Afterwards, Earth lay with Heaven and bare some babies, including Rhea and Cronos who was wily, youngest and most terrible of her children, and he hated his lusty sire-Heaven. Heaven was so vicious that he hide his sons all away in a secret place of Earth so soon as each was born. Earth, as Heaven’s wife, was so anxious that she hope her sons can publish their father. Cronos, one of her son, agree with his mother and finally succeed to publish his father with his mother’s sickle. Cronos married Rhea and bare some splendid children, including Zeus. But, in case other proud sons hold the kingly office, Cronos swallowed each son of him. To save her stout-hearted Zeus, Rhea sent him to Lyetus and just gave Cronos a great stone to eat. So, Zeus was left behind, unconquered and untroubled, and that he was soon to overcome Cronos by force and drove him from his honors, himself to reign over the deathless gods.
