Teaching material:listening ——A quiz about numbers(page53) Students: Junior Form1 Class2

Teaching objectives:

1.Get students to know the numbers by skillful listening.

2.Let students know and learn how to use the listening strategy :

listening for key words

3.Revise some of the vocabulary of numbers: even numbers, odd

numbers, percentages , fractions ,decimal numbers .

4.Practice speaking about the numbers

Language skills: To get the information about the numbers by listening Teaching-aid：a projector and a computer

Teaching procedures：

Step ＩLeading in

Teacher give some pictures which the 7th sports meeting was held on September 30th and review even numbers 、odd numbers、fraction、

decimal numbers and percentage.

Step II Listening

1.Listening A1

(1)Read the Exercise No.1 and No.2, and listen to the tape ,find

the answer to Exercise ask how to catch the answers .

(2) Go on listening to Exercise No.3 to No.10 and check the answer.

2 .Listening A2

(1).Talk about the six pictures

(2)Teacher do picture1 as an example to let Ss know how to write

the formulas

(3)Listen to the pictures one by one and check answers.

(4)Teach the listening strategy :catch the words like :more 、less

early、late、fast 、slow.

3.Listening B

(1)Listen and tick the right answer. Get students to listen to the

tape once and check the answer.

(2)Listen and do the Exercise B2.
