On the Eve of the Spring Festival, I made dumplings with my family, talking and laughing , after which we stayed up late till midnight , watching the CCTV Party and welcoming the arrival of the New Year． Early in the next morning, we dressed up to visit our neighbors and relatives， giving best wishes to each other . To my joy, I was given much lucky money .

The Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival in China. It falls on the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar and lasts half a month．Before the Spring Festival，people who live or work faraway will hurry home for a family reunion，no matter how far they have to travel．On the Eve of the Spring Festival，the whole family sit together having a reunion dinner．After the dinner，they will watch TV until far into the night，greeting the coming of the New Year．During the Spring Festival，people will call on the relatives and friends．The Spring Festival is the most joyful occasion for the children：they often get a lot of gift money wrapped in red paper.

What impressed me most was the change of the traditional custom of setting off firecrackers. In the past, every family was active in setting off firecrackers, making the sky bright and colorful. But beautiful and exciting as firecrackers are, they do great damage to the environment. So this year, with more and more people aware of the harm of the firecrackers and with hazy weather frequently occurring, a decreasing number of people set off firecrackers. Some even refused to do that, which greatly helped improve the quality of the air. While I couldn’t experience the excitement of setting off firecrackers, I’m so delighted to see a clean and clear sky above me.

写的能力要在写的实际中提高。不动笔写，永远也不 会有真正提高。只有日积月累，才能有所突破。要动笔 写句子，写小短文，先是三句、五句，表达一个完整的 意思，再到高考要求的十句左右的短文。平时要认真完 成老师布置的每篇作文练习，写作练习要养成了良好的 写作习惯。完成一篇书面表达一般应采取以下步骤： 1.审题：弄清体裁和题材，看清提示和注意点，确定 格式、人称和时态。 2.抓点：用短语和句型列出要点。 3.造句：将要点扩写成句。 4.成文：连句成文。准确使用过渡词，使行文流畅。 5.改错：注意时态、拼写和标点等是否正确。 6.誊写：修改无误后，认真规范地誊写。要注意大小 写和标点符号，养成良好的书写习惯。 一篇质量较高的短文应做到要点齐全，语法正确，表 达准确，句型多样，逻辑性强，卷面整洁。
