In the painful struggle, the new order was born from the old order." In the east, The baby was born! Comrades, Qi forward! Run to the campfire in Russia! Welcome to the dawn! "Later, she gradually became the left wing of the Socialist Party and became a member of Wobbly, the World Federation of Industrial Workers, a coalition of syndicalists persecuted by Woodrow Wilson. When Keller became a socialist, she was a famous woman of the world. But she soon became discredited, because of the shift to socialism, which led to a new public opinion storm. Those who once praised her courage and wisdom of the newspaper, instead of emphasizing her disability. Columnists have accused her of having no independent sensory acceptance and are subject to those who instilled in her thoughts. The most typical is the editor of the Brooklyn Eagle. He wrote that Keller's "error stems from the obvious defects of her physical development."Keller recalls that she had seen the editor. I was embarrassed, but now that I stand up to support socialism, he reminds me and the public that I am a deaf and blind person who is particularly error-prone. Probably, since I had seen him,my brain was shrinking. "She went on to say:" Oh, "the Brooklyn Eagle" is too funny, it is deaf and blind on social issues, it maintains a difficult We are trying to prevent blindness, and this system is the root cause of most blind deafness.Keller's second generation is largely committed to raising funds for the American Blind Foundation, and she believes that our society needs a radical change that has never been shaken. Helen Keller once wrote about these early days. One beautiful spring morning I was alone in my room, reading. Suddenly a wonderful smell in the air made me get up and put out my hands . The spirit of spring seemed to be passing in my room. "What is it?"I asked. The next minute I knew it was coming from mimosa tree outside. I walked outside to the edge of the garden, toward the tree. There it was, shaking in the warm sunshine. Its long branches, so heavy with flowers, almost touched the ground. I walked through the flowers to the tree itself and then just stood silent. Then I put my foot on the tree and pulled myself up into it. I climbed higher and higher until I reached a little seat. Long ago someone had put it there. I sat for a long time... Nothing in all the world was like this.Later Helen learned that nature could be cruel as well as beautiful. Strangely enough she discovery this in a different kind of tree. One day my teacher and I were returning from a long walk. It was a fine morning but it started to get warm and heavy. We stopped to rest two or three times. Our last stop was under a cherry tree, a short way from our house. The shade was nice andthe tree was easy to climb. Miss Sullivan climbed with me. It was so coot up in the tree, we decided to have lunch there. I promised to sit still until she went to the house for some food. Suddenly a change came over the tree. I knew the sky was black because all the heat which meant light to me had died out of the air. A strange odor came up to me from the earth . I knew it. It was the odor which always comes before a thunder storm. I felt alone, cut off from friends, high above the firm earth. I was frightened and wanted my teacher. wanted to get down from that tree quickly, but I was no help to myself. There was a moment of' terrible silence. Then a sudden and violent wind began to shake the tree and its leaves kept coming down all around me. I almost fell. I wanted to jump, but was afraid to do so. I tried to make myself small in the tree as the branches rubbed against me. Just us I thought that both the tree and I were going to fall, a hand touched me . It was my teacher. I held her with all my strength, then shook with joy to feel the solid earth under my feet.Miss Sullivan stayed with Helen for many year. She taught Helen how to read, how to write and how to speak. She helped her to get ready for school and college. More than anything, Helen wanted to do what others did, and do it just as well. In time Helen did go to college and completed her studies with high honors. But it was a hard struggle. Few of the books she needed were written in the Braille language that the blind could read by touching pages. Miss Sullivan and others had to teach her what was in these books by forming words in her hands. The study of geometry and physics was especially difficult. Helen could only learn about squares, triangles and other geometrical forms by making them with wires. She kept feeling the different shapes of these wires until she could see them in her mind.During her second year college Miss Keller wrote the story of her life and what a college meant to her. This is what she wrote. My first day at Radcliffe college was of great interest. Some powerful force inside me made me test my mind. I wanted to learn if it was as good as that of others. I learned many things at college. One thing I slowly learned was that knowledge does not just mean power, as some people say. Knowledge leads to happiness because to have it is to know what is true and real. To know what great man of the past had thought, said, and done is to feel the heartbeat of humanity down through the ages. All of Helen Keller's knowledge reached her mind through her sense of touch and smell, and of course her feelings. To know a flower was to touch it, feel it and smell it. This sense of touch became greatly developed as she got older. She once said that hands speak almost as loudly as words. She said the touch of some hands frightened her. The people seemed so empty of joy that when she touched their cold fingers it is as if she were shaking bands with a storm. She found the hands of others full of sunshine and warmth. Strangely enough Helen Keller learned to love things she could not hear, music for example. She did this through her sense of touch. When waves of air beat against her, she felt them. Sometimes she put her hand to a singer's throat. She often stood for hours with her hands on a piano while it was played. Once she listened to an organ. Its powerful songs made her moved her body in rhythm with the music. She also liked to go to museums. She thought she understood sculptures as well as others. Her fingers told her the true size and the feel of the material. What did Helen Keller think of herself, what did she think about the tragic lost of her sight and hearing. This is what shewrote as a young girl.Sometimes a sense of loneliness covers me like a cold mist. I sit alone, and wait at life ' s shut-door. Beyond there is light and music and sweet friendship. But I may not enter. Silence sits heavy upon my soul. Then comes hope with a sweet smile and said softly " There is joy in forgetting oneself And so I tried to make the light in others' eyes my sun, the music in others' ears my symphony, the smile on others' lips my happiness.Helen Keller was tall and strong. When she spoke, her face looked very alive. It helped to give meaning to her words. She often felt the faces of close friends when she was talking to them to discover their feelings. She and Miss Sullivan both were known for their sense of humor. They enjoyed jokes and laughing at funny things that happened to themselves or others. Helen Keller had to work hard to support herself after she finished college. She spoke to many groups around the country. She wrote several books and she made one movie based on her life. Her main goal was to increase public interest in the difficulties of people with physical problems. The work Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan did has been written and talked about for many years. Their success showed how people can conquer great difficulties. Anne Sullivan died in 1936, blind herself. Before Miss Sullivan died, Helen wrote and said many kind things about her.It was the genius of my teacher, her sympathy, her love which made my first years of education so beautiful. My teacher is so near to me that I do not think of myself as a part from her. All the best of me belongs to her. Everything I am today was awakened by her loving touch .Helen Keller died on June 1st, 1968. She was 87 year old. Her message of courage and hope remains.。

介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文(通用12篇)介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文篇1Helen Keller lived in the USA. She was a great woman.Helen was blind and deaf. She couldn’t see anything or hear anything. Her parents are very sad.A teacher helped Helen study words. Helen studied them very hard when she grew up. She went to college. In Helen Keller’s life, she wrote fourteen books and her first book is “My Life”. The book “If you give me three days light” is very famous. She has some words: Be of good cheer. Do not think of today’s failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourself a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find joy in overcoming obstacles.Though she was blind and deaf, she found a way to see and hear.介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文篇2A person who is deaf when he is born, is usually dumb as well. there seems to be nothing wrong with his mouth and tongue, but he cannot speak. this is because, as he is deaf, he cannot hear other people, and therefore has nothing to imitate. he may try to make sounds himself, but he cannot hear his own voice. however, even though he finds it difficult to speak and cannot hear, he can see. he can therefore learn to read. nowadays he can also be taught to speak because we have modern methods and equipment, but we did not have these when helen keller was born.Helen keller was born in a small alabama town in 1880. whenshe was nineteen months old, she fell ill and had a fever. she became blind and deaf. she could not municate with anyone, and no one could municate with her. she grew frustrated and angry. she threw things and broke things. Then in 1887, a teacher, annie sullivan arrived at the home of the kellers to be helen"s tutor. though miss sullivan herself had been blind, she had been partly cured, and although she could not see very well, she was not blind. she remained as helen"s tutor and friend for fifty years.Miss sullivan began to work with helen. she taught her to make different movements with her fingers. the movements represented the letters of the alphabet. helen learned to make the movements, but she did not understand their meaning. she did not know that the letters were related to something in the world. but, one morning miss sullivan took helen to a water pond, and she put helen"s hand under the water. at the same time she spelled the letters w-a-t-e-r on helen"s other hand. at that moment, helen understood. later in her life, she said, "somehow the mystery of language was revealed to me. i knew then that w-a-t-e-r was the wonderful cool something flowing over my hand."Helen was smart and learned quickly. soon she knew many words. when she was eight years old, she went to a school for the blind in boston, and she learned to read books written for blind people. she even went to college and had a full education. She wrote many books, too. although other people had written books about her, people agreed that her own books are the ones that best explain how it feels to be deaf, dumb and blind. her best book is the story of my life. perhaps you have read it. though it was written in 1902, it still is a very exciting book. even if you have not read it, you may have heard of helen keller.介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文篇3The classmates, you know the blind deaf-mute female writer, Helen? Keller told me such a truth.介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文篇4I have read the story of Helen Kellers a book. Written in the book the heroine Helen Keller was born less than two years, have lost sight and hearing, live in complete darkness and silence, but on this dark and lonely world, she dared to struggle with the fate of an unyielding, tenacious perseverance to learn knowledge. After hard work, became a famous writer and educator. And dedicated his life to the blind man welfare and education career, get the praise and respect for people all over the world.Especially in the book that I admire is Helen Keller her strong will and an indomitable spirit. From the story of Helen, I got it only by working hard and enterprising, pay you will reap. When I was studying in the past, meet with difficulties, to retreat, be deterred by difficult. Read the story of Helen was feeling shake, henceforth in learning, the life, no matter what difficulties I will go to great lengths to solve, to meet difficulties, conquer the difficulties. As a blind and deaf Helen has done a lot of what was done, she sets a good example to us, is that we found himself forward direction.介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文篇5American writer Mark Twain said: " There are two 19th-centuries original, one Napoleon, the other is Helen Keller. As for me, many people mention her, but I never have the chance to know her. In my memory, she is a woman who can seek light in the dark and bring it to the world. She makes someone who loses hope believe they can change their own lives by themselves.Last month, I read a book called If light give me three days, it described how the heroine—Helen Keller come out of the darkness and loneliness, even if she lost her sight and listening. With the help of Miss Sullivan and her own astonishing stamina, she graduated from in Harvard University in excellent results and became the first disable person who got the Bachelor of Arts degree in the history.Helen Keller had only 19 months of light and sound in the book. I couldn’t help to feel depressed when I read that hersight and listening was deprived by a fever. I was so frightened that she couldn’t go through the sadness and panic forever. However, when she could do some easy movements by her thinking, I was full of hope to her future. When she could speak and was accepted by Harvard University and at last finished school under the help of Miss Sullivan, I also feel proud of her. In the passage, which touched me most was the story of learning to speak in the childhood. As can be imagined, it was an impossible thing to spea k for her because she couldn’t see others’ embouchure or listen to others’ pronunciation. However, she practiced again and again by her endless persistent and the patient guidance of her teacher. It was a wonder that finally she succeeds and could speak br oken sentences “The weather is good”.After reading this book, I think she is a Tough—minded optimist. When faced with the difficulties, she can still maintain. Compared with her, I think I am a so fortune girl. I have a healthy body, good learning environ ment, friendly teachers, but I don’t cherish. Only when faced a small problem, I will stop at once. Thinking back, I am wrong, far to right .From now on, I will take her for a model, study harder and never quit.介绍海伦凯勒的英语作文篇6Generally one of the so-called "smart", refers to alert lady, also is the ears hear, eyes can see. In the process of the continuous see-saw, two people's heart, was in the communication, the Helen Keller slowly to independence.Helen Keller at the expense of the individual, in order to improve the society, improve the welfare of the disabled, his life. In this time, she has completed 14 books. One of the most famous are: "If you give me three days bright" "My life story" "stone wall story". She was committed to the benefit of the disabled, the establishment of many charities, in 1964 won the "President of the Medal of Freedom", the following year selected the United States, "Time" named "Twentieth Century American ten hero idol" one.海伦·凯勒人物贡献Helen Keller is committed to socialism, from her special experience as a disability, and her sympathy for other disabled people. At first, she simplified the alphabet to make it suitable for people with disabilities; but she soon realized that a simple solution to the problem of blindness was a temporary solution. Through the study she found that blind people are not randomly distributed in a variety of people, but concentrated in the bottom of society. The poor are more likely to be blind due to production accidents or lack of adequate treatment. Some poor people become prostitutes, the addition of a syphilis caused by the risk of blindness. Thus, Keller recognized that the social class system controls the fate of a person's life, and sometimes even decidewhether they will be blind. Keller 's study is not a zaiban: "I visited the candy shop, factory, shantytown, and even if I could not see it, I heard it.Helen Keller as a socialist, started in 1909. In 1909, she joined the Massachusetts Social Party. As early as before graduating from Radcliffe College, she was a social activist. She himself stressed that this was not due to any education received there. After the outbreak of the Russian revolution, she praised the new communist country, "In the East, a rising star! In the painful struggle, the new order was born from the old order." In the east, The baby was born! Comrades, Qi forward! Run to the campfire in Russia! Welcome to the dawn! "Keller hung a red flag at the top of her desk. Probably, since I had seen him, my brain was shrinking. "She went on to say:" Oh, "the Brooklyn Eagle" is toofunny, it is deaf and blind on social issues, it maintains a difficult We are trying to prevent blindness, and this system is the root cause of most blind deafness.Keller's second generation is largely committed to raising funds for the American Blind Foundation, and she believes that our society needs a radical change that has never been shaken. She supported the socialist presidential campaign of Eugene V Debbs. She also published articles on women's movement, politics and economy.
