The influence of Chinese-western Cultural Differences in Business NegotiationABSTRACTIt has been more than 30 years since the policy of reforming and opening was carried out. The international business activities got more and more showing. The results of whether the negotiation achieved or not impacted the foreign trade directly, but the results always depended upon many factors: economic basis, political background, enterprise capacity, providing and competing of the markets. But there was a very important factor behind those factors. It was culture factors. With the economic globalization and the frequent business contacts, cultural differences seem to be very important; otherwise they could cause unnecessary misunderstanding, even affect the result of the businessnegotiations. If you want to succeed in negotiation, you must dig the culture differences. The purpose of writing was to stress the splendid culture factors which are neglected in the past. By excavating the unity and diversity of culture factors, we advanced step by step to evident the great impact of culture factors for international business negotiation. The point innovation was to give specific impact from the specific difference, other paper was not. The ultimate goal of this thesis was to provide the theoretical evidences for those negotiations who pay more attention to the culture factors when they began to negotiate.Key Words:business negotiation, cultural difference, the influence The influence of Chinese-western Cultural Differencesin Business NegotiationCulture is an abstract concept, it refer to all aspects of human life, including belief, art, knowledge, morals, convention, etc. Culture consist of two factors-material culture and mental culture. Science culture and humanism culture form themental culture. And the humanism culture always refer to ethnic culture. The living environment effect human’s behavior unconsc iously from one’s birth even not yet born. The first function of culture is to make man a human being, It is culture that regulates his conduct and prepares him for group life. It teaches him the art of living as per the cultural traits of the group. He takes the food, wears the clothes, goes to school, speaks the language and does so many other little things of day-to-day life which are a part of the conventional norms, mores, laws, customs and morals of the group. The culture of a group plays a major part in the heightening human qualities of its individuals and save them from avoiding participation in the cultural stream. The second important role of culture is to keep social relationship intact so that the group as a whole can maintain and develop the values and ideals of the group through the regulation of behaviors of its members and by satisfying their primary needs and objectives in respect of the necessities and luxuries of life . People learn to behave socially in a group because their behavior is subject to approval or disapproval. Here are some specific effects below, including the political system, thinking mode, different values and belief, language styles, the translation and interpretation. The effect of political environmentThe relationship between the two parties’ counties is the determined factor that whether the negotiating environment is loosed. If the relationship is friendly, the probability of successful negotiation will be bigger, otherwise it’ll be small. The effects of political environment mainly reflect in the ideology and political system. China is a socialist country. Western countries are capitalist states mostly. For the reason of incompatibility of Chinese-western political system, adversarial and discriminatory terms may be written in the contract, which cause a bad cooperation or even a failure in cooperation. The effect of thinking modePeople’s thinking play an important role throughout the business negotiations. The features of Chinese-western thinking differences are obvious: Chinese culture prefer Comprehensive thinking, and emphasize unified and deductive inference; Western culture prefer analytical thinking, emphasize opposite and inductive inference. To a question, Chinese and westerners put forward to different solution.Chinese negotiators focus on working out rules, and then talk about the details. Once the principles have been confirmed, they will keep it and never compromise. However, they are flexible when handling some details. Chinese usually may compromise or promise, finally sign a contract. Western negotiators, especially the Americans, won’t be limited by the frame of rules. They emphasize the whole, not the individuals. They like to start with specific things.Chinese mind the responsibility of the group, authority of individual, that is to say “centralization”; Western mind the power of the group, the responsibility of individuals, that is to say “separat ion of powers”. The number of Chinese members is a lot, but the decision maker is only one. While western negotiators enforce codetermination. In the view of Chinese point, self-respect is more important than negotiation result. Western negotiators notice result which is more relevant to individuals’ profit. Thus, they will try their best to pursue, if they can obtain benefit. Achievement is the way to judge one’s status. The effect of language styleLanguage style:Chinese style seems to be formal that they always usebusiness expressions in the negotiation and be fixed within the framework of preparation beforehand; Western style is humorous that they use daily expressions and are flexible according to the changing situations. On the part of intonation, westerners use passive voice frequently, but they are logical inside; Chinese are habituated to use terms and long sentences.Language strategies:Business negotiation is just like playing chess, you will frequently change your psychology, standpoints and negotiation strategies including language strategies according to the changed and changing situations. The following will be useful when you enter the negotiating room:1. Aggressing as well as defending, try to find your counterpart’s weakness (in expressions, in inside logics) and use your own strength to get the upper hand;2. Change your standpoints and language strategies according to the changing situations;3. be sensitive to the taboos in your counterpart’s culture;4. Your language must serve your purpose, serve to realize your interests; to aggress as well as defend, to arrive atwin-win end.5. Your language must be professional and logical (to resolve the problems) and sometimes humorous (to relax the tense atmosphere or break the stalemate). The effect of Translation and InterpretationThe ability to make oneself understood is essential if any agreement is to be reached. International negotiations often require the use of translators or interpreters to attain this goal. The optimal translator or interpreters will understand both the linguistic and cultural nuances so necessary to communication. Translators or interpreters must also be adept at comprehending the intricacies of everything from body language to seating arrangements. Rarely will a solo negotiator or team have sufficient language skills to operate anywhere in the world. The quality of the translators or interpreters involved will greatly influence the negotiation's outcome. And generally speaking, the translators or interpreters in international business negotiations should:1. Have a large vocabulary of English,2. Be familiar with the business terms in source and target language,3. Understand the lexical, syntactic characteristics ofbusiness English, especially oral English in international business,4. Know about relevant business knowledge,5. Be sensitive to cross-cultural communication,6. Have good interpersonal skills,7. Specialize in using dictionaries, encyclopedia and relevant reference books. The Effect of Different BeliefAs different ideologies developed and combated each other, the basic framework of Chinese civilization was established. And then Confucianism became the foundation stone of Chinese philosophy system. Confucianism's central doctrine is that of the virtue of Ren. What is Ren? Ren is translated variously as goodness, benevolence, humanity and human-heartedness. In short, Ren means affection and love. For more than 2 thousand years it has molded and shaped the civilization of China and exerted a profound influence upon almost one fourth of human race. Just as DR. Sun-Yat-Sen said:” Therefore the old morals of loyalty and piety, affection, and love, faithfulness and righteousness, are superior to those of the foreign countries Let alone that peace and harmony. These high standards of morals are ournational spirit. "Different from China, Christianity plays an important role in western. The English speaking countries are generally considered as Christian countries where many people believe in Christianity. Christianity is the region based on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. He is the founder of Christianity. According to the doctrine of Christianity, the Trinity is the union of the three forms of God, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ the son of the God, and the holy book of Christianity is the Bible, which consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament. However, the power of the church cannot compare with the past time, it still influence many aspects of people 's daily life. For example, there are a few important festivals in the western is concern with Jesus Christ. Christmas day is a festival in celebration of the birth of the Jesus Christ on Dec.25.Virgin Birth refers to the birth of Christ, which Christians believe to have been caused by God rather than by ordinary sexual union. The effect of different valuesThe concept of Chinese values is often consciously or unconsciously placed in opposition with Western values. Therefore, it is necessary to determine how people defineWestern values. Some have stated that the modern Western value system originated in Victorian England, and describe it as social norms and behaviors common in European people during that time. The core of Western values is individualism. The core of the Chinese value has some relationship with the Confucianism. The ethnic principle of Confucianism is its discovery of the ultimate in the moral character of human relationships in which Confucius offered the solution for the ills and evils of his days. That is the well-known Five Relationships: ruler-minister, father-son, husband-wife, elder-younger brother andfriend-friend. This was explained as “There should be affection between father and son , righteous sense of duty between ruler and minister, division of function between man and wife, stratification between old and young, and good faith between friends.” During the more than two thousand years of the feudal period, the ruling class arrange every thing by this relationships, and then formed a class society. In this kind of society, a minister owes loyalty to his ruler, and a child filial respect to his parent. The result is the humanity is neglected and people have no equality. Different from China, in the Renaissance period of England, people beganto emphasize the dignity of human beings and the importance of the present life, they voiced their beliefs that man did not only have the right to enjoy the beauty of their life, but also have the ability to perfect themselves and perform wonders. This is the rudiment of Humanism. People became to respect the humanity from then on. And then develop into the ideas of what we always said freedom, democracy. Today, take Americans for instance; the top personal values were self-reliance, hard work, and a tie between achieving success in life, personal achievement, and helping others. Hard work, respect for learning, honesty, and self-reliance were most valued among Chinese people. In terms of social values, the top six for Americans were freedom of expression, personal freedom, rights of the individual, open debate; thinking for oneself, and official accountability. The top six social values for Asian people were maintenance of an orderly society, harmony, accountability of public officials, openness to new ideas, freedom of expression, and respect for authority. This study finds that unlike Americans, East Asians are generally more respectful of authority and prize an orderly society, however in concurrence with the West, Asians honor new ideas, officialaccountability, and free expression.Subject to the different values, Chinese negotiators think that the process of negotiation is the process of establishing interpersonal relation. The purpose of negotiating is to build a long-term business cooperative relation. Entering into a contract is the start of mutual beneficial cooperation. But western negotiators advocate independent thinking and judgment. They emphasize the redistribution of profit. It’s persuasive to show one’ view directly while Chinese present their ideas more implicit in case of hurting other s’self-respect. The westerners maintain egalitarian value. They stand fair competition, reasonable and open principles, and strive to distribute interest equally. Westerners usually adopt quotation database in introducing specific terms. In the relationship between the buyers and sellers, they usually regard parties as equal, and be fair in the division of profit.Different culture has different timing. American seek interest an speed, which form American’s modern commercial style in a sweeping manner. But Chinese timing is circuitous, they take a long view of the feasibility of issues, they may be thoughtful to the integrity of issues in a long run. So different negotiating styles cause different result, onlyknow yourself as well as the enemy, you can use the differences of values to occupy initiative position in negotiation.SummaryIt’s direct and wide that culture effect on negotiation. With people knowing the culture factors deeply, they found the impact of culture factors for business negotiation beyond the impact of other factors. If you wanted to succeed in negotiation, you must dig the culture differences, cross it, admire it, bridge it. In the field of culture, Marxism in China was a right choice by Chinese under the circumstance of collision of Chinese-western culture for hundreds years. When we confronted the combination of world civilization and many cultures, we should step to know Marxism in China. In this way, we can merge the Chinese-western culture differences, so the culture can serve the economy, serve the trade an serve the international business negotiation. The international business negotiation was a kind of cultural collision and accommodation. In the trend of globalization, all the foreign enterprises should combine the cultural sensitive with the negotiation skill then they can achieve their objectives of negotiation victory. This article introduce the effect of culture difference on business negotiation from two points: the specific culture difference impacting the specific negotiation steps and international business negotiation making a conversion from the redistribution of economic benefit to the joint enjoyment of spirit culture. The topic of this article is not the survey of negotiating skills or negotiating strategies, but the exploration of cultural differences which effect on negotiation. With international trade activities increasing, only if you are able to be familiar with the culture differences deeply, admire others’ culture and put yourself on others’ shoes can you facilitate a successful negotiation.Reference:[1] 王滕宁.Impact of the culture difference between China and the West on business negotiation. 山东机械,2004年[2]曹菱.《商务英语谈判》,外语教学与研究出版社,2004[3] 赵伟君.中西文化冲突与我国跨文化商务谈判对策.商业研究,2002[4]尹小莹. 外贸英语函电。

Depending on the situation, it may be necessary to use different languages to effectively communicate with different people. For example, if I am communicating with a client who speaks Mandarin Chinese, I will need to use that languagein order to ensure clear communication. On the other hand, if I am communicating with a colleague from the United States, I will use English. It is also important to consider cultural differences when communicating in different languages. For example, in Chinese culture, it is common to use honorifics and show respect to older or more senior individuals. In American culture, however, it is more common to use first names andbe more informal.Overall, effective business communication requires a deep understanding of language and culture. Major competitors in the market include Sina, Sohu, Qiyi (a Baidu affiliate), Ku6 (owned by Shanda Interactive), Xunlei, etc. As of 2Q11, Tudou Youku accounted for 27%% of total advertising revenue within the online video market, taking second place, according to Analysys International estimates. We summarize the market in terms of revenue share below. We disaggregate revenues into Average Revenue Per Advertiser (ARPA) and number of advertisers as shown below. In 1H11, took the largest mobile video market share of 15.9% followed by with a 14.1% market share. Tudou and Youku accounted for 10.2% and 5.8% of the market, respectively.Risks and my opinionWe have to face regulatory and copyright infringement risks and Inability to renew cooperationagreements with telecom operators, inability to maintain market competitive advantage. Except for the products ,the service in our new merged company should make a change we must use more works ,pa y all efforts to make our service well .To make our company’s service well we should first build our company’s c orporate culture. In a word, the forming process of corporate culture leads to the heterogeneity of corporate culture as the differentiation in management environment, industry, managers, corporate history, strategy, business objectives and so on makes the corporate culture different to each other. The success of our businessThe success of our business depends on our ability to maintain and enhance our brand. If we fail to continue to anticipate user preferences and provide products and services to attract and retain users, we may not be able to generate sufficient user traffic to remain competitive. We operate in a rapidly evolving industry. If we fail to keep up with the technological developments and users’ changing requirements, our business, results of operations and prospects may be materially and adversely affected. Our quarterly revenues and operating results may fluctuate, which makes our results of operations difficult to predict and may cause our quarterly results of operations to fall short of expectations. We may not be able to manage our expansion effectively. Disruption or failure of our systems could impair our users’ online video experience and adversely affect our reputation. Undetected programming errors could adversely affect our user experience and market acceptance of our video programs, which may materially and adversely affect our business and results of operations.Best wishes to Youku Tudou Inc.Sincerely,Mo xianteng。

The Opening of Business SpeechName: Liu Binxia1.IntroductionBusiness speech contains all kinds of business meetings, telephones, customer-service calls, oral marketing and job interviews. In the increasingly competitive environment in today's society, business speech become more and more important. And business people with the talents shall be an active character in modern society. Without the talents, business people would like a gramophone keep circling but making no sound.A wonderful business speech is always regard as a complete organic whole. So start with an introduction for a business speech is necessary. An introduction functions like a prelude for a formal presentation, which strikes the first impression on the audience and arouses their interest. For that reason, it is important to have a good start (as the old saying:“A good beginning is half done.”) [1]. T hat’s why many business speeches made by successful business people attract audience at the beginning. They have the opening of speech well-prepared.2.Preparation for an opening of business speechBusiness speech itself with a utilitarian purpose determines the audiences’ non-cooperation. Therefore, the preparation for a speech are especially important when you want to seize audience's heart and attract their interests[2].2.1Audience analysisWhen you have decided your purpose for the speech, the next thing you should do is to make audience analysis. When we are asked to speak to some people we know too little about, we feel more nervous. Therfore, it is highly necessary for us to get some imformation about our audience before we speak. We should ask ourselves three questions when we do audience analysis. The first one is who are coming for the speech. Are they college students or enterprise employees? Are theyfrom the same background? Speaking to different groups is quite different. As to different backgrounds, you have to watch whether all audiences understand what you say. It is harder for speaker to handle compared with speaking to the same background. The second question is how many audiences will go to the speech. It’s rather different to speak to a group of nine or ten people from fifty people. Maybe you are not nervous when face several people, but what will you feel once you face hunderds people. For most people, the answer is nervous. So figure out the number of the audiences is the matter. Furthermore, you can practice at home in front of a mirror. What is the purpose the audience will come for the speech is the last question. Knowing the audiences’ purpose do great to your preparation. We can conjecture the audiences’likely response for the opening of the business speech which will avoid embarrassing situations. 2.2Tactics for a good openingOvercome the nervousness is a necessary ability for a good business speaker. And the best way to ease the nervousness is self-confidence. In order to be confident, you need to do a good preparation for the coming business speech, keep optimistic and encourage yourself at any time. Y ou can do some relaxing exercise and try deep-breathing before doing the speech. Don't forget to smile because smile is a very effevtive way of communication and has an empathic impact on the audience. Just as the old saying goes: smiling is contagious. The second tactic is dressing properly. The first impression of a person is his or her dressing. Different clothes you choose are mostly depend on the different audience and different business speech topics. The next tactic you should pay attention to are gestures and facial expressions. These two aspects are indispensable elements for sppech. Actually, different gestures and facial expressions express different messages and some of them seem to be know by all. The proper gestures and facial expressions often strengthen the effect of the speech. The last but not the least I want to mention here is voice qulity. When you give speech, what strikes audience, first of all, is your voice. We will not surprised to find that different voices do have diffferent effects on our way of speaking. Therefore, it is necessary to learn something about the function of our voice qulity, such as volume, rate and pitch.3.Three types of normal introductions3.1Introduction with storyTaking an story or event which is related to the speech topic as the beginning is useful. The story or event should has characters and plot. Therefore, it will be easy to arouse the attention of the audience. This type of introduction is more suitable for the fresh speaker because the language skills required is lower.3.2Introduction with humorIntroduction with humor is a type of opening speech begin with humor which can make the audience relaxed. The use of common saying, proverb or two-part allegorical saying in the humorous introduction deepen the sense of humor. But you need to avoid using vulgar jokes. The so-called "humorous" will not only damaged the value of the speech, but also depreciated by the audiences.3.3Introduction with chattingChatting something irrelevant to the speech topic is a good way to lead the audiences to the main point. The main purpose of the introduction with chatting is to build relations with the audiences and eliminate barriers as soon as possible. This type is often used by some celebrities or experienced businessman.4Taboos of opening remarkThere are several taboos when we do an introduction. First, the introduction of business speech should never be too long. A good introduction will made audiences feel special after listening 45 second to one minute. They may think "oh, this speech will be ingenuity" or "good, I'm sure I can hear something different ". Do remember the length of time is the point.Second, the vulgar introduction made people feel boring. Audiences would rather like to hear the main part. Finally, show off, make an apolpgy and accuse somebody at the introduction is undesirable in whatever speech which may arouse a strong dislike and even repugnance.5ConclusionBusiness speech is not just a technology, but also a kind of art. It’s not easy to gain thisability, but you can learn to handle it.According to preceding thesis, to do a good opening is so important to a successful business speech. We have to make adequate preparation, including audience analysis and rehearsal. Learn some tactics for an opening and remember several types of introduction in case of emergency. At last, do not forget the taboos of opening remark.Try your best to do the above points mentioned, you wil be a good business speaker.Bibliography[1]徐宪光. 商务沟通[M].北京:外语教学与研究出版社,2001,(12): 172[2] 后东升. 商务演讲及路演技巧[M].北京:中国纺织出版社,2005,(12): 2。

Here is an essay on the importance of business communication in English:The Art of Business Communication: A Key to SuccessIn the fast-paced world of commerce, the ability to communicate effectively is a skill that can make or break a business deal. The language of business is not just about speaking and listening; it encompasses a range of non-verbal cues, written correspondence, and digital interactions. Understanding the nuances of business communication can lead to better relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners.Verbal CommunicationVerbal communication is the cornerstone of business. It involves face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and video conferences. The clarity and confidence with which one communicates can have a significant impact on the perception of one's professionalism. For instance, using appropriate business jargon and maintaining a respectful tone can establish trust and credibility.Written CommunicationWritten communication, including emails, reports, and proposals, is a critical component of business. It requires a high level of precision and clarity to convey the intended message accurately. The use of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation is essential to avoid misunderstandings and to maintain a professional image.Non-Verbal CommunicationNon-verbal cues, such as body language and facial expressions, can often speak louder than words. They can convey confidence, sincerity, and interest, or they can signal disengagement and lack of interest. ChinaDear Director Feng,We have not seen each other for a long time. How about you, recently? What are you busy doing this period of time? Today I am writing to you to express something about our company, Huayi Brothers’ successful IPO in GEB and I want to invite you to be our company’s shareholder.T en years pasted quickly. Recalling the things of past time, I am suddenly aware of that we have cooperated for t hese many years. Our first successful cooperation should be your third New Year’s greeting movie--<< Sorry Baby >>. And before this movie, you had already achieved a great success in Chinese New Year’s greeting movie circle. Such years past by, you have al ready turned into today’s Nation well-known director. You have gone to success step by step. On this road, I know that you have made many efforts. From your Maiden work -- << Farewell My Love >>, in 1994, to today’s -- << If You Are the One >>, between the se two films’ screening time has experienced for more than ten years. In these years, you have directed many successful movies. For instance, << Dream Factory >>, in 1997; << Be There or Be Square >>, in 1998; << Big Shot’s Funeral >>, in 2001; << World wi thout Thieves>>, in 2004; << Assembly >>, in 2007, all of these films have a high praise and are liked by the most of theaudiences. Especially << If You Are the One >> and << Assembly >> have created the very high box offices,“are 325 million and 180 million” respectively. You created those myths one after another in the Chinese movie circle. And at the same time, you have created a huge wealth for our company. In the overseas, it has spread this kind of view: If you have not watched Feng X iaogang's movie, it was equal to that you didn’t understand the Chinese movie; If you also thought that the Chinese movie is strong -like the rigid theorizing, that is because you have not read Feng X iaogang's work. Thus it can be seen your position in the Chinese movie circle. As you know, our company, Huayi Brothers, was established as a advertisement company in 1994. At that time, China's advertisement enterprise has developed rapidly. So in the short four years, we have completed company's primitive accumulation. Until 1998, our company began to step in the film and television industry. After the film and television obtained succeed, our company started to operate performance Broker Company at the end of 2000. ChinaOct.1, 2009Dear shareholders,How is everything going on with you? T oday in here, I have some words to say to all of you. First, I must thank eve ryone to support our company and buy our company’s stock. T oday, I would tell everyone that your choice is correct. And I will prove to everyone that your choice is sensible. As we all know, our company is a Comprehensive entertainment group. The company was founded by our brothers in 1994. In the early stage, we were mainly developing in the advertising industry. Then, because of investing the film of Jiang Wen and Feng Xiaogang, we entered the film industry. Afterwards, we developed in the media, investment and movie, TV, entertainer broker, music, entertainment marketing industry, and other areas. In these areas, our company has achieved good results. Now our company mainly develops in these four areas: movie, TV, entertainer broker and music industry. In these areas, the movie is the most important way to get profit. In the past ten years, our company achieved a big success in the movie filed. Early, the movie named << Sorry Baby >> made in 1999, we had made 30 million box offices. Then, we relied on the movie named << Big Shot’s Funeral >> to go into the international market in 2001. Later, because of the movie named << Cell Phone >>, we created a precedent that inserting the advertisement in the movie. And it also made 55 million box offices. However, th e next year’s movie named << Mountain Patrol >> didn’t make a good result of box office. But it has won a lot of awards and enhanced our company’s image. Next, the movie named << World without Thieves >> opened the market in South-Eastern Asia with the help of Liu Ruoying and Liu Dehua. And at the same time, it creates 80 million box offices. In the next few years, the movie named << The Banquet >> in 2006, << Assembly >> in 2007 and << If You Are theOne >> in 2009 all made a big success of box office. The highest of them can reach 325 million. All above these were our company’s achievements in these years. Only from the box office, you can see our company’s develop in movie field was in a high speed. Our company stepped into the TV area three years ago. Until the end of 2008, our company had produced 19 TV dramas, for about 600 sets to 700 sets.It should be the biggest investment cost in the Native Corporation. Because of that most of audiences like to look at TV shows, TV’s development of potential is unlimited. Our company’s star recourses are unique relatively; we have signed about 100 artists. And most of the artists are young people, like Huang Xiaoming, Deng Chao, Lu Yi, Li Bingbing and so on. With the strength of our artists, we should be the biggest star broker company in the country. The next area is music. Even thought our company has many famous stars, we didn’t get much profit from it. So the music is not the focus of our development plan.Next, I want to show our company's capital issues of these years to you. On November 19, 2004, our company established as Zhejiang Huayi Brother Film and Culture Limited Company with a registered capital of5 million yuan. But when we developed to 2006, our registered capital increases to 50 million yuan. The paicl-up capital is 15 million yuan. Until the end of 2007, our company’s paicl-up capital increased to about 52 million yuan. On January 21, 2008, our company changed to Huayi Media. And at the same time, our company’s registered capital from 100 million yuan increased to 126 million yuan. From our company’s increasing capital in the past years, I believe you can see our company’s high speed development in the future. For the other companies, our company has many competitive advantages. they are have the following several sides: the advantage of the industrial chain, the advantage of operating system, the advantages of brand, the advantages of professional, and the advantage of partner. Because of our company join up the movie, the TV and the entertainer broker effectively. Moreover, our company learned from the foreign advanced theory, and combined with our actual situation. So we have the advantages of the industrial chain and operating system. On the other hand, our company’s brand is worth 1425 million y uan, and ranking the leading position in domestic mediacompanies. Our company has established a group of outstanding film and television entertainment management and creative talents including Feng Xiaogang Zhang Jizhong Li Bo and so on. And at the same time, we have our own famous super stars, like Huang Xiaoming, Li Bingbing, and Zhou Xun and so on. Besides, our company has a large number of long term strategic partners in these years. And these partners would be helpful to our company’s development in t he future.Even though our company has a good development in these years, we also have some problems and challenges. The most important problem among these is that lack of capital. Because of this, our company can not produce more movies and TV shows, and also limited our company’s development. But now you would not worry about it. Because we have already raised 620 million by going public on China’s Nasdaq-style Growth Enterprise Board on September 28, 2009. So we will produce 6 movies and 600 TV shows af ter the funds come in. However, this is just our company’s short-term plan.Even though our country developed very fast these many years, our film and television industry still has a large gap with the other developed countries. Our company opened the int ernational market is earlier than the others, and already get some achievements. But we are still at the stage of exploration and accumulated the experience. So our company’s long-term plan is to go into the world and develop the international market. However, without your support, our company can not achieve all of the goals. In here, I represent Huayi’s all shareholders thank you trust us. We would not let all of you feel disappointed. We will use our practical actions to prove that: your choice is absolutely correct.Sincerely yours,Directors of HuayiReferences[1] Leng Shumei,(2006) << Media Management Case Study >>.P.214—216[2] Chen X iaoyun,(2008) << Introduction of the cinema >>.
