间主题单元学习概述本单元话题取材于《义务教育英语课程标准》话题项目表第12项饮食(Food and drinks)中的第37条食物。

该话题在初中教材中第一次涉及。

因与学生生活息息相关,他们有深刻的生活体验,易于接受,有话可说,乐于表达。

在Section A 部分,Listening & Speaking以生日派对为话题,呈现了有关假设和推论的语言点,重点突出i f…will…句型。

在2a-2d部分呈现谈话主题几活动举办时间,同时涉及到活动内容和组织形式,并在2d部分呈现对话范例,补充情态动词should的使用,从而练习用英文给他人提出建议。

Why:本单元选择“做决定”为主题,包含“预测”的认知能力相关思维素养。

八年级学生在生活和学习中会遇到很多做决定的情况,本单元设计能帮助学生对问题进行分析,并采取行动;另外,当学生在遇到困惑时,往往没有更加有效的解决办法,单元选取的语篇,帮助学生了解遇到问题可以从他人那里获得建议,同时也引导学生积极给他人提供建议,建立良好的生活态度。

How:本单元在Section A 的L&S当中,首先通过图片对话导入,让学生匹配不同的假设,从而体会if引导的条件状语从句的使用;然后在听说教学中,通过对话形式引导学生关注听力细节,提升听力策略应用,并在之后提供对话范例,便于学生开展语言输出训练。

Unit 10 American literature整体感知背景知识“The Gift of the Magi” In the story, “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry, I believe the theme was, sacrificing what you take great pride in is not always the best choice. It is not how much or what the gift is, it is what the meaning behind the gift is. Della and Jim are a married couple. The author wrote, “There were two possessions of the James Dillingham Youngs in which they both took mighty pride in.” This proves Della and Jim are married. They are a very poor and selfless couple. Della only had one dollar and eighty-seven cents to buy Jim a ChristmasI feel that you should read the wonderful story, “The Gift of the Magi,” because it is a brilliant story that shows the true meaning of Christmas which could be explained in three words: love, sacrifice, and gratefulness. The two main characters, Della and Jim, had an everlasting love for each other which could never be broken. For example, they sacrificed what meant most to both of them to buy the other a present for Christmas. Last, they still showed gratitude to have each other even after their most precious things were gone. In all, “The Gift of the Magi” is a heartfelt story that should be read by all. One reason to read the story is because it shows the love that the main characters have for each other which many people can relate to. In the beginning of the story, Della and Jim, a young couple struggling to earn money, have an undying affection for one another.
