托尼'莫里森是第一位被授予诺贝尔奖的杰出的非洲裔美国女作家。她的作品大都与黑人女性的苦难与命运紧密结合。1969年，托尼·莫里森发表了她的第一篇小说《最蓝的眼睛》。一个黑人小女孩渴望得到一双白人那样的蓝眼睛，经过日夜祈求上帝，最后居然夙愿得偿，真的有了一双美丽的蓝眼睛，却终于发现自己仍然无法摆脱悲惨的命运。

本文旨在分析从不同角度了佩克拉的悲剧，通过佩克拉悲剧的产生过程及产生的原因反射出文化的沦落和美国社会道德败坏。蓝眼睛为上等阶级并能被尊重的一种象征，同样它也作为美的一种标准。蓝色是白人眼睛的颜色，实质是寓意着白种人的身份。在美国这片物质富裕而精神贫瘠的土地上，黑人在意识形态上用一双“蓝眼睛”来看周围的世界与自我，心灵被扭曲异化，精神逐渐走向分裂荒芜。乱伦和错误的性价值观，冷漠的亲人，残酷的社会，丑恶的人们用伤害佩克拉的方式使他们看到自己相对美丽。白人对黑人的歧视和黑人的自我歧视进一步打击了黑人的内心世界，走向不法自拔的深渊。一个黑人女孩永远无法拥有的美丽，因为整个社会认同了白人的审美观。而佩克拉本身不懂如何正确地去改变现状，同样去适应大人们的观点，最终精神错乱。佩克拉的悲剧让我们深思非裔美国人的不堪的过去，令人担忧的现状和迷茫的未来。

The Tragedy of Pecola in The Bluest Eye

Abstract

Toni Morrison is an outstanding African American women writer who was awarded the Nobel prize as the frist black woman writer.In her works,she is closely concerned about the plight and fate of black women.Toni Morrison published her frist novel The Bluest Eye.A black girl craves for a pair of blue eyes. Finally,she realizes the dream of having a pair of beautiful blue eyes after praying day and night. But she finds that she still can't get rid of tragic fate.

This article aims to anal yze Pecola's tragedy,of which the formation and the cause reflect deterioration of culture and American social moral corruption. .Blue eye is a symbol of upper class and being respected,at the same,it is a standard of beauty. Blue is the white eye color, implicating the white identity in essence. In the United States where is rich in material but barren in spirit,the black see the world and themselves with a pair of blue eyes in ideology.The heart is distorted, and spirit gradually goes to desert. Incest and wrong sexual values, distant relatives, cruel society, ugly people .Pecola,a typical example,never has being to make themselves relatively beautiful by hurting Pecola,who never has beauty,because the whole social identities the white aesthetics.White discrimination against the blacks and black self-discrimination give a further blow to the black heart world and can't help going into abyss. But Pecola doesn't know how to change current situation correctly,and she has adapted to adults' point of view and ultimately became insane. Pecola's tragedy let us ponder deeply over African-American unbearable past, troublesome the present situation and the confusing future.
