Adding evening classesThe school computer lab has planned to add a few evening classes to its opening schedule. Usually, the computer lab only opens from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Nevertheless, because of the rapid increase of student numbers in recent years and the limited seats of the computer lab, it has become progressively difficult to meet each student’s requirements. Therefore, in order to be able to serve the students better, the administrators have decided to add evening classes in the computer lab from 6pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday.Hot Breakfasts EliminatedBeginning next month, Dining Services will no longer serve hot breakfast foods at university dining halls. Instead, students will be offered a wide assortment of cold breakfast items in the morning. These cold breakfast foods, such as breads, fruit, and yogurt, are healthier than many of the hot breakfast items that we will stop serving, so health-conscious students should welcome this change. Students will benefit in another way as well, because limiting the breakfast selection to cold food items will save money and allow us to keep our meal plans affordable.Required work experienceThe business studies department at state university will now require all students enrolled in its program to complete one semester of work experience in a local corporation or small business. It is felt that students will benefit from this work experience by developing leadership and organizational skills that would not normally be learned in a classroom or campus setting. Furthermore, the relationship that students establish with the company that they work for may help them to secure permanent employment with that company once they have completed the program and graduated.。

托福口语讲义11、托福口语task1答题技巧task1最常考的就是偏好题,通过智课老师的仔细研究,这类题型常出现的话题是人物话题、地点话题、事件话题或者是物品话题。
针对这类题型,同学们可以针对一个话题不断的神话,而且完全可以一个例子通用到各类话题中。
如果在文章的开头进行表述,最好是将主体分为三部分来阐述,开题无需技巧,简单读题即可,把you 都改成me,比起I think……开头可以省去相对多的思维时间。
内容一般找三个理由,为避免理由重复或累赘,建议就方便、经济、减压等常用理由进行练习,并结合不断问自己How 及Why 等问题来充实内容,完成example 的部分。
最后用连词进行连接,这里有个技巧,就使用first, also, finally,因为三到六题综合题中这三个词常成为提示词出现,在前两题中使用可对其有一定敏感度。
2、托福口语task2答题技巧结合第一题,第二题内容分布完全相同,并且这两题对时间把握尤其重要,要求考生进行“掐表”练习,对45s 有感性认识,当一定练习后,口语部分的考试不再是考内容的,而是考时间的,因此在考试过程中掐时间角度有很多技巧可言,比如:当阐述内容结束时时间为38s 或39s,则在最后可加句detail 或一句类似The person like me has no choice but to do sth.的长废话;当结束时时间为41s 或42s,则在最后可加一句短废话,如I find it’s cool.3、托福口语task3答题技巧最讨厌的是41s 说完这句短废话后变成42s,离perfect time 还是有3 秒钟,那么可以用一些装口吃或吞口水的考场技巧将时间掐到44s 或45s。
(实践证明装口吃或吞口水不扣分)最后是三到六题的综合题部分。
综合题由于会有听力和阅读,因此要求考生对信号词定位有所敏感,口语中涉及的技巧是即使不理解听力内容,结合简单的信号词如first, also, finally, but, yet, for the following reasons 等定位中心内容,遇到生疏单词、句子,记下读音,再完整地还给考官,一样得分。

这个部分共有6题,持续约20分钟。
第一、二题要求考生就某一话题阐述自己的观点。
第三、四题要求考生首先在45秒内阅读一段短文,随后短文隐去,播放一段与短文有关的对话或课堂演讲。
最后,要求考生根据先前阅读的短文和播放的对话或课堂演讲回答相关问题,考生有30秒钟的准备时间,然后进行60秒钟的回答。
例如,短文中描述了对学校体育馆进行扩建的两种方案,对话中一位同学阐述了自己的立场,即赞成哪种方案,反对哪种方案,并列举了若干理由。
要求考生叙述对话中同学的立场并解释他/她列举了哪些理由支持这一观点。
第五、六题要求考生听一段校园情景对话或课堂演讲,然后回答相关问题。
考生有20秒钟的准备时间,之后进行60秒钟的回答。
例如,先播放一段市场学课堂演讲,演讲中教授列举了两种市场调查的方法,然后要求考生使用课堂演讲中的观点和例子描述教授列举出的两种市场调查的方法。
考生可以在听音过程中记笔记以帮助答题。
在准备和答题时,屏幕上会显示倒计时的时钟。
考试成绩通常情况下,考生可在考试结束约15个工作日后登陆报名网站查询成绩。
ETS正式打印的成绩单随后将发到各考场供考生领取。
需要寄送成绩单的考生,可事先与考场管理人员约定办理成绩单有偿寄送事宜。
口语比较新托福口语部分采用人机对话,模拟正式的上课讲演来考查学生。
考试共有6道题目,一三五针对的是校园生活,二四六是相对学术性的题材。
雅思口语采用“人人对话”形式,考生可以对没有听清楚的问题要求考官重复并且可以要求考官解释卡片上题目的单词与句子,更加人性化,但客观性相对减弱。
在2006年的考试中不仅会在原有话题的基础上增加部分新问题,而且会对于第二部分的topic(话题)进行具体化,例如原来只问holiday(假期)的话题,以后将会具体为high school(高中)的毕业旅行。
专家提示:雅思口语在网络上有较全面的“机经”(考生对考试题目和答案的回忆),考生可以把这些内容作为参考。
而新托福口语考试,由于考生开始时间有差异,在同一个考场中可能会出现说话声音此起彼伏的情况。
