When I have spare time on Sunday, I often stand before the window looking at the pedestrians. Children are walking arm in arm in bouyant spirts, with their red scarves waving in the wind. Seeing them reminds me of my suffering childhoodin X. I had poliomylitis when I was learning how to walk, and my legs lost all sensation. My parents sold some househod to send me to the hospital, hoping to make me stand again but it failed. At last, the doctor said I would be a maimed person all my life.

When I was a baby, my mother carried me on her back but when I grewolder I became sadder with my misfortune. I don’t know how many times I said that I wanted to walk by myself which made mom sad. Although I was young, I still wishing “How happy I would be if I could walk, once, just one time would be fine!”

It was my only wish which broke my parents’ hearts. They didn’t have enough money at all, but they tried theri best to take me to every wel-known hospital. But the answers are the same that I can’t stand forever.

Life went badly year afer year but I nerver gave up.An idea came out when I grew older---I am a Chinese, maybe in China I would be cured. I kept on asking my parentsto take me back to Chian. At my age of 10 years old, my family returned back to our miss country. There was no word that can show my excitment after being placed on the motherland. Saddly, I am a cripple and I can’t stand here, pain garther in my heart.
