六年级下册剑桥版第二单元英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Books and MoviesBooks and movies are two of my biggest passions! I absolutely love getting lost in a great story, whether it's through reading a book or watching a film. Let me tell you about some of my all-time favorites. One book series I'm totally obsessed with is Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. I've read all seven books multiple times and I can't get enough of the magical world of witches, wizards, and epic battles between good and evil. My favorite book is probably Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I love the time travel aspect and the adventures with the Dementors and Sirius Black. But really, every book is amazing.Whenever a new Harry Potter movie would come out, my family and I would go see it on opening night. We're huge fans! The movies bring the incredible story to life through breathtaking special effects and an amazing cast of actors. My favorite is definitely Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2when Harry finally defeats Voldemort once and for all. That final battle is just epic.Another series I'm obsessed with is Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. It combines Greek mythology with modern-day adventures in such a cool way. Percy is dyslexic like me, which I thought was really neat representation. I love how the books take you into this secret world where the Greek gods are real and still ruling from Mount Olympus. They make learning about mythology so much fun.The Percy Jackson movies didn't quite live up to the books in my opinion, but I still enjoyed them. Logan Lerman was perfectly cast as the lead character. My favorite part was the giant bronze Titans at the end of The Lightning Thief. Those special effects were insane! If you couldn't tell already, I'm really into fantasy and adventure stories with plenty of action and magic. But I also love humorous books and movies that just make me laugh until my stomach hurts. My favorite funny book has to be Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. Greg Heffley is such a relatably awkward middle schooler and all his mishaps are hilarious. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies are just as funny as the books in my opinion. I'll never forget the scene where Greg getsstuck with the piece of cheese touch on the basketball court. So gross but so hilarious! The animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie that came out on Disney+ was great too.As much as I love to laugh, I'm also a big fan of movies that tug on your heartstrings. My favorite sad movie is The Fault in Our Stars based on the incredible book by John Green. Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort have such amazing chemistry as the two lead cancer patient characters who fall in love. I cry like a baby every time at that heartbreaking scene in the Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam.Even though it's a tearjerker, The Fault in Our Stars also has lots of funny, life-affirming moments that make you appreciate every day. I related to Hazel's journey so much, despite my not having cancer myself. Her strength and outlook on life taught me valuable lessons about finding joy in hard times.Well, those are some of my absolute favorite books and movies! I could go on and on gushing about them for hours. Maybe sometime I'll tell you about some other great stories I love, like the Hunger Games series or Marvel movies. But for now, I'll leave you with this...Reading and watching movies can provide some of the greatest adventures and open your eyes toso many different worlds beyond your own. To me, that's the highest form of magic!篇2My Brilliant Idea to Save the PlanetHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 11 years old. I want to tell you about my brilliant idea that just might save Planet Earth. It all started a few months ago in science class when we were learning about climate change and how human activity is damaging the environment. As I listened to Mrs. Thompson explain about rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and animals losing their habitats, I felt really sad and powerless. The problems seem so huge! How can kids like me possibly make a difference? The more I thought about it though, the more I realized that if everybody pitched in and made some simple changes, it could add up to something really significant. That night at dinner, I couldn't stop thinking about it and ended up blurting out "We need to do something to help save the planet!" My parents looked a bit surprised but then Dad said "You're absolutely right, Jamie. What did you have in mind?" Ididn't really have any concrete ideas yet, but I was determined to come up with a plan. The next day at school, I gathered my best friends Max, Lily, and Ryan during recess to bounce some ideas off them. Max suggested we could pick up litter around the neighborhood, which is a good idea in theory but doesn't really get at the bigger issues causing climate change. Then Ryan lazily said "I don't know, turn off lights when you leave a room I guess?" Which is definitely a start, but hardly a groundbreaking plan.Lily then spoke up excitedly "Oh oh! I know! What if we invented a new type of fuel for cars and planes that doesn't pollute?" She's really into science and engineering, so her mind always goes there first. I had to admire her ambition, but also had to break it to her gently that kids our age probably can't invent whole new fuel sources. "Nice thought Lily, but maybe we should try to think of simpler things we can actually do ourselves."We spent the rest of recess racking our brains and finally started getting somewhere when Max remembered that his next door neighbor is an older retired guy named Mr. Wilson who seemingly has about a million reusable grocery bags. "He takes like 10 bags with him every time he goes shopping!" Lily added"Yeah! And my grandma is always knitting reusable cloth bags too!"That's when it hit me - reusable bags! What if we could get everyone in our whole city to stop using single-use plastic grocery bags and transition to reusable cloth or thick plastic bags? Just that one simple change could drastically cut down on plastic waste and pollution over time as people reuse their bags over and over instead of throwing them out after one use.I could barely contain my excitement as I explained my vision to Max, Lily, and Ryan. The key would be getting as many households, schools, and businesses on board as possible through an awareness campaign. We could go door-to-door handing out free reusable bags and information about how plastics are destroying the planet. Maybe we could even get the city council involved and push for an eventual ban on plastic grocery bags, like some other cities have done.Ryan, ever the pragmatist, pointed out that reusable bags cost money that some families might not have. But I fired back that we could hold bake sales, car washes, or crowdsourcing campaigns to raise funds for purchasing large numbers of reusable bags to hand out for free or very low cost. We'd just need to get the local community mobilized behind the idea first. My friends could see how fired up I was about this plan, and gradually they got excited too. "You know what, Jamie? This could actually work!" Max said. We spent the rest of recess hashing out all the details like how we'd spread the word, where we could get affordable reusable bags in bulk, which businesses or community leaders we could partner with, and so on. By the time the bell rang to go back to class, we had a clear vision and were totally psyched to get started right away.Of course, the hard work was really just beginning at that point. It took a lot of persistence and coordination with teachers, parents, community groups, and pretty much anyone who would listen. But through bake sales, social media campaigns, presentations at schools and community meetings, and plain old-fashioned boots-on-the-ground work like goingdoor-to-door, we steadily built momentum.People were surprisingly receptive once they understood 1) how big of an impact switching to reusable bags could have, and 2) that we were giving them free reusable bags and just asking them to change a simple habit. A bunch of local businesses and a city council member even got on board as partners. After about 6 months of hard work, it felt like we had a real movement brewing. The big turning point was when we did a reusable bag giveaway and clean-up event at the city's most popular park one Saturday. We must have had over 300 people come through to get their free reusable bags, information about our campaign, and join us in picking up plastic litter across the park. Multiple TV news stations even showed up to cover it!From that moment on, the campaign just exploded. Seemingly everywhere you looked around town, people were carrying reusable bags instead of plastic. More and more stores and restaurants got on board by simply stopping distribution of plastic bags altogether. The momentum grew to the point that late last year, our city council finally voted 5-2 to ban plastic grocery bags from all stores and restaurants starting July 1st of this year!I'll never forget the feeling of being in the council chambers watching them pass that ban after all our hard work over the previous year. My friends and I looked at each other with tears in our eyes - we actually did it! We made a real, lasting change through our simple grassroots campaign. The city is now projecting it will reduce plastic bag consumption by over 100 million bags annually. And hopefully our success story can inspire other cities to do the same.Of course, there's still so much more work to be done on other environmental issues. But I'm deeply proud that at just 11 years old, we were able to make a real, measurable impact right here in our own community. If kids can do this with such a simple idea, just imagine what the bigger solutions for climate change could look like if we all work together.I'll never stop being an environmental activist now and trying to come up with new ideas to make the world better. Because the reality is, if nobody does anything, those heartbreaking scenes of dying animals and melting ice caps that we see in documentaries will become the new normal. We simply can't just sit back and let that happen. Even if you're just a kid, you can change the world through perseverance and smart ideas.I hope my story inspires you to never give up on finding your own brilliant ideas to help save our planet too!篇3My Brilliant Family HolidayLast summer, my family went on the most brilliant holiday to Cornwall in the southwest of England. Every year, we go somewhere different but Cornwall was definitely the best trip yet!I had been looking forward to it for months and it did not disappoint at all.The journey there was quite long as we live in the North, but it was really fun in the car. My little brother Sam and I played loads of games like I Spy and 20 Questions to pass the time. Mum had made us some snacks for the journey too which was great. Every hour or so, we'd stop at a service station for a break and to stretch our legs. I loved watching the scenery change as we drove further south. When we finally arrived at our holiday cottage in a little village called Polperro, I was amazed at how beautiful it was. Our cottage was right in the middle of the village, just off the main street full of little shops, cafes, and art galleries. From our front door, we could see the old fishing harbour with all the boats bobbing up and down in the water. It looked like something out of a storybook! Our first evening, we just settled into the cottage and then went for a walk around the village to get our bearings. Polperro is such an old village with tiny streets that cars can't go down - it was originally built for fishermen after all. I loved exploring all the little alleyways and looking in the shops. We stopped for anice cream from a little parlour and I got my favourite flavour - honeycomb. The next morning, we went to the beach at Polperro Cove. The beach is quite small and was packed since it was such a nice sunny day. Still, we managed to find a spot to set our things down. I couldn't wait to get into the sea! The water was freezing at first but you soon got used to it. Sam and I had competitions to see who could make the biggest splash and the biggest sandcastle. In the afternoon, we went on a long walk along the South West Coast Path which has the most incredible views over the sea. I felt like I could see for miles and miles looking out across the ocean. One day, Mum and Dad surprised us by saying we were going on a boat trip from the harbour. We went on aold-fashioned wooden sailing ship and even got to help put the sails up! The sailor taught us all about how to tie different knots too which was really interesting. We sailed all around the local coastline, spotting seals and seabirds. It was such a unique experience being out on the open water like that.Another brilliant day was when we went to visit the Eden Project. It's these huge biomes (like massive greenhouse domes) housing thousands of plant species from all over the world. Onebiome replicates a tropical rainforest environment while the other has plants from the Mediterranean region. It felt like we'd stepped into a jungle when we went inside! There were trees taller than houses and streams running through the paths. My favourite part was the canopy walkway high up in the rainforest dome where you could see everything from up above. The Mediterranean biome had an amazing scented garden too that was lovely to wander through. Most days, we just relaxed on the beach or went on coastal walks though. We had a body board that we took down to the cove and spent hours riding the waves and trying not to get swept away by the current! Our cottage had a lovely back garden as well where we could sit out in the evenings. Mum and Dad would have a glass of wine while Sam and I played games on the lawn. We had some delicious seafood meals out at restaurants and ice creams too.One of my top memories though was going on a wildlife watching boat tour around the headlands looking for marine animals. The guide was brilliant at spotting things through her binoculars and we saw grey seals lounging on the rocks, dolphins swimming alongside the boat, and even a whale breaching the surface in the distance! We learned so much about all thedifferent creatures. On the way back, we sailed past this tiny island covered in nesting seabirds like guillemots and kittiwakes. It was deafening with all their squawking! All too soon, our holiday was over and it was time to head back home. I was really sad to leave beautiful Cornwall behind. The journey back didn't feel as long though as I just reminisced about all the incredible things we'd done and places we'd seen. Sam and I made Dad tell his worst dad jokes to pass the time! We took so many photos and videos to remember the holiday.I'm already counting down the days until our next big family trip. Cornwall will definitely be a tough one to beat but I can't wait to make more amazing memories like that with my brilliant family. Holidays are the best!。

My Favourite SeasonOf all the four seasons, I love spring the most. It is the season of renewal and hope, bringing with it a sense of warmth and vibrancy. As the winter fades away, the flowers start to bloom, painting the world with a rainbow of colours. The cherry blossoms are particularly beautiful, their delicate petals fluttering in the gentle breeze like pink snowflakes. The air fills with the sweet scent of flowers, making it difficult to resist the urge to take a deep breath and savour the freshness. The trees and grass also come to life, turning green and lush. The birds return from their winter homes, singing cheerfully and adding to the liveliness of the season. The sky appears clearer and bluer, with the sun shining brightly, giving a sense of warmth and happiness. One of the best things about spring is the opportunity to go outdoors and enjoy nature. I love to take walks in the park, admiring the beauty of the flowers and listeningto the birds singing. The gentle breeze feels refreshing, and the sunshine warms my heart.Spring also brings the end of the school year and the beginning of summer holidays. This means more free time to explore and enjoy the outdoors. I look forward to the adventures that spring brings, whether it is picnicking in the park, going for hikes in the mountains, or simplysitting outside and reading a good book.In conclusion, spring is my favourite season. It brings warmth, beauty, and hope to the world. It is a time of renewal and growth, a time to appreciate nature and enjoy the outdoors. I am grateful for the opportunity to experience the beauty of spring each year.**我最喜爱的季节**在四个季节中,我最喜欢春天。

Most English people have three names: a first name, a middle name and the family name. Their family name comes last. For example, my full(完整的)name isJim Allan Green. Green is my family name. My parents gave me both of my other names.People don’t use their middle names very much. So“John Henry Brown”is usually called“John Brown”. People never use Mr, Mrs or Miss before their first names. So you can say John Brown, or Mr Brown; but you should never say Mr John.
