介绍国歌英文作文

介绍国歌英文作文英文:As the national anthem of China, "March of the Volunteers" is a powerful and inspiring song that represents the spirit of the Chinese people. The lyrics were written by poet and playwright Tian Han, and the music was composed by Nie Er in 1935.The song was first used in the Chinese movie "Children of Troubled Times" and quickly became popular among the Chinese people. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, the song was used as a rallying cry for the Chinese people to resist the Japanese invasion. The lyrics of the anthem are full of patriotism and revolutionary spirit, calling on the Chinese people to stand up and fight for their country. The melody is also very stirring and emotional, making it a perfect representation of the Chinese people's fighting spirit. In 1949, when the People's Republic of China was founded, "March of the Volunteers" was officially adopted as the national anthem. Today, it is played on important occasions such as the National Day parade, and is a symbol of the Chinese people's unity and determination.中文:作为中国国歌的《义勇军进行曲》是一首充满力量和激励人心的歌曲,代表着中国人民的精神。

Revealing the Charms of Chinese Music toForeign FriendsAs a high school student passionate about music, I find it exciting to introduce Chinese songs to foreign friends. Chinese music, rich in culture and history, offers a window into the soul of this ancient nation. It ranges from the ancient melodies of the pipa and guqin to the vibrant beats of modern pop, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of Chinese society. One of the first songs I recommend is "Jasmine Flower," a经典老歌 that captures the essence of traditional Chinese music. With its simple yet elegant melody and lyrics that evoke images of love and longing, it provides a taste of the profound emotions expressed in Chinese music. Thesong's popularity among both Chinese and foreigners alike attests to its universal appeal. For those interested in modern Chinese music, I recommend "Despacito" by Jay Chou. This song, a hit both in China and internationally, showcases the unique blend of Chinese and Western music elements. With its catchy melodyand innovative rap style, it demonstrates the innovation and creativity of modern Chinese music.Another noteworthy song is "River Flows in You," a piano composition that evokes a sense of tranquility and peace. Its composer, Yiruma, incorporates traditional Chinese musical elements into his modern composition, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. This song is perfect for those who enjoy listening to relaxing music while appreciating the beauty of Chinese culture. Finally, for those who prefer a more upbeat and danceable tune, I recommend "Little Apple" by Chopsticks Brothers. This song, with its catchy rhythm and fun lyrics, is a perfect representation of the lively and energetic spirit of modern Chinese music. It's sure to get everyone dancing and having a great time.In conclusion, Chinese music is a rich and diverse genre that deserves to be explored and appreciated by everyone. From the经典老歌s that capture the essence of traditional Chinese culture to the modern pop hits that reflect the dynamism of contemporary society, there's something for everyone in Chinese music. I highly recommendmy foreign friends to delve into this musical journey and discover the beauty and charm of Chinese music.**向外国朋友推荐中国歌曲**作为一名热爱音乐的高中生,我向外国朋友推荐中国歌曲是一件令人兴奋的事情。

怎样唱好中国歌曲

怎样唱好中国歌曲

主讲人:郁钧剑中国著名歌唱家、总政歌舞团一级演员Speaker:Yu Junjian怎样唱好中国歌曲How to Sing Chinese Songs Well唱好中国歌,首先要区别一下中国音乐和西方音乐截然不同的审美。

Introduction to Traditional Chinese SongsChina has a rich cultural heritage, and one of the most significant aspects of this cultural heritage is traditional Chinese music. Traditional Chinese songs have been passed down from generation to generation, reflecting the historical and cultural changes of this ancient civilization. One of the most popular traditional Chinese songs is "Mo Li Hua" (茉莉花), which means Jasmine Flower in English. This song dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is widely recognized both in China and around the world. The lyrics describe the beauty of the jasmine flower, which is a symbol of purity, elegance, and grace in Chinese culture.Another famous traditional Chinese song is "Liu Yang River" (流阳河), which tells the story of a river in southern China. The river represents the passage of time and the fleeting nature of life, making it a poignant and melancholic piece of music.Furthermore, traditional Chinese songs often reflect themes of love, nature, and patriotism. For example, the song "Tian Mi Mi" (甜蜜蜜) conveys the sweetness of love, while "Hong Hu Shui" (红河水) praises the beauty of the Red River in Yunnan province. In addition to vocal music, traditional Chinese songs also include instrumental pieces such as "Erhu" (二胡) and "Guzheng" (古筝) music. The erhu is a two-stringed instrument that produces soulful and haunting melodies, while the guzheng is a zither with a history dating back thousands of years.Overall, traditional Chinese songs are a valuable part of China's cultural heritage, conveying the emotions, stories, and aspirations of the Chinese people throughout history. By exploring and appreciating these songs, we can gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and traditions.。

A Simple Study on English -Chinese Song Lyrics Translation○Zhang Jiahui 1Wang Hanting 2(1.Foreign Languages Department ,Inner Mongolia Agricultural University ,Hohhot ,Inner Mongolia ,010020;2.Foreign Languages Department ,Inner Mongolia University ,Hohhot ,Inner Mongolia ,010010)[Abstract ]Music makes our life colorful ,peaceful and passionate. With China ’s opening up ,we have access toexotic music ,especially the music from English -speaking countries. The article focuses on the definitions of song and song lyrics ,the general features of all the song lyrics and the distinctive features of English and Chinese song lyrics respectively. Then the principles and techniques for English -Chinese song lyrics translation are also discussed here.[Key words ]English song lyrics ,Chinese song lyrics ,features ,translation principles and techniques [中图分类号]H315.9[文献标识码]A[文章编号]1672-8610(2012)02-0057-05I.IntroductionMusic makes our life colorful ,peaceful and passionate.Goethe ,the world -famous poet ,ever declared,“He who does not like music is not a true man.”[1]2In modern times ,songs pervade everywhere. And we can easily find English songs of all kinds of forms in bookstores and the Internet. The amount still increases.Obviously ,the Chinese people enjoy English songs from the western countries.English songs are as many as Chinese songs. It is impossi-ble and unnecessary to translate all the English songs into Chi-nese.However ,currently ,as for the number of translated songs ,it is still not enough.Foreign Language and Research Press pub-lished Selected American Folk Songs in 1982,which contained 28songs ,Singing in 1983,122songs ,and English Golden Songs in 1992,55songs.But most of the songs above were just translated loosely with the main ideas. In 1994,100English New Songs and Like Rock and Roll ,published by Xi ’An Jiao Tong Universi-ty Press ,had no Chinese translation ,or it just had occasional translations of some parts. Therefore ,we can see that the Eng-lish -Chinese song lyrics translation works are few.The number is still limited even if we gather all the song books and translated versions scattered.[2]85Song lyrics translation ,as a special flower in the garden of translation appears at the turn of the 19th century and the 20th century.According to incomplete statistics ,in the 1950s ,there were 300translated works on music ,only 54in the first six years of the 1960s and 243from 1978to 1988.It indicates that both at home and abroad there are only a few researchers studying music or song translation. Many English songs have ever been translated and revised. Some popular songs were rendered in Chinese versions ,someeven bore more than one. Therefore ,what is discussed heredeals with aspects as definitions of song and song lyrics ,features of song lyrics ,principles and techniques for English -Chinese song lyrics translation. The examples provided here are mainly popular songs ,because English popular song is a significant way for us to understand and appreciate western culture ,especially ,some wonderful popular songs are quite welcomed by the youth in China.Ⅱ.Definitions and Features of Song Lyrics2.1Definitions of Song and Song LyricsSong is the most direct musical form for people to express their feelings and ideas.Music is an indispensable part of song.Good songs can make the broken heart heal ,blue people bright ,desperate people encouraged.Hence ,a better understanding of music comes from a comprehensive investigation of song and song lyrics.Song is a piece of music ,usually employing a verbal part ,composed for a voice. The two close elements ,words and music ,must go smoothly with the song. They have been combined from the early times. With vocality in common ,words and music are complementary to each other.Music strengthens the effect of words ;words define clearly what music expresses. The relation-ships between words and music ,understood by some composers ,are “Song lyrics hover with wings borrowed from music.”and “Music freely soars in a vaster sky riding on the back of imagina-tive lyrics.”[3]3Song lyrics ,to some extent ,are a type of poetry but not the same.Poetry is either for reading ,reciting or for singing. At present ,those for reading and reciting are widely regarded as poems ;those for singing are accepted song lyrics. As for poems ,their value is realized immediately when they are finished.How-ever,song lyrics cannot obtain the expected identity unless they are combined with music.Musical literature is literary works in-volving music, which is characterized by literature and vocali-ty.[4]To some extent, song lyrics are carriers of the social reality reflection with the help of language.Besides,it must be integrat-ed with music, which will be then transformed into voices and finally transmitted to ears.Hereby it gains an end with its value completely fulfilled.2.2Features of song lyricsAs for the song lyrics translation,it is evidently important to understand the features of the song lyrics.Whatever subjects are selected, song lyrics bear the following features in common.(1)Prominent lyricism:A strong or gentle and romantic emotion is expressed in lyrics.(2)Short length:A song usually contains four, six or eight sentences,no more than thirty sentences.(3)Refined language:Song lyrics all focus on the expres-sion of theme and image with a few succinct words.(4)Coherence:Sentences and meanings are coherent con-cerning the topic of the song.(5)Fertile imagination:Imagination in song lyrics is very vivid and creative, which determines the types of songs.(6)Prosodic beauty:It refers to feet,tone,mood,reitera-tive consonants and vowels, but mainly to bright rhythm,inclu-ding extrinsic and intrinsic rhythm, especially at the end of lines. They may be found in both English and Chinese song lyrics.Take I believe I Can Fly,as an example to illustrate these com-mon features.I Believe I Can FlyI used to think I could not go onAnd life was nothingbut an awfulBut now I knowthe meaning of true loveI’m leaning onthe everlasting armsIf I can see it,then I can do itIf I just believe it,there’s nothing to itI believe I can flyI believe I can touch the skyI think about it every night and daySpread my wings and fly awayI believe I can soarI see me running through that open doorI believe I can flyI believe I can flyv I believe I can fly[5]107Clearly,the song above possesses all the common features we have talked about. In addition, for the conspicuous character-istics of diverse language, song lyrics of different languages have some unique features.Chinese itself is a special language in the world, whose characters are mysterious and also hard things for foreigners to learn well.So there are some unique features of Chinese song lyrics.(1)MonosyllabismChinese words are monosyllabic. One character is one sylla-ble,and just fits one musical note, which is different from Eng-lish words that have more syllables and fit more notes.(2)Four tonesChinese is tone language, which can produce multiple meanings of words. The four tones make Chinese rhythmical, which gives Chinese a kind of musical characteristics. No wonder some foreigners say that learning Chinese is like singing.Mean-while,English is a stress language,with1200syllables.[6]Hence,in order to avoid misunderstanding, the Chinese tones have to suit the tendency of musical notes as much as possible. But it is unnecessary in English songs.(3)Figures of speechChinese is a nation good at using figures of speech, which can be found in many literary woks. Therefore, this skill is also used in song lyrics naturally. We can pick up lyrics with figures of speech easily from some Chinese popular songs, such as“我是一只小小小小鸟,想要飞,却总也飞不高;有时飞上枝头,却成为猎人的目标”in“我是一只小小鸟”sung by Zhao Chuan.Especially, love is always compared to other fantastic things, just as“我和你的爱情好像水晶,没有负担干净又透明”in“水晶”.[7]70In China, there are some excellent English-Chinese trans-lated song lyrics versions, however, the translation process is hard, which is mainly because English song lyrics have their own distinctive features as follows:(1)Prolonged vowelsIn English songs, the prolonged sounds always fall upon the vowels of the words, for only vowels are able to last. For example:Love Me TenderLove me-tender,love me swee-t,never let me go.You have made my life complete, and I love you so.Love me-tender,love me true-,all my drea-ms fulfilled. For my-darlin’I-love you,and I-always will.In the example, the vowels like[i:],[ai]and[u:]are prolonged when uttered, which make people feel natural and en-joyable.(2)AbbreviationIn English song lyrics, some simplified forms or abbrevia-tions always appear in sentences. However, they seldom occur in Chinese song lyrics. There is an example in No Scrubs sung by TLC.Cus I’m lookin’like class and he’s lookin’like trashCan’t get wit’no deadbeat ass So(no)Both“lookin’”and“wit”are abbreviations for“looking”and“with”respectively.(3)PolysemyAn English word always owns many meanings, which requires much consideration when we translate song lyrics. For instance,Iron&Wine has a song named“Flightless Bird,A-merican Mouth”.The word“mouth”has many meanings. Here it refers to estuary. The following is the part of the song lyrics:I was a quick wet boySong Lyrics TranslationDiving too deep for coinsAll of your street light eyesWide on my plastic toysAnd when the cops closed the fair v I cut my long baby hairStole me a dog-eared mapAnd called for you everywhere……Have I found you?Flightless bird, grounded bleedingOr lost you?American mouthBig pill, stuck going downIn the song lyrics, there are several polysemic words,inclu-ding“wet”,“fair”,and“pill”.The word“wet”is concerned with liquid or water. When it is used to modify a person,it shows that he lacks a strong character. The expression“the fair”may be considered as“treating equally”or“a gathering of stalls”.The word“pill”refers to a small flat round piece of medicine. But it has several associative meanings, such as “drug”,“an annoying person”and“something unpleasant and unavoidable”.Therefore,it is a bit difficult for people to trans-late the song into Chinese.(4)SlangSlang is a typical feature of English. It may not be transla-ted correctly without well understanding. In the song lyrics of Seasons in the Sun,“Goodbye PapaPlease pray for meI was the black sheep of the family”There is a slang of“black sheep”.If it is translated as“黑羊”,it surely makes people confused.Actually“black sheep”has the meaning of“败家子”.(5)Irregular ExpressionIrregular expression, funny but a common phenomenon in English,is popular in e-mails as“thax”for“thanks”,“2”for“to”.It even appears in song lyrics. In Sinend O’Connor’s Nothing Compares2U,the song lyrics“Since U took your love away”and“Cus nothing compares2U”are irregular but vivid.Here“2U”means“to you”.Hence, there are so many differences between English and Chinese song lyrics, which surely require translators to pay a great effort on coordinating these two languages smoothly. For in-stance,English composers never think about Chinese tones, but Chinese song lyrics translators must do so.What’s more, most of the Chinese song lyrics are elegant and implicative, not like English song lyrics which are filled with slang or irregular expres-sion.The abbreviation and polysemy of English song lyrics also demand the translators to learn much culture knowledge.There-fore,when we do the English-Chinese song lyrics translation, some principles and techniques should be followed.Ⅲ.Principles and Techniques of English-Chinese SongLyrics Translation3.1Principles of song lyrics translationIn song lyrics translation, the target readers mostly desire to appreciate and sing the translated songs as the source-language readers do.The realization of this purpose calls for the following principles.Obviously, song lyrics translation should follow the common principles of translation. The translator should consider the whole context as a translation unit, which involves both form and con-tent.Specifically,song lyrics are culture-oriented,for lan-guage and culture are always integrated.Hence,in order to in-terpret the lyrics accurately, the translator should not only do some researches on the cultural background of the whole song but also study the singing styles and characteristics of the singers. It is an essential step for the translator to be familiar with the west-ern culture, especially the popular culture, which is a main tendency and the direction revealed by the popular songs. If he has a good understanding of the source text,it will be very help-ful to decide on the general direction or main style of the song lyrics translation.Based on the distinctive features of English song lyrics men-tioned above, especially polysemy, slang and irregular expres-sion,the translator should understand the original idea accurately and interpret the content faithfully, and then fit the translation for singing.Generally speaking, compared with poetry, song lyr-ics are characterized by colloquialism, therefore, the Chinese translated version should reveal this style.Translators should do an effort on keeping the style of music, which is better retained if the rhyme of the Chinese version sounds like that of the original song.Song lyrics translation should also follow the principle of lit-erary translation, for it belongs to the category of literary transla-tion.Liu Zhongde has ever declared that the principle of literary translation should be faithfulness, expressiveness and close-ness.[8]24As for the English-Chinese song lyrics translation, the“closeness”is a significant guide, because most Chinese song lyrics are graceful and fine, while the English ones are filled with slang or vulgar words.Hence the“closeness”here emphasizes that the translated version should be authentic and reflect the original style. The literary style closest to song lyrics is poetry. Therefore, principles in poetic translation theory concerning meter, feet, rhythm, stress are also involved in song lyrics translation.A good literary translation is a creative work.As Mao Dun ever commented,“The translation process is a combination of the writer and the translator as if the writer were writing his own work in another language.Such a translation does not only require the translator’s wit at work but also is fully loyal to the writer’s intention.”[9]203Hence,creativity is encouraged in the song lyr-ics translation, under the guidance of loyalty to the source text.Melodiousness,as a conspicuous feature of song, which could not be found in other literary forms, strengthens the diffi-culty of song lyrics translation. So the translation needs to follow this distinctive feature of song.If they are not fit for singing, the lyrics are just explanations of meanings. No matter how beautiful the translated lyrics are,if it cannot be sung, the translation is still a failure. As for the point, song lyrics translation is special, because it needs not only translating the meaning, but also matc-hing with the melody,so that the product can be sung.Hence, the lyrics should be audible, rather than readable,to make the audience get the general idea at once after hearing the song.Yet,the maintenance of the original style takes precedence oflegibility.Furthermore, feedback about the translation of the whole song can be gained from the popularity of the translated song.3.2Techniques of song lyrics translationBesides the common translation principles, some particular techniques are also needed in song lyrics translation, which focu-ses on the peculiarities of song lyrics.Combined with the fea-tures of both English and Chinese song lyrics analyzed in the pre-vious part, there are some techniques for English-Chinese song lyrics translation.A song normally consists of several parts, with smooth rhythm in narrative parts and fluctuant rhythm in lyrical parts. To meet the requirements of the melodiousness and be loyal to the original intent of the source song, song lyrics translation basi-cally follows a sentence-for-sentence technique.Take the fol-lowing song as an example.Sailing航行I am flying,I am flying, like a bird, cross the sky.我在飞翔,我在飞翔,像一只小鸟,飞过天空I am flying, passing high clouds,to be near you,to be free.我在飞翔,穿越云层,来到你身边,获得自由Just as poetry, song lyrics need to rhyme, either in English or Chinese.Usually,in English, the open vowels are used as rhyme, which are loud and clear, and easily sung by singers, which is just the first feature of English song lyrics we have referred—prolonged vowels. What’s more, the open vowels are very helpful for expressing one’s emotion.Hence, generally speaking, the original rhyme had better be preserved in transla-tion so that the original style will be kept to the maximum.Let’s take Sunshine on My Shoulder as an example:If I had a tale that I could tell you,如果我有一个故事讲给你,I’d tell a tale sure to make you smile我就讲一个故事让你微笑。

介绍一首中国歌并说明理由英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Chinese Song: 'The Eternal Chang'an City'Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite Chinese song. It's called 'The Eternal Chang'an City' and it's sung by a famous Chinese singer named Fang Wenshan. I really love this song and I'm going to explain why.First, let me tell you a bit about the history behind the song. It's all about the ancient city of Chang'an, which was the capital of China during the Tang Dynasty from 618 to 907 AD. Can you believe the Tang Dynasty was over 1,000 years ago? Chang'an was one of the biggest and most prosperous cities in the world back then. Lots of culture, arts, and new ideas flourished there. The lyrics of the song describe the grandeur and magnificence of Chang'an during its heyday. The music video for the song is so cool! It features amazing historical re-enactments filmed on location in the modern city of Xi'an, which was built on the ruins of ancient Chang'an. You getto see dancers in colorful Tang Dynasty costumes performing in front of ancient palaces, city walls, and other archaeological sites. There are also CGI animations that bring the old city back to life in vivid detail. Watching the music video is like taking a journey back in time! But what I love most about this song are the lyrics. Even though the words are pretty old-fashioned, the imagery they use is so beautiful and poetic. It makes me feel like I'm walking through the bustling streets of Chang'an, surrounded by exquisite gardens, towering pagodas, and ornate palaces. One of my favorite lines goes: "The city of eternal peace, grandly arrayed and flourishing, a immortal realm on earth." Can't you just picture how majestic Chang'an must have looked, with all those amazing buildings and courtyards? The lyrics make me imagine all the scholars, artists, and nobles who would have walked those streets in their elegant robes.Another line I really like is: "The moon hangs over the Qingming pools, casting rippling reflections ever-changing yet ever-present." The Qingming pools were famous royal gardens inside the city. I can envision the moonlight shimmering on the surface of the pools, surrounded by blossoming plum trees and pavilions. The lyrics have such a dreamy, romantic feeling. What's really cool is that the song blends old and new styles of music. The main melody is performed with traditional Chinese instruments like the guqin (that's a type of zither) and dizi (a bamboo flute). But there are also modern synthesizers and drums incorporated too. To me, it symbolizes how the spirit and culture of ancient Chang'an still lives on today, even after all these centuries.I've listened to 'The Eternal Chang'an City' like a million times, but it never gets old to me. Every time I hear it, I learn or notice something new about the lyrics and instrumental parts. My parents bought me the CD as well as books about Tang Dynasty history, culture and poetry so I could better understand and appreciate the song.Studying the song has really sparked my interest in that era of Chinese history. Who knew learning could be so much fun? I'm actually thinking of joining our school's Chinese opera club next year so I can learn more about the music and dances from the Tang period. Maybe one day I'll even get to perform an excerpt of 'The Eternal Chang'an City' on stage!Well, that's why 'The Eternal Chang'an City' is my absolute favorite Chinese song. It's got such rich imagery and poetry in the lyrics. The blend of traditional and modern styles is reallyunique and appealing. And when I listen to it, I'm transported back to one of the most fascinating eras of my country's long history and culture. If you haven't heard this modern classic, you gotta check it out!篇2My Favorite Chinese SongHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I am 10 years old. The lyrics are all about being carefree, following your dreams, and not worrying about what others think of you. The verses talk about doing silly dances, wearing whatever crazy outfits you want, and just being free to express yourself however you like. The chorus is really catchy and easy to sing along to. It goes "Tian mi mi, just be yourself! Tian mi mi, do whatever you feel!" Doesn't that just make you want to get up and dance around your room?I love the vibe and energy of this song so much. Sometimes I'll even put the song on repeat and have a big solo dance party in my room for like an hour. My parents think I'm crazy but I don't care - I'm just being me and doing my silly dances like the song says!Another reason I adore this song is because of the awesome music video. It features the singer Zhou Shen along with a bunch of cool dancers wearing the most outrageous and colorful outfits you can imagine. There's one guy dressed as a big fluffy bear, another person is wearing a spacesuit, and Zhou Shen herself has on this wild skirt made of different colored tutus sewn together. Everyone is dancing energetically with huge smiles, not worried about looking goofy at all. They're just having a blast expressing themselves through dance and fashion in whatever wacky way they want.At the end of the video, a bunch of regular people of all ages - kids, teenagers, adults - join in and start dancing too. It makes me so happy to watch because it's all about accepting and embracing who you are, no matter how weird or different youmight seem. The whole vibe is "Who cares what anyone thinks? You do you!" I want to be that free-spirited and confident someday.Whenever I'm feeling self-conscious or worried that I don't fit in, I remember the lyrics of "Tian Mi Mi." My favorite line is "Don't be afraid to be a little unique, let your true colors shine through." That's such an empowering message that I really take to heart. I might be a shy, goofy kid but this song reminds me that I shouldn't hide who I am or try to act like someone else just to fit in. I'm happiest when I can be my 100% authentic self, even if that means doing silly dances in my bedroom to a Chinese pop song!"Tian Mi Mi" just has this ability to lift me up and put me in a positive, confident mindset. The music is fun, the lyrics are meaningful, and the whole vibe is about self-expression, individuality, and not caring what others think. Those are such important ideas for kids my age to learn and this song presents that message in such a joyful, catchy way. Zhou Shen's powerful vocals and the energetic dance beats make you want to jump up and proudly show the world the real you. At least, that's how I feel when I listen to it!I really encourage all of you to check out "Tian Mi Mi" by Zhou Shen if you haven't heard it before. Let the happy, liberated spirit of the song wash over you and give you the confidence to dance, sing, dress, and simply BE yourself with no inhibitions. Stop worrying about fitting in and start celebrating what makes you unique - that's the core message. Just throw on this song and have a one-person dance party in your room if you need a boost of self-love and self-acceptance!Music has the power to change our moods and mindsets, and "Tian Mi Mi" is a prime example of that for me. It's an uplifting anthem about individuality that fills me with joy and self-confidence every time I listen to it. From the positive lyrics to the energetic beat to the vibrant music video, this song is a delightfully fun and important reminder to just be yourself. Sure, I'm just a goofy 10-year-old kid, but I'm my authentic self and proud of it - all thanks to the incredible "Tian Mi Mi!" Give it a listen, dance around like there's no tomorrow, and let your true colors shine through too!篇3My Favorite Chinese Song: "Tian Mi Mi" by Zhou ShenHi everyone! The lyrics were written by the famous poet Yu Xiao, while the music was composed by Chen Ge.So what is "Tian Mi Mi" actually about? Well, the title means "Sweet Honey" in English. The song uses the metaphor of sweet honey to represent the warmth, sweetness, and comforting feelings of being in love. It describes how finding true love is like tasting the most delicious honey that makes your heart feel happy and content."Like a drop of sweet honeySliding down my heart so tenderlyLeaving me drunk with happinessUnable to come back to my senses""The nectar you bring to my worldAllows me to regain my smilesYour caring voice is all I needTo feel safe and at peace again"As you can see, the lyrics use really vivid and poetic language to paint a picture of how amazing it feels to be deeply in love with someone special. My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. Today, I want to talk about my all-time favorite Chinese song called "Tian Mi Mi" by the singer Zhou Shen. This song is so much fun to listen to and sing along with. Let me tell you why I love it so much!First of all, the melody of "Tian Mi Mi" is really catchy and easy to remember. It gets stuck in my head all the time, but in a good way! The tune is upbeat and energetic, making me feel happy and want to dance whenever I hear it. Even though the song is quite fast, the notes flow smoothly from one to the next. I can sing along without getting tongue-tied or running out of breath.Speaking of singing along, the lyrics of "Tian Mi Mi" are simple and repetitive, which makes them perfect for kids like me to learn and memorize. The words don't use very difficult vocabulary, so I can understand what the song is about. It's basically describing sweet and sugary treats like chocolate, candy, and ice cream. Yum! The cheerful, food-themed lyrics put me in a great mood and make my mouth water a little. Not only are the lyrics fun, but they're also really creative and imaginative. For example, one part talks about rains of strawberry milkshakes and rivers of hot chocolate. How coolwould that be?! The lyrics spark my imagination and let my mind dream up delicious fantasy worlds made entirely of desserts. At the same time, the song incorporates little intellectual twists by comparing sugary flavors to geometric shapes and scientific formulas. I enjoy picking up on those clever little hints.Another reason I adore "Tian Mi Mi" is because of the music video. It's filmed in a magical candy land setting with colorful lollipop trees, gingerbread houses, and a river of chocolate that the characters actually sail and swim in! The vibrant, sugary visuals match the feel of the lyrics so perfectly. All the bright colors, animated dancing, and delicious-looking background scenery make me feel like I've been transported into a fantasy world. I get totally immersed in the fun, playful atmosphere whenever I watch it.The cherry on top is that "Tian Mi Mi" has a really cool dance routine that goes along with the song. The moves are energetic but not too complicated, consisting of a mix of classic dance steps and some choreography mimicking eating motions. My friends and I spend a lot of time (maybe too much time!) memorizing and practicing the dance. We like to perform it at school talent shows and birthday parties. It's such a blastdancing along with the catchy rhythm and adorable lyrics about sweet treats.Overall, "Tian Mi Mi" by Zhou Shen is pretty much the perfect song for a kid like me. The melody is super catchy and singable, the lyrics are imaginative and appetite-whetting, and the music video is a visual sugary dreamland. Plus, the whole song and dance routine is just pure, unadulterated fun! Whenever I'm feeling bored or down, listening to and dancing to "Tian Mi Mi" never fails to put a huge smile on my face. It's an absolute mood-booster. I'm sure this sugary, candy-themed bop will remain one of my favorite jams for many years to come!篇5Certainly, here is a 2000 word essay introducing and explaining a Chinese song in English, written from the perspective of an elementary school student:My Favorite Chinese SongHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming, and I'm 10 years old. Today, I want to tell you about my favorite Chinese song. It's called "Tian Mi Mi" which means "Sweet Honey" in English. This song is so much fun and always makes me happy when I listen to it!"Tian Mi Mi" is performed by a very popular Chinese singer named Jay Chou. He's like a huge superstar in China and Taiwan. Jay has released a bunch of amazing albums over the years with all kinds of different musical styles - rock, rap, R&B, you name it! But "Tian Mi Mi" is more of a pop/hip-hop kind of sound. The music video for the song is really cool and creative. It starts with Jay in a colorful animated world, hanging out with these funny little creature characters. As the video goes on, it switches between the animated scenes and real-life footage of Jay performing with his dancers. The dancing is awesome - they do all these slick moves in perfect sync. My favorite part is towards the end when Jay is rapping while walking through the animated candy land background. It's just such a bright, vibrant, feel-good video! But what I really love about "Tian Mi Mi" is the lyrics. Even though the words are pretty simple since it's a kid's song, they paint such a vivid picture in my mind. The lyrics describe this make-believe sweet honey land where everything is delicious and sweet. It makes me think of a magical place filled with candy canes, chocolate rivers, gingerbread houses, and all the most sugary treats you can imagine! Doesn't that sound like the best? The lyrics go "There is a honey flower field, dripping with sweet honey dew. There is a sweet honey boat, sailing across the milky way." I love trying to picture what that sugary boat cruising through the stars would look like! And then it talks about sweet honey rain falling from the sky. I wish we had downpours of honey instead of regular rain - how fun would that be?Another one of my favorite lines is "The bees work so hard, yet they are always sweet. Harvesting enough sweet honey for everyone to eat." I think that's such a nice reminder about how much effort little bees put into making that delicious golden honey we all love. It makes me appreciate them more! But more than just the visuals, the lyrics of "Tian Mi Mi" also teach a good lesson about sharing and not being greedy. It says "The more you take, the more there will be. The more you give, the richer you will be." So it's encouraging people to have a generous spirit and share their sweet honey with others, instead of keeping it all for themselves. I try to apply that idea of giving and sharing in my own life. The melody and beat of "Tian Mi Mi" are also really catchy and fun. Part of the chorus goes "Sweet honey, sweet sweet honey! Sweet honey make me happy!" and it has this bouncy, head-bobbing rhythm that always gets stuck in my head for daysafter I hear it. I'll just be walking around humming "sweet sweet honey" absentmindedly sometimes!Whenever I'm in a gloomy mood or having a bad day, listening to "Tian Mi Mi" never fails to cheer me up. The sweet lyrics, upbeat music, and Jay's joyful performance just seem to instantly brighten my spirits. It's like the song creates this cheerful sugary world in my mind that I can escape to for a few minutes. I'll put it on and dance around my room singing along at the top of my lungs, feeling carefree and happy. That's why "Tian Mi Mi" will always be my number one favorite Chinese song. It's not just a fun, catchy pop tune - it also reminds me to look on the bright side, share with others, and not take anything for granted. Plus, who doesn't love imagining a magical honey paradise?! If you've never heard "Tian Mi Mi" before, I highly recommend you check it out. Just get ready to have that sugary sweet melody stuck in your head for a while!Okay, I think that's all I want to say about my beloved honey song for now. Thanks for reading my essay - I hope you enjoyed learning about "Tian Mi Mi" as much as I enjoyed writing about it! Let me know if you give it a listen. Sweet honey make you happy!篇6My Favorite Chinese SongHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my absolute favorite Chinese song. It's called "Tian Mi Mi" which means "Sweet as Honey" in English. This song is by a hugely popular Chinese singer named Li Ronghao. Li Ronghao is part of a superstar boy band called THE9. They're awesome!I first heard "Tian Mi Mi" when my older sister Meimei was playing it really loudly in her room one day. At first I thought it was kind of annoying with all that loud music coming through the walls. But then I actually listened to the words and the beat and I got totally hooked! I asked Meimei to play it for me over and over again. Soon I had memorized all the lyrics and I've been obsessed with it ever since. So what makes "Tian Mi Mi" so awesome? Well, first of all, the music video is just stellar. It starts with Li Ronghao waking up in this super fancy bedroom. The sheets on his enormous bed look incrediblysoft and cozy. Then he goes over to this huge window and throws open the curtains. The sunlight pours in and you see he's in a mansion up in the mountains surrounded by forests and streams. It's like a magical fairy tale setting! As the video goes on, you see Li singing and dancing in all these amazing outdoor locations - by a waterfall, on a wooden bridge over a creek, lying in a field of flowers. The whole time he's wearing these sleek modern outfits that make him look so cool and handsome. At one point he's joined by the other eight members of THE9 and they all dance together with this incredible energy and chemistry. Their choreography is just mind-blowing!But as awesome as the visuals are, it's really the song itself that makes "Tian Mi Mi" so special. The melody is crazy catchy and gets stuck in your head for days. The beat has this irresistible groove that makes you want to get up and dance along. And Li's vocals are simply outstanding - his voice is powerful yet beautiful and emotive. He can effectives convey both intense feelings of love and more nuanced shades of emotion. The lyrics of "Tian Mi Mi" are what really set it apart though. On the surface, it's a fun, upbeat love song about how wonderful the singer's romantic partner is. He sings about how their love is "sweet as honey" and how he can't get enough of them. But if you read between the lines, the lyrics are incredibly deep, poetic, and multi-layered.For example, take a line like "Your embrace encircles me softly, I'm home among these flower fields." To me, that's not just about hugging his girlfriend. It's a metaphor for how loved and safe he feels in their relationship, like he's finally found his true home in the world. Or how about "Galaxies spin in your pupils, I'm lost in that cosmic dance." That's some powerful imagery about getting completely entranced by the person you love and feeling like you're exploring infinite realms of beauty in their mere gaze.I may only be 10 years old, but I can sense the passion and artistry in Li's songwriting. And I'm not alone - "Tian Mi Mi" was a massive hit across China and much of Asia when it came out last year. Everyone from little kids to grandparents were singing along to it. People just connected with the song's message of cherishing love on the deepest level while also getting swept up in its fun, danceable sound. There are plenty of other reasons why "Tian Mi Mi" became such a phenomenon too. The way it blends traditional Chinese musical elements with modern pop stylings. Its sense of joyful positivity during some tough times for China and the world. How Li Ronghao just absolutely shines as a charismatic leading manthroughout the video and Song. You can tell he's a true natural star. But most of all, "Tian Mi Mi" is amazing because of how it makes me feel. Whenever I listen to it, I'm instantly filled with this rush of happiness and energy. All my stresses and worries just melt away. I get this big goofy smile on my face and I can't stop singing the lyrics at the top of my lungs, dancing all around my room like a crazy person. The song just transports me to this sublime state of pure joyful bliss. And you know what? I hope everybody who's reading this gets a chance to experience the magic of "Tian Mi Mi" too. Put on your headphones, watch the music video, and let this incredible song wash over you. Maybe you'll be skeptical at first, especially if you don't understand the Chinese lyrics. But I guarantee that Li Ronghao's incredible voice, the toe-tapping beats, and those profound words about love's sweetness will quickly win you over. You'll be humming and dancing along in no time!So those are the reasons why "Tian Mi Mi" by Li Ronghao is an all-time iconic Chinese pop masterpiece in my book. Its dazzling music video and intoxicating melodies. Profound yet fun lyrics about the beauty of love. The sheer star power andcharisma of Li himself. And most importantly, its ability to utterly uplift my spirit and fill me with pure happiness every single time I listen.I may be young, but I'm already confident that "Tian Mi Mi" will be a song I cherish for the rest of my life. Whenever I hear those opening notes, I'll be transported back to the utter bliss I felt at 10 years old. If you'd like to understand what all the fuss is about, go experience this little slice of sonic heaven for yourself. You'll quickly see why it's my favorite Chinese song ever!。

华文中宋英文版The Chinese Song in English TranslationIn the vast tapestry of world literature, there exists a profound and captivating tradition that has captivated the hearts and minds of countless individuals across the globe – the rich and enigmatic world of classical Chinese poetry. Among the many treasures that have emerged from this timeless tradition, one particular poetic form has left an indelible mark on the literary landscape, transcending linguistic and cultural boundaries to inspire and enchant readers from all walks of life – the Chinese Song. The Chinese Song, or ci in its original Chinese form, is a unique poetic genre that developed during the Song dynasty, a golden age in Chinese history renowned for its cultural and artistic achievements. Unlike the regulated verses of the Tang dynasty, the ci poem was characterized by its greater flexibility in structure, rhythm, and rhyme, allowing poets to explore a wider range of themes and emotions. At the heart of the ci tradition lies the intricate and evocative interplay between language and music. The ci poem was not merely a literary composition, but a lyrical form intended to be set to music, with each poem corresponding to a specific musical mode or melody. This symbiotic relationship between poetry and music gave birth to a rich tapestry of artistic expression, where the rhythmic cadence and melodic harmonies of the music seamlessly wove together with the poetic imagery and emotional resonance of the words. One of the most celebrated masters of the ci form was the renowned poet and musician, Su Shi, also known by his style name, Su Dongpo. Su Shi's poetic genius and profound understanding of the human experience have made him a revered figure in the annals of Chinese literature, his works transcending the boundaries of time and space to captivate readers across generations. In su Shi's ci poems, the reader is transported to a world of profound contemplation and emotional depth. His verse often reflects on the fleeting nature of human existence, the cyclical patterns of nature, and the profound mysteries that lie at the heart of the human experience. With a masterful command of language and a keen eye for sensory detail, Su Shi weaves together vivid imagery, introspective reflections, and a deep appreciation for the beauty and complexities of the natural world. One of the most renowned of Su Shi's ci poems is "Shui Diao Ge Tou," or "Prelude to the Olympic 'River Rhythm' Melody." This poetic masterpiece, which was composed during a period of political exileand personal turmoil, has become a beloved and iconic work in the Chinese literary canon. The poem begins with a vivid description of the majestic West Lake, a renowned scenic spot in the city of Hangzhou. Su Shi's words paint a mesmerizing picture of the lake's serene waters, the gentle rippling of the waves, and the lush, verdant landscape that surrounds it. Through these evocative images, the reader is immediately transported to the tranquil setting, imbued with a sense of peace and contemplation. As the poem progresses, Su Shi's focus shifts to the deeper emotional and philosophical undercurrents that permeate the scene. He reflects on the ephemeral nature of human existence, likening the ebb and flow of the lake's waters to the transient nature of life itself. The poet's words are imbued with a profound melancholy, a recognition of the inevitable cycles of growth, decay, and renewal that govern the natural world and the human experience.Yet, amidst this bittersweet contemplation, Su Shi's verse also reveals a profound appreciation for the beauty and wonder of the natural world. He revels in the sensory delights of the lake – the gentle breeze, the shimmering reflections, the vibrant hues of the landscape – and finds solace in the enduring rhythms of nature, which serve as a counterpoint to the fleeting nature of human existence.Through the skillful interplay of vivid imagery, metaphorical resonance, and philosophical depth, Su Shi's "Shui Diao Ge Tou" emerges as a masterpiece of the ci tradition, a work that transcends the boundaries of time and culture to speak to the universal human experience. The enduring appeal of Su Shi's ci poems, and the Chinese Song tradition more broadly, lies in their ability to capture the profundity of the human condition, to distill the essence of the lived experience into the timeless medium of poetic expression. These works speak to the shared emotions, the deep-rooted connections, and the fundamental mysteries that bind us together as human beings, regardless of our cultural or linguistic backgrounds. As we delve into the rich tapestry of the Chinese Song, we are reminded of the power of poetry to transcend the limitations of language and culture, to bridge the gaps that divide us, and to illuminate the universal truths that lie at the heart of the human experience. In the timeless verses of Su Shi and his contemporaries, we find a source of inspiration, a wellspring of wisdom, and a testament to the transformative power of artistic expression.。

给英国笔友推荐中文歌的英语作文

给英国笔友推荐中文歌的英语作文

给英国笔友推荐中文歌的英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Dear English Pen Pal,Hi there! I'm so excited to tell you all about some of my favorite Chinese songs. Music is one of my biggest hobbies and I just love listening to songs in different languages. There's something really special about Chinese music!First up, I have to recommend one of the biggest Chinese pop stars - Jay Chou. He's like the Justin Timberlake of China! My favorite song by him is called "Qing Hua Ci" which means "Carolina Drama of Life" in English. It's a really beautiful love song with cool rock vibes. The music video has Jay walking around in a long black coat looking super mysterious. I don't understand all the lyrics since my Chinese isn't perfect, but I can feel the emotion and passion in his voice. That's the great thing about music - you can enjoy it even if you don't know what the words mean!Another singer I'm obsessed with right now is Li Ronghao. She's a bit newer on the scene but her voice is incredible. Myfavorite song by her is "Tan Wan" which means "Parasite" - cool name, right? It has kind of an edgy R&B/pop vibe. The lyrics are all about breaking free from someone who was holding her back and becoming her true self. Such an empowering message! The music video is fire too with Li dancing in some awesome futuristic outfits. I've probably listened to this song like 100 times already. For something a little more traditional, you have to check out "Mo Li Hua" (or the "Jasmine Flower" in English) by Zhang Zhehan. It's this gorgeous classic folk song that's been popular for decades. Whenever my grandparents visit, they always put this one on and reminisce about their younger days. The melody is so pretty and delicate, kind of like a jasmine flower itself. Zhang Zhehan's voice is so crisp and clear too. It's amazing how a song from the 1920s can still sound so timeless! I bet you'd recognize the tune even if you've never heard it before. Now for something completely different - have you ever listened to any Chinese rap? It's getting huge here, especially with the younger kids my age. My personal favorite artist is MC Siqi. He's only 14 but he's already topping the charts! His biggest hit is a song called "Cha Cha" and it's sooo catchy. The beat is fire and Siqi's rhymes are out of this world. Like, how does he rap sofast at his age?? My friends and I try to keep up with the lyrics but we can barely even understand what he's saying half the time. The music video is epic too with Siqi dressed up as this Chinese warrior slaying demons and stuff. It's just such a cool East-meets-West mashup of traditional Chinese culture and hip hop.Oh, and I can't forget about Chinese rock! The band that everyone is listening to lately is called Fallen Skies. They kind of remind me of Linkin Park but with Chinese lyrics. My favorite song by them is "Yi Shi Fei Shui" which means "Awaking Blaze" in English - how metal is that name?? The verses are really heavy and intense but then the chorus opens up into this big anthemic singalong. The guitar solos will just melt your face off too. All the rock kids at my school are obsessed with Fallen Skies. I kind of want to dye my hair blue and black like the lead singer, but my mom would kill me! Maybe I'll do it when I'm older haha.Anyway, those are some of the biggest Chinese songs and artists that my friends and I are jamming out to lately. Isn't the music scene here so cool and diverse? You've got little bit of everything - pop, R&B, folk, rap, rock, you name it! And the best part is you don't even have to understand the lyrics to vibe out. It's just such a fun cultural experience.Let me know if you end up checking out any of these songs/artists! I'd love to hear what you think of them. Chinese music is still pretty underrated globally, but I have a feeling it's going to blow up and go totally mainstream soon. You're getting an early look at what all the kids will be listening to! Who knows, maybe I'll be a Chinese pop star myself one day. A girl can dream, right?Your friend,[Your Name]篇2Dear Penpal,Hi! It's me again, your friend from China. I'm so excited to tell you about some of my favorite Chinese songs. Music is really important in my culture and I wanted to share it with you. Maybe you can learn the words and sing along too!The first song I want to tell you about is called "Tian Mi Mi" by Zhou Shen. It's a really happy and upbeat song. The lyrics are all about how beautiful and mysterious the world is. They say things like "The stars in the sky are like little eyes watching over us" and "The ocean is deep blue, deeper than any dream." I really like the images they use of nature being full of secrets waiting tobe discovered. The music video has a cartoon dinosaur exploring a magical forest which is super cute! Whenever I listen to this song it makes me want to go on an adventure.Another song I love is "Shui Diao Ge Tou" which means "Water Flows From The Rocks." This one has a more traditional Chinese sound with lots of stringed instruments. The singer's voice is really powerful and you can tell she's putting a lot of emotion into the performance. The lyrics are all in the form of metaphors comparing different life situations to natural scenery. Like one part goes "When the seasons change, the blossoms fall. Drifting along like my thoughts that wander far away." I think it's supposed to be about feelings of loneliness or uncertainty. Even though I don't fully understand the deeper meaning yet, I'm drawn to the haunting melodies and gorgeous imagery. For a totally different vibe, I have to recommend "Huai Niang" by Vogue Ye. It's an upbeat dance pop number but with some fun rapped verses too. The song is all about female empowerment and encouraging girls to pursue their dreams without letting anyone hold them back. The music video is amazing too - it's set in the future with Vogue Ye as some kind of powerful cyborg leading a rebellion of dancers. My friends and Ihave spent hours trying to learn the choreography. Just don't tell my mom I'm listening to "sugary pop music" as she calls it!If you're in the mood for something more chilled out, check out "Hai Tao Hua" by My Ubugoe. This guy has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard - it's almost like he's whispering and yodeling at the same time. The music is really minimalistic too, just some soft guitar plucking and atmospheric sound effects. You can barely even make out the lyrics which seem to be about the loneliness of being at sea for too long. I know it sounds strange, but I find this song really soothing to listen to when I'm feeling stressed or having trouble falling asleep.Okay, I've saved my absolute favorite for last - "Kai Kou Chang" by Fang Xiang Rui. This song tells the story of a young woman leaving her village to seek her fortune in the big city. The lyrics are filled with so much hope, determination and bittersweet nostalgia. The combination of traditional Chinese instruments like the erhu and dizi with more modern synths and beats is so powerful. There's an incredible music video too that intercuts scenes of Fang performing with reenactments of the young woman's journey. I must have watched it a hundred times, and it still gives me goosebumps during the climactic chorus!I really hope you'll check out some of these songs and let me know what you think. Chinese music is so rich and diverse, with influences from all over the country and spanning centuries of history and tradition. I tried to pick a variety of styles to give you just a small taste. Who knows, maybe you'll discover your new favorite artist!Your friend,[Your name]篇3My Favorite Chinese SongsHi my English pen pal! I'm so excited to tell you about my favorite Chinese songs. Music is super fun and I love listening to Chinese pop songs. Maybe you can learn the words and sing along too!One of my top favorite singers is Jay Chou. He's from Taiwan and he's been making music for a really long time. I love the song "Qīlián Xuānjī" by him. It's about a fantasy story with angels and demons battling each other. The music video has amazing animation that looks like a movie! Here are some of the lyrics:穿過煉獄的暗湧走過陰暗的幽冥I walk through the dark surges of purgatory, past the gloomy underworld挺過血肉的折磨撐過永遠的絕望Enduring the torment of flesh and blood, persisting past eternal despairThe lyrics sound kind of sad but the tune is actually really catchy and epic. Jay Chou is awesome at storytelling through his songs. I like pretending I'm one of the angels or demons when I sing along!Another singer I absolutely love is G.E.M., which stands for Get Everybody Moving. My current favorite song by her is"Hàiguān Shàonián". It's all about being a young kid who wants to grow up and explore the world. But it reminds you to keep your childlike curiosity and sense of wonder. Here are some of my favorite lyrics:我還是個啟航的少年對未來無所畏懼I'm still a young lad setting sail, unafraid of the future只要放手一搏人生就神馳馳遺As long as I take that brave first step, life will be an incredible rideIsn't that so inspiring? G.E.M. has such a powerful and beautiful voice. Her songs always make me feel brave and excited for life's adventures. I want to travel the world when I'm older, just like the lyrics say!Of course, I can't talk about Chinese music without mentioning THE classic song "Tónghuà" by Zhang Shu Ren from the 90's. It's a super nostalgic song that every kid in China knows. The lyrics are all about happy childhood memories and appreciating what you have. Like this part:曾經跌碰過無數次I've stumbled and fallen countless times在您疼惜的面孔上我從未看見過嘲弄的眼光But on your caring face, I've never seen a mocking lookIt makes me really thankful for my parents' love and all the good times I've had growing up so far. Whenever I hear"Tónghuà" it just fills me with warm fuzzies! Those are some of my top favorite Chinese songs at the moment. Aren't the lyrics beautiful and full of meaning? Chinese songs often tell little stories or share inspiring messages. It's not just people singing about love and heartbreak like in English pop songs (though we have those too).I really hope you'll give these artists a listen! You can find their songs online or ask your Chinese friends to share good playlists. Let me know if you end up learning any of the lyrics. We can video chat and sing together! Doesn't that sound fun? Can't wait to hear what you think of Chinese music!Your pen pal,[Your name]篇4Here's an essay recommending Chinese songs to an English pen pal, written from the perspective of an elementary school student in about 2000 words:Hi Jenny! How are you? I'm so excited to write to you again! I really enjoyed your last letter where you told me about your family's trip to the beach. It sounded like so much fun playing in the ocean and building sandcastles. We don't have any beaches near my city, so I loved imagining it through your words.Anyway, in your last letter, you asked me what kind of music I like listening to. Well, one of my favorite things is Chinese songs! There are so many good ones with catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics. I want to share some of my favorites with you.The first song I'll recommend is called "Tian Mi Mi" by Zhou Shen. It's a really upbeat and cheerful song that always makes me want to dance around. The music video is so fun too - it has all these bright colors and the singers are doing silly dances. Whenever I hear this song, it instantly puts me in a great mood! The lyrics are about being thankful for the small joys in life, like a sunny day or hanging out with friends. It reminds me to appreciate the happy moments.Another song I love is "Xiao Pingguo" by Chrissy Chiu. This one is more of a ballad with a beautiful melody. The lyrics describe a small apple growing up, facing the rain and wind, but becoming sweeter because of those challenges. I think the deeper meaning is about persevering through hard times and coming out stronger on the other side. Doesn't that remind you of the apple tree in your backyard that you wrote about? The music video shows scenes of nature which I really like.If you're in the mood for something more upbeat, you have to listen to "Huanying Guanglin" by Jay Chou. It's got this awesome rap part and a sick beat that makes you want to jump around. The lyrics are pretty funny too - they're all about JayChou welcoming people to his imaginary kingdom and bragging about how great it is in a joking way. My friends and I like to dance to this one at recess and make up our own silly handshakes. So energetic and fun!For a beautiful ballad, check out "Sheng Xia de Xiao Mo Sheng" by Nan Quan Mama. The lyrics are incredibly moving - they're all about the circle of life and feeling grateful for the people we have in our lives while we have them. There's a line that goes "In the stories of generations to come, I want to leave behind ripples, not the loudest sound." Isn't that such a profound thought from a kid's perspective? The music is hauntingly gorgeous too.My final recommendation is "Fang Yuan Zhi Lu" by Zhou Shen (same singer as the first one!). It's an anthemic, powerful song that fills me with motivation. The lyrics are all about working hard to pursue your dreams and aspirations despite any obstacles in your way. The chorus goes "On the road to glory, thousands of hardships are waiting. My passion is my life's companion, let's go!" Doesn't that pump you up and inspire you to chase your goals? This song is my go-to whenever I need an energy boost. So those are some of my top picks for you to check out, Jenny! I really hope you'll listen to them and let me know what you think. Maybe you can even recommend some awesome English songs for me in your next letter. I'm always eager to discover new tunes!Well, I should probably stop rambling now. Give my best to your family! I'm counting down the days until summer so we can hopefully meet up for our yearly playdate if your parents allow it. I've already started a list of all the fun activities we can do.Your friend,[Your Name]篇5Dear British Penpal,Hi there! How are you doing? I'm so excited to tell you all about some of my favorite Chinese songs. Music is a huge part of my life and I just love listening and dancing to Chinese pop tunes. They're super catchy and fun!The first singer I have to tell you about is Jay Chou. He's like the king of Mandopop (that means Mandarin pop music). My older sister is obsessed with him and has giant posters of himcovering her bedroom walls. His songs are a mix of rock, rap, and traditional Chinese styles. It's a really unique sound. One of his biggest hits is called "Nánrén Nǚrén" which means "Man and Woman" in English. It's about a guy going through a tough breakup but staying strong. Even though I'm just a kid and don't really understand heartbreak yet, I still think the tune is so cool. Jay does all these awesome vocal runs and the music video has some sick dance moves I try to learn.Another must-listen Jay Chou song is "Dǒng Fēng Pò" or "Easterly Wind Breaks." This one is inspired by traditional Chinese music and instruments like the erhu which gives it such a beautiful, distinctive sound. The lyrics are filled with poetic imagery about nature and romance. I don't fully get all the metaphors yet but I know it's supposed to be this epic love story.Enough about Jay though, let me tell you about some other awesome Chinese artists! Have you heard of Joker Xue? He's this super talented young R&B singer. His voice is like butter and his songs are all slow jams. The lyrics can get kind of cheesy with all the romantic metaphors about love and heartbreak, but I still think they're catchy as heck.My favorite Joker song right now is "Búyào Zàixiǎnzhe" meaning "Don't Smile At Me." It's about how someone'sbeautiful smile makes the singer's heart race and he doesn't know how to act around them. So silly but such a sweet concept!I especially love the part where Joker hits these crazy high notes.I try to hit them too but my voice just cracks and squeaks. For something more upbeat, you have to check out JPM or J.Rie Peterson. He's this super cool rapper who mixes hip hop with Chinese traditional instrumentals. His flow is straight fire and I find myself trying to learn and recite his rap verses all the time, even though I don't understand much of the slang.JPM's banger "Fēng Shǒu" or "Fortune T eller" is my jam! The music video shows him rapping on these ancient looking city walls which I think is so awesome. And the beat has this hypnotic, mystical Chinese flute sample woven throughout. He also references all these myths and legends in his rhymes which makes me want to learn more about that side of Chinese history. Those are some of the top artists, but I have to give you a few more song recommendations too! Like "Wǒ Huì ZhǔnbèiHǎo" by Lay Zhang of the K-pop group EXO. It's got explosive vocals, hard-hitting beats, and the lyrics are all about persevering through adversity. Lay's performances of it are ridiculously high energy. Then there's "Měilì Xìn Shìjiè" (which translates to "Beautiful New World") by Chris Li. Such a beautiful, inspirational anthem with an epic, cinematic sound. The words are all about chasing your dreams and the music video has scenes of Chris singing in these grand natural landscapes. I zone out envisioning myself on adventures whenever I hear it!For some real emotion and passion, you can't miss "XiǎoÀihǎo" ("Little Lover") by Leah Dou. It's this gut-wrenching power ballad where Leah goes off with her amazing vocals. My mom says it reminds her of the epic love songs they played back in her youth. She gets misty every time this comes on!Phew, I could honestly go on forever! Chinese music is a whole new world with so many different styles and vibes to explore. I wish I could teleport you here to experience it in person. We'd be jamming out together for sure!Let me know if you check out any of the songs I mentioned. I'm curious to hear what you think! I can also give you more recommendations based on which ones you like best. Maybe you can even teach me some hot British tunes too. Although I have to warn you, my English isn't as good as my Mandarin yet!Your Friend,[Your Name]。
