1.We are gaining something, or losing something, every day. Even when our

position and our character seem to remain precisely the same, they are changing.

For the mere advance of time is a change. It is not the same thing to have a bare field in January and in July. The season makes the difference. The limitations that are childlike in the child are childish in the man.

2.To combat fear，the best strategy is to learn to bring your attention back to the

present．Mark Twain said，‘I have been through some terribl e things in my life，some of which actually happened．I don’t think I can say it any better．Practice keeping your attention on the here and now．Your efforts will pay great dividends.

3.On the flip side，we also postpone our gratification，our stated priorities，and our

happiness，often convincing ourselves that ‘someday’ will be better than

today．Unfortunately，the same mental dynamics that tell us to look toward the future will only repeat themselves so that "someday " never actually arrives．

9.T he past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before

us and dynamic. Everything we do will effect it. Each day will bring with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our businesses, if we will only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.

10.Industry keeps bright the key that opens the treasury of achievement. If Miller,

after toiling all day in a quarry, had devoted his evenings to rest and recreation, he would never have become a famous geologist. The celebrated mathematician, would never have published a mathematical dictionary, never have found the key to science of mathematics,
