knock on the door意为“敲门”,相当于knock at the door.如:He knocked on/ at the door and he entered.【注意】knock 后加宾语时须先加介词on/ at. 如:knock on/ at the window/ desk11. 规则动词的过去式的变化规律:(1) 一般在动词词尾加- ed.eg: walk--walked; listen—listened; rush—rushed(2) 以字母e结尾的动词后加-d. eg: live-lived; notice-noticed; decide-decided(3) 以辅音字母加-y结尾的动词,变y为i,再加-ed.eg: hurry-hurried; carry-carried; cry-cried(4) 以元音字母加一辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节动词,先双写该辅音字母,再加-ed.eg: stop-stopped; shop-shopped; step-stepped【注意】至于不规则动词的过去式需要特殊记住。
