一、Two Little Monkeys 两只猴子

The monkey mother has two little monkeys. She likes the younger, not the other.

猴妈妈生了两个猴子。她喜欢小猴子而不喜欢大猴子。

One day, they were playing in a forest when a wolf came running at them. The monkey ran away with the younger monkey in a hurry and left the older alone. She climbed up a tree and held the younger in her arms.

一天，他们正在森林里玩的时候，一只狼来了并向他们扑去。猴子匆忙带着小猴子跑了，单独留下打猴子。她跑着小猴子爬到树上。

After some time, the wolf went away slowly. The monkey took the baby out of her arms. She was surprised to see that the baby had died, for the baby was held in arms too highly. Very long time later, she remembered to look for the older baby. The older baby was hiding in a wood. So he saved himself.

过些时候，狼慢慢地离开了。母猴从他的怀里放下小猴子。她吃惊的发现猴宝宝已经死了，因为小猴子在她的怀里被搂地太紧了。过了很长时间，她才想起去寻找那只大猴子。大猴子藏在一个大洞里，他救了自己。

二、山洞里的小熊

Little bear lived in a mountain cave. Grandfather bear said to Little Bear: “Go and build a wooden house to live in!”

In spring, little bear went into the forest. The trees were full of green leaves, and he couldn’t bear to cut them down.

In summer, little bear again went into the forest. The trees were full of fresh flowers, and he couldn’t bear to cut them down.

In autumn, little bear went into the forest. The trees were full of hanging fruit, and he couldn’t bear to cut them down.

In winter, little bear went into the forest. Many little birds were living in the trees, and he couldn’t bear to cut them down.

Years passed, and little bear still hadn’t made a home out of the trees. He was still living happily in his mountain cave.

The little forest animals thanked Little Bear very much, and they gave him a bunch of beautiful fresh flowers.

小熊一家住在山洞里。熊爷爷对小熊说,“你去造间木头房子住吧!”

春天，小熊走进树林。树上长满了绿叶，他舍不得砍。

夏天，小熊又走进了树林。树上开满了鲜花，小熊舍不得砍。

秋天，小熊走进树林，树上挂满了果实。小熊舍不得砍。

冬天，小熊走进了树林。树上站着许多小鸟，小熊舍不得砍。

一年又一年，小熊没有砍树造房子，还是高高兴兴地住在山洞里……

树林里的小动物非常感谢小熊，他们送给小熊一束束美丽的鲜花。

三、Jack's Hat 杰克的帽子

Jack is a little goose. He has a lovely hat. He likes wearing it very much. But when he sits, his hat can’t stay on his head.

杰克是一只小鹅。它有一顶可爱的帽子，他非常喜欢戴它。当它坐着时，他的帽子总是戴着头上。

He puts his hat down and begins to play game with the hat. When he gets tired of the game, things are not the same.

He can’t find his hat. Where is it? Jack thinks hard. He looks up and down, and walks here and there. He can’t find his hat yet.

三、It's Unfair 这不公平

Linda was a good girl, but she was often late for school. 琳达是一个好女孩，但她经常迟到。One day, she was late again. When she came in, Mr. Clark, her teacher said angr ily, “I’ll tell you father if you are late again.” Linda didn’t want him to do that.
