected by others, and always maintain a pure heart. Whether its the dark, cold orphanage, or just abuse his coffin shop, etc., and later, the evil gang of thieves. He has never hated anyone, nor has he complained about society. The quality of the mud is not worth learning. This books characters in addition to Olivier, a character I also very sympathetic is Nancy, she is a gang of thieves companions, but after reading the whole book only to find that she is really good for a gang of thieves Olivier people. When the gang tried to bully Oliver, she always stepped forward and stopped them. When the gang tried to frame Oliver and let him lose his fathers great fortune, Nancy revealed the news to Olivers aunt, and the plot of the bandit gang was not successful. But she has thus provoke fatal disaster. She is a kind person, but she does not deserve the happiness, so she feels sorry for her. After reading this book, I understand the temperature of the world and treasure everything that I have.。

雾都孤儿英文读后感篇1Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He thought a new life was coming, but he was wrong, a group of thieves were waiting for him.The author created a group of bad men.Fagin, an old man, with a horribly ugly face and red hair, was the head of those thieves. If she hadn’t fell in lovewith Sikes, she would have a happy ending. The author showed these ugly things to us, he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.Mr. Brownlow, an old friend of Oliver’s father, took good care of Oliver.Mrs. Maylie, Harry Maylie’s mother, saved Oliver of his l ife.Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver, in fact. Although there are many ugly things in the world, we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind. What’s more, the novel also t ells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is, we can’t give up, we must try our best to solve it.From Oliver Twist , I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇2The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into aworld full of poverty and crime. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇3One of Dickens most enduringly popular stories is Oliver Twist, an early work published 1837-8. Here he receives an education in villainy from the criminalgang of Fagin that includes the brutal thief Bill Sikes, the famous artful Dodger and Nancy, Bill whore. His achievement was in fact in presenting the underworld and problems of poverty to the well-off in a way rarely attempted previously.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇4Oliver Twist this world famous tells a moving story. The book of master is an orphan, his name is Oliver Twist. He was born in a workhouse, was born near his mother died. He was sent as an item sent, tortured. He finally met a kind old gentleman; brown Mr. Luo,he kindly took him,he lived a good life. But we have thought,in the world, thereare many children, are suffering great pain and hunger, disease; operation; facing the loss of loved ones, lead a wandering life. They are full of the desire for life, love of life, but suffering and against them. So,we have to cherish their own happiness, with our hands and brain,to do a useful person for the motherland,to return the society.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇5Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.Mr. Brownlow is one such person.雾都孤儿英文读后感篇6How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reasonis the nature of goodness. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, n o better than a kind of vermin.’。

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London。

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime。

He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse。

While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings。

I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill。

To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end。

雾都孤儿读后感英文版5篇1. "The Orphan of the Fog," a Review on Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist"As a reader who enjoys classic literature, I picked up Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" and was immediately drawn into the setting and characters of Victorian London. Though the story centers around the orphaned protagonist, Oliver, it is the vivid descriptions of the city's dirty alleys and its unsavory inhabitants that truly bring the story to life.Oliver's journey from a workhouse and to a life of crime, only to be redeemed by the kindness of strangers, is a heart-wrenching tale. It is a commentary on the harsh realities of the time, a time where poverty and crime were rampant, and where children could be seen as nothing more than a commodity to be bought and sold.Through this story, Dickens compels readers to see beyond the surface of what they might consider "acceptable" social norms to unveil the corruption and exploitation that exists within. Overall, "Oliver Twist" is a timeless classic that still resonates with readers today, and provides a poignant reminder of the importance of compassion and empathy in our society.2. Reflection on "Oliver Twist" by Charles DickensCharles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" is a compelling story of a young orphan boy who is forced to navigate between different worlds - that of the workhouse, the street gang, and the upper class. Despite the hardships he faces, Oliver remains hopeful and trusting, and itis this resilience that makes him a relatable and endearing character to readers. What struck me the most about this book, however, was Dickens' portrayal of the society at the time. The stark contrast between the extreme poverty of the lower classes and the excessive wealth of the upper classes is a powerful reminder of the injustices that exist in our world, even now.Furthermore, the fact that children like Oliver were treated as inferior and disposable is a sobering thought. Dickens challenges readers to examine their own attitudes towards marginalized groups and to consider their own obligations to help those in need.Overall, "Oliver Twist" is a haunting and thought-provoking book, and one that has left a lasting impression on me. It is a story that reminds us of the power of compassion and empathy, and the importance of standing up for those who are oppressed.3. An Analysis of "Oliver Twist" by Charles DickensCharles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" is a masterpiece of Victorian literature, and a story that remains relevant in our society today. At its core, it is a commentary on the harsh realities of poverty, crime, and exploitation that existed during that time period, and that continue to exist in different forms today. One of the most striking aspects of "Oliver Twist" is the way Dickens introduces us to the various characters and settings with such vivid detail. The city of London is described as a place ofdarkness, grime, and squalor, and the characters living within it are equally gritty and raw. This immersive world-building makes the story all the more engrossing and emotionally impactful.Another notable aspect of the book is its exploration of the theme of identity. Oliver's search for a sense of belonging and purpose is at the heart of the story, and it is a theme that is relevant to people of all ages and backgrounds. Through his journey, we are reminded of the importance of compassion and kindness in the face of adversity, and the inner strength that can be found in moments of struggle. In conclusion, "Oliver Twist" is a classic piece of literature that has stood the test of time, and remains an important commentary on social issues that continue to affect us today.4. Dickens' portrayal of the destitute, forgotten segments of society serves as a reminder that people can find strength and hope even in thebleakest of circumstances. What struck me the most about the book is how well-drawn the characters are. From the lovable Oliver to the calculating Fagin, every character feels fully-realized and multi-dimensional. Throughout the novel, Dickens highlights the stark contrast between the privileged upper class and the impoverished lower class, and the exploitation and abuse that the latter is subjected to.The workhouse system, for example, is portrayed as a cruel and dehumanizing institution that only exacerbates poverty and misery. Similarly, the criminal underworld is shown as a result of desperation and desperation, where children are used as pawns and manipulated by adults.Yet, even in the midst of this darkness, Dickens offers glimpses of hope and humanity. Characters like Nancy, who despite her involvement in crime, still have a sense of morality and compassion. This serves as a reminder that even in the most dire situations, people can still find ways to resist and subvert the oppressive systems that seek to control them.Ultimately, "Oliver Twist" is a powerful condemnation of the systems of oppression that exist in our society, and an urgent call to action to dismantle them.7. The Importance of Character Development in "Oliver Twist" by Charles DickensOne of the most remarkable aspects of "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens is the way in which the characters develop and changethroughout the story. Oliver himself is initially portrayed as a helpless victim, but gradually gains agency and ownership over his own life.Other characters, like Fagin and Bill Sikes, remain static and ultimately meet tragic ends as a result of their own flaws and mistakes. Yet, even they are given some measure of complexity and nuance, making them more than mere caricatures of evil.By exploring the inner lives and motivations of his characters, Dickens creates a rich and immersive world that is both compelling and emotionally resonant. This, in turn, allows readers to deeply engage with the themes of the story and ponder their own values and beliefs. In conclusion, the character development in "Oliver Twist" is a testament to Dickens' skill as a writer and his ability to create complex, human characters that resonate with readers long after the book is finished.8.
