英语文化艺术节过程------ 组织各种活动，创设英语语境，提高学生兴趣课堂教学是英语教学的主阵地，应该切实抓好。
但要学好英语，达到在日常生活中用英语进行交流的教学目的，仅靠课堂教学是远远不够的。
尤其是对刚接触英语的中学生来说，开展一些形式多样的、健康有趣的课外活动就显得十分必要，这也是由语言的学习规律所决定的。
英语课外活动作为课堂教学的辅助形式，就是在课外创设英语环境，给学生提供更多的语言实践机会，其主要目的就是通过大量的语言实践培养学生听、说、读、写的技能和熟练程度，进一步巩固和掌握在课堂上学到的知识；还有助于扩大学生的视野，拓宽学习渠道，培养学生学习英语的兴趣。
由于课堂教学受到教学大纲和教学内容的限制，英语基础知识的理解、掌握和语用能力的培养和提高需要通过课外活动来完成，这已是全体英语工作者达成的共识。
为了激发学生的学习兴趣，强化英语技能，根据初中时期学生的语言水平、年龄特点和兴趣爱好，积极开展各种课外活动有助于学生增长知识、开阔视野、发展智力和个性、展现才能。
本着从教学实践的实际出发，我校自2000年恢复办学以来，就如何开展英语课外活动作了一些有益的探索。
几年来组织的各种类型的英语活动，根据几年来的探索，取得了一定成效，并积累了一些经验。
教师有计划地组．织内容丰富、形式多样的英语课外活动，如英语俱乐部、朗诵、唱歌、讲故事、演讲、表演、英语墙报、主题班会和英语讲座等。
教师要善于诱导，保护学生的好奇心，培养他们的自主性和创新意识。
在学校的大力支持下，我们举办了学校第一届英语文化节。
期间，老师们认真组织、精心策划，学生们认真准备、积极参与，圆满地完成了各项任务，达到、甚至超过了预期的效果。
本次活动，再次唤起了学生学习英语的热情，从而使师生的配合默契，富有成果。
活动不仅增强了学生们学习英语的兴趣，也使学生们的英语口语水平得到了显著提高，同时也陶冶了学生们的情操，培养了学生们的审美观，另外还让学生们放松了学习中的紧张情绪，给他们带来了无穷的快乐。
学生们渐渐地掌握了英语口语的技巧，使他们愉快地发现英语的表达已成为一种习惯——一种令人惬意的习惯，这个发现是一把引导他们去打开一个令人兴奋的新世界的钥匙。
一、《英语手抄报》比赛《英语教学大纲》明确规定：中学英语教学中，要求学生具有熟练的书写能力和良好的书写习惯。
从初一新生开始加强书写能力的培训是最合适的，而且要对学生严格要求，一抓到底，以便养成良好的书写习惯。
为了提高学生的书法兴趣，本次英语文化节举办了《英语手抄报比赛》。
在教师的指导下，由学生自己设计版面、栏目，绘制图案，板报的稿件一方面选取一些短小精悍、生词量少，而又有趣的短文、谜语、格言等，或介绍一些典型的英语试题和练习题，让学生考考自己，以拓宽学生的知识面。
另一方面，学生可以刊登自己编写的对话、写的日记、习作等。
栏目包括《故事天地》、《文化漫步》、《趣闻逸事》、《考试指南》、《心灵驿站》、《作品秀》、《习作园地》、《比比看》等。
最后，以班级为单位按要求张贴在指定的地方，供全体师生欣赏、评说，以丰富学习内容和活跃学习气氛。
二、演讲、朗诵比赛英语演讲、朗诵比赛是结合英语课程标准的精神，旨在检测并提高学生综合运用英语的能力，尤其是英语的思维和表达能力，提高学生学习英语的兴趣，培养他们学习英语的自信心和优良的心理素质。
几年来我校举办了几届演讲、朗诵比赛。
每次举办演讲、朗诵比赛，学生都是积极踊跃的参加，本次英语文化节当然也不能少了这项比赛。
听说有的同学为了比赛做了大量的准备工作，反复录音多达50遍、甚至60 遍，直到自己满意为止，这种认真的精神令人感动。
比赛中参赛选手们个个激情飞扬，自然大方，尽情在讲台上展现自己的风采，地道流利的语音语调赢得了阵阵掌声，他们将优美流利的语言展现在观众面前，同时，他们热情洋溢的表演感染了在场观众。
其实，对于学生们来说，结果并不是最重要的，关键在于整个参与的过程。
赛场上选手们共竞技能，是竞争对手；赛场外大家互相切磋经验，共同进步，是伙伴。
就像活动宗旨明确表述的那样，“重在参与、展示自我、提高英语口语水平。
”比赛不仅展现出了我校学生良好的英语水平，发掘了一大批具有英语表达潜能的学生，而且活动极大地丰富了同学们的课余生活，为同学们提供了英语学习、展示自我的平台，提高了学生们口语交际能力，再次掀起全校同学爱学英语、爱说英语、感受英语魅力的热潮。
赛后很多同学看到自己与高水平选手的差距后，开始对自己的语音和口语练习做了反思，并寻求解决的办法，争取尽快提高。
有的同学趁热打铁，制定了详细的行动计划。
学习英语需要我们有一颗热忱的心和高昂的情绪，看到选手们在比赛中用英语那绘声绘色的讲故事，惟妙惟肖肢体语言，不难看出，学生们对学习英语抱着积极的态度。
如果换一个角度说，我们能在一个快乐的氛围中学习英语，尽情欣赏英语的魅力，何乐而不为？是的，不要认为英语是枯燥的，英语是奇妙无穷的。

三、英语歌曲欣赏和比赛为了进一步提高学生唱英语歌曲的兴趣，学校于2006年、2007年举办了两届英语卡啦OK歌曲比赛。
小学学生活泼可爱，喜欢开口演唱。
根据这一特点，组织学生定不仅学唱教材中的采取集体合唱或单人独唱的形式。
期唱英语歌曲，歌曲，而且还学唱磁带或录像带中的优秀英文歌曲。
歌曲的学唱不仅有利于语言的训练，掌握英语发音的节奏，还有助于记忆单词以及了解与歌曲相关的背景知识。
由于歌曲很容易引起学生的兴趣，因而他们积极参与，乐于接受，而且歌曲中优美的旋律也陶冶了学生的情操，培养了他们的美感。
同时，也放松了学习中的紧张情绪，给学生带来了无穷的快乐。
在英语学习的过程中，学习者除了需要做大量的阅读，还需要进行听力和口语方面的训练，而学唱英文歌曲正是为所有的学习者提供了一个鲜活的语言环境，让大家有机会聆听原汁原味的英文，学到最地道、最富有时代气息的口语。
有学生看了英语电影《音乐之声》，就深深地爱上了电影里面的善良可爱的修女玛丽亚、天真活泼而又多才多艺的孩子。
因为太喜欢这部电影，便反复学唱电影中的歌曲《Edelweiss》和《Do Re Mi》，直到融入其中。
英文歌曲为所有学习者开启了一扇窗，使大家可以通过它去了解英美国家人的生活方式、思维模式、价值观、风俗习惯等，从而真正爱上英语，真正沉浸到纯正的英语氛围当中。
唱英文歌可以帮助练习发音，语调和节奏，又可以让学习者在很愉快的心情下背会很多单词和句型，真是一举数得。
语言是一门交际的工具，必须在语言环境中进行大量的实践从而达到“熟能生巧”，有限的课堂教学时间远远不够，课堂也不可能是教学的唯一场所。
为了给学生的语言实践活动提供更多的时间与更大的空间，为学生创造更多听、说、读、写的机会，我校教师不仅努力做到课堂教学“活动化”，充分调动和发挥学生的主体作用，而且还开展了多种形式的英语课外活动，极大地调动了学生英语学习的兴趣。
经过实践，可以说，丰富的活动促进了教学质量的提高，没有活动，教学思想、理念和方法很容易落空。

英语文化艺术节总结小学英语风采艺术节大赛，内容丰富，即展示了学生的风采，也有德育教育的部分!我们总结了这次展示会被大家认可的主要特色，有四条：一是节目类型丰富多样，寓教于乐，艺术感染力强，不枯燥，有味道；二是英语特质展示充分，精彩的英语表演展示了小学生较强的英语能力；三是锻炼了当代小学生的自我表现能力；四是在表演中有德育教育的元素。
