2.With the development of the Internet and the popularization of

computers, online shopping has became a commonplace in our daily life. Here consumers can buy almost everything they need.

Just like other things, online shopping also has advantages and disadvantages.

Shopping on the Internet has a lot of advantages, of which the most important is perhaps its convenience.

People don't have to waste a lot of their energy and time to go from one shop to another to buy the commodities they like. This is especially desirable to the old, the sick and the busy people who cannot go to the shops in person. And online stores are usually available 24 hours a day whether cold or rain, we can buy all the time. All we need to do is to sit in front of our computers and click the mice.

Selection

Online shopping has more choices for consumers. The online stores provide you with all kinds of stuff for purchase. Whereas an real store may only provide a few options. What’s more, you will be able to find and buy products all over the world not just in your local area. For example the online store offers more choices of color and design.

Price

The third advantage of online shopping is that commodities are often cheaper. This is because online shopping stores simplify the sales of intermediate links, save rent, labor costs and all of the other running costs of a real store.What’s more, with the online tools, consumers can compare commodities prices easily. It will help them to buy cost-effective commodities.

However, there are still some disadvantages in online shopping. Inaccuracy

The first disadvantage is that the consumers might not get the exact commodities they have seen in the online store. Because they can only know the commodities from the photograph and description provided by the seller instead of seeing or trying them on personally. And sometimes the information provided might not be enough or reliable. For a simple example, a consumer who wants to buy a pair of shoes might end up getting a pair with desired style but unfit sizes.

Security

Besides, online shopping includes security risks.

Lacking of face to face deal makes online shopping less reliable. What’s more, the privacy and security issues are outstanding. A study has found that privacy and security were the top two concerns of

customers. Many people worry about that their accounts are stolen or privacy is compromised. In fact, these things often happen. Besides, Some stores on the Internet are not registered. They will never deliver anything to you after they get the money from you. Once cheated, you will find that you have nowhere to go to complain.

Guarantee

The final disadvantage of online shopping is that it is much harder and takes longer to return faulty commodities. The consumers will have to pay for shipping the commodities back to the online retailer. This can be expensive if the weight and size of the commodity is big. And this can also really take weeks to exchange a faulty commodity purchased online.Besides, some commodities cannot be returned unless they have any quality problem.

Suggestions

Firstly, we should purchase commodities on the website that already know and trust.

Then,we should communicate more with the seller to get a better learning of the commodities and keep the records to protect our rights

Finally, we should pay by a credit card instead of a debit card to reduce the risk of property damage
