一、设计思路1、指导思想英语课程的总目标是：通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力，促进心智发展，提高综合人文素养。

二、教学准备本课主要学习海伦凯勒热爱生命自强不息的故事，同时本单元也学习了其他的一些为伟人，所以要求同学们课前多了解伟人们事迹，要有讨论的基本资料。
教师制作课件时首先考虑以课文为载体，运用一些图片来说明海伦凯勒从不放弃，不向困难低头，坚强不屈勇往直前，并且乐于助人的优良品质，教育学生珍爱生命，珍惜时间，努力学习，为自己的未来打下一个扎实的基础。
