1.The cheap air flight gives people more choices of travelling, while the problems caused by this transportation should also be considered. Discus both sides and give your own opinion.1-1On the one hand, the inexpensive air flight enriches the choices of travelling means, and makes it possible and accessible for more people to travel by plane. As is known to all, travelling by air is both efficient and enjoyable to most individuals’ minds. This is especially true for those who are constantly commuting from a place to another destination that is far away from the start point. Thus, it is not hard to see the profits cheap air flight can provide in this regard.1-2On the other hand, the decreasing price of air flight is not always beneficial, which is particularly evident when the ideology of environmentalism being taken into account. Specifically, when the price of taking a plane falls down and even halved, the possible outcome is that more people will change their original travelling methods into frequent utilizing of air flight. Consequently, to transport these new passengers to their destinations will consume massive energy, and put out a considerable amount of emission, which will contaminate the air quality. Besides, there being an increasing number of reports shows us the chances of encountering air crush recently, so it seems that air flights are not as safe as they claimed.2.The definition of happiness is different among people living in different situation. What are the causes of this difference? Which factor do you think is the most important for happiness?2-1There are many factors contributing to the definition of happiness in different individuals opinions. Some would consider living situation as one of the reasons that make people feel secure and happy. This is because one might insist that a house or a place for accommodation is the very definition and symbol of home which can always provide us warm and shelter. Some others believe that educational background and one’s outlook on life play an important role in the issue of feeling happy. As education provides people with spiritual knowledge that can enrich one’soutlook on the world and their lives.2-2Personally, I would argue that family and societal harmony are the most important factors guaranteeing people’s pleasure and joy. It is true that the most different nature of human beings is that we are social beings that cannot live without a group nor a community. We need the support and love from our family and the society as well as the other family and social members do.3.The gap between the rich and the poor is increasing in most developing countries. What are the causes for this problem? What measure should take to deal with this?3-1There are many reasons leading to the income discrepancy between the wealthy and the deprived. For example, monopoly of resources and technology is one of the prominent reasons. With technology blocked and resources controlled by some individuals, the others will not easily get access to these two important elements that contributing the most for social productivity. Further, educational difference is also a factor that we cannot deny. Students from remote regions do not have the accessibility to the better or even best educational resources, which is probably why they have relatively small chances to be employed by the ideal positions.3-2In order to bridge the gap, policy of popularizing technology and equal distribution of resources should be put forward. Only by doing this, can we break the monopoly and shuffle the cards of pillar industries. Also, the governments should improve the elementary, secondary, and even higher and further education to ensure every child’s right of being educated equally.4.Some people believe that students should learn different subjects according to their genders. However, others believe that they should choose whatever they want to learn when they are young. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.4-1For one thing, some argue that the subjects students are about to learn should be chosen in accordance with gender difference. This statement is not without reasons. Firstly, male and female students are differentiate from each other in physical and psychological facets. For example, it might be safe to say that women are supposedly more emotional and sensitive than men. Moreover, in terms of future jobs ones are about to take, men and women have very different orientations as well, so they would better choose subjects that are more likely to benefit themselves in the future. For another, some maintain that selecting majors or subjects should be a personal choice which guided by ones’personal target and planning of lives. Besides, the very basic meaning of education is to impart knowledge relating to some certain subjects that students are interested in. Thus, personal interests should be the only thing taken into account when students are choosing subjects.5.The invention of modern technology like the Internet and mobile phones makes working and studying at home more convenient. To what extent do you agree or disagree?5-1We have to admit that technology affects people’s types of relationships and daily lives in a great extent. Some might assert that technology and its by-products bring indirect conversations, misunderstandings and alienations. However, it must be pointed out that technology also enables us to deal with things without limitations of time and space. Naturally, it will become an unstoppable trend in the near future.5-2To my knowledge, with modern technology ever improving, the efficiency and effect of working and studying have been significantly enhanced. For instance, the Internet has enabled students to conduct online study without having to go out and squeeze into the traffic jam just for an one-hour-class at school. Also, mobiles, video-chat applications and other equipment have greatly reduced the cost of time and energy that the employees have to consume for business negotiations.6.As an international tourist, one should always adhere to the local custom during travelling in another country. It is a positive or negative way for better experience?6-1Admittedly, adapting to a rather foreign culture can make people feel uncomfortable and uneasy to some extent. Indeed, although travellers can gain a basic understanding of the tourist destination with the aid of Internet, they might still find it too challenging to accept the completely different rituals. For example, when visiting the Middle East countries in a hot summer day, female travellers may find it ridiculous to wear a veil in such a high temperature, especially when their faces are sweating. However, if they do not wear veil in public, they might get themselves in trouble because of breaking the local customs. In comparison, minimal sacrifices, such as wearing a veil in summer, can provide tourists with much more rewarding travelling experience.Adhering to local culture can give tourists a safer and more unique travel experience in various ways. In terms of safety issue, there is no doubt that safety should be given priority when visiting foreign countries. More precisely, tourists are less likely to visit countries which is having war; similarly, they are not suppose to start a fight with strangers overseas if they can avoid it simply by complying with the local customs. With regard to the aim of travelling, obviously, people travel to broaden their horizon and enrich their experience. Sticking to one’s existing habits, however, go against the essence of travelling. In additions, there are more opportunities for travellers to deepen their friendship with local people if they show respect to the local culture.7.It is hard to keep the balance between work and family. What are the reasons for this problem? What ways should take to deal with this problem?7-1The relation between work and family is fragile due to various reasons. Firstly, people face fierce competition and suffer from great pressure, and the ambition to climb the career ladder leaves them less time for family reunion. As a result, people have to devote more time and energy to their careers. College graduates, for instance, tend to overwork to secure their jobs and seek promotion opportunities. Moreover, many jobs require employees to work in other cities and they have to leave their families to work elsewhere for a period of time. Consequently, they are facing the dilemma of choosing between work and family commitments. Secondly, thanks to high technology, a large number of manual works are now replaced by machines and robots. The jobs left to human beings are so sophisticated that people have to constantly recharge themselves and update their skills. Otherwise, they might be left behind in no time.7-2The balance between work and family can be well maintained in two manners. Firstly, setting a suitable target can give individual opportunities to have a better control of their lives. Unlike restless robots, human would break down if they worked non-stop. Therefore, breaking target into small steps enables individuals to gain a sense of achievement and have a break after reaching each step. Apart from setting a reasonable target, people can receive systematic training regarding life balance. As a matter of fact, many companies are currently practicing this.8.Some people will keep themselves in one job for their entire life, but others would change their jobs as often as possible. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.8-1Retaining one job for their whole life benefits employees in many ways. With respect to work rewards, an employee’s payment package is to some extent determined by one’s lengthy duration at the company and the value one can create for the organization. For example, as one of the most prestigious audit companies, PWC provides the company’s shares and extra bonus to employees who have been with the company for many years. In terms of the promotion opportunities, without any doubt, longer working experience equips employees with the key leverage to promotion, which is particularly the case in certain professions. It is well accepted that an employee cannot fully grasp the core skills and techniques until he or she has been deeply involved in the job for more than five years.8-2Compared with the potential benefits that a longer stay at a job might bring, job hopping at one’s early career path sometimes gives individuals a deeper insight into the general picture of the job market so that they can find their real interests. At present job market, specializing in a particular field does not necessarily guarantee a stable job and income. On the contrary, people are at the risk of losing their livelihood once their expertise can be replaced by machines. Moreover, job hopping encourages graduates to choose a job suiting their interests best. It is not uncommon that a graduate choose a job out of parents’ expectations rather than their own, which might lead to the chronic depression and other psychological problems. In this case, changing the current job and embracing a brand new start can be their best option.9.It is important for the government to invest more money in hospital and other health-related facilities. However, others believe that it is individual’s responsibility to keep their own health. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.9-1As the authority to control and make decisions for a country, a government needs to provide health care to the public. Firstly, financing well-organized health care system is to maintain social stability. In many countries, health care plan is a sensitive issue because it is closely related to every household. Take the United States for example. The health care proposal sometimes decides the final result of presidential election. Referring to the government’s duty, governments provide citizens with the basic health facilities because that is the purpose of collecting tax from tax payers. Investment in health facilities is an active measure to improve people’s health. If people’s health are improved, we as citizens do not need to spend too much money on medical care, and the money to be saved each year can be considerably great, considering the population we now have in China.9-2Empowering individuals to take care of their health can boost their health consciousness and, at the same time, optimize the use of health resources. It is true that free medical services provided, people tend to be lenient with their old bad habits. Indeed, if people ensured that all their illness would be covered by the government, they might play computer games all day long. However, being aware of the possible consequences of bad living styles, such as mounting medical bills, people are more likely to adopt healthy living routines. In addition, self-funded health care suits individuals’ need better. In a market-driven economy, people are entitled to choose any medical services they prefer; hence the competition can force those medical organizations to optimize their services.10.Some criminals will break the law after setting free from the prison. What are the causes of this problem? What measures should take to deal with the problem?10-1When it comes to the motives of recommitting crimes, three things should be mentioned: firstly, after their prison lives, usually, it is difficult to settle down in the city with a stable pay check and a life insurance, which may force them to reunite with the crew before in order to make a living. Namely, for criminals, committing crimes is a way to feed themselves. Secondly, it should never be neglected that the governmental supervision is so vital that it will have deterring effects which ensure the fear of even severe penalty that all used-to-be criminals might suffer. Without any supervision, there is no sense of safety for city dwellers. Lastly, the worst situation is that some lawbreakers commit crimes only because they suffer ill treatment from others. In other words, they run after revenge. The so-called purposeless crime poses huge menace/threat to social peace.10-2According to the reasons above, some solutions will show up: the living odds can be resolved through supplying more subsidies, given that the living problem is the very basic thing the government should guarantee. In addition, the government and the local communities should also reinforce the guidance for these people, which will benefit both the residents and criminals. Finally, to cure criminals’mental anxiety, the whole society should, at least, treat them as equal as others, and then, we should care about their living conditions, materially and spiritually.。

10月19日雅思写作预测范文(2)(4)(1)

10月19日雅思写作预测范文(2)(4)(1)

2019 年10 月19 日雅思写作专业预10 月 19 日写作预测一Taking care of children is important, so both mothers and fathers should take childcare training courses. Do you agree or disagree?(2013/01/19)范文:Both positive and negative effects of childcare have proven to be long lasting. Therefore, there has been a surge of interest in arranging childcare courses for parents. Although it seems to be overreaching to require both parents’ participation in professionally organized childcare training, personally, I believe that both parents’ participation is advisable for the sake of providing growth-oriented environment for children. The notion that the role of parents is to provide a safe place for children to relax, cater for child’s emotional and physical needs, and provide consistent and responsive care is narrow and superficial. Instead,a lot more are expected from the role ofparents and the parenting children received. First of all, taking training course allows parents have a clear perspective of what to expect from the child developmentally and are able to nurture his growing skills accordingly.Simultaneously, researches prove that children’s foundational understanding of intelligence and emotion is formed before they even start explicitly learning a curriculum. It is the environment created by the parents that could stunt or facilitate a child’s sensory, motor, emotional, and linguistic development. This is not only because children are prone to model everything a parent does and incorporate what they see into their own lives. Also, the home education system adopted by the parents and the level of support given to their children will directly affect their children’s intelligence development and problem-solving ability. Therefore, it is crucial for parents to take advice and training on how to behave themselves in front of their children and how to guarantee formal, structured environment for children to stretch and grow.In conclusion, parents have much of a role to play in the growth of the next generation in more aspects than is generally believed. Those traditional ways of childcare is no longer sufficient.10 月 19 日写作预测二Nowadays more and more jobs and tasks are done by machines which involve hard physical work. Do the positive effects of this trend outweigh the negative effects? (2015/11/19)范文The advanced technologies are massively used in many aspects nowadays, and they can complete many things that used to be done by human labour. From my perspective, though it has some potential shortcomings, this development can be regarded as positive. On the one hand, the benefits of robots are undeniable. Firstly, robots can perform some risky task for human beings such as mining and exploration in extreme conditions. In this way, people’s security can be greatly enhanced if these perilous tasks are undertaken by them. Secondly, robots can work more efficiently and accurately than their human counterparts. The workload which could take days to finish by manual work could be done by robot faultlessly within several minutes. For example, when assembling the micro electronic devices, robots undoubtably accomplish this task much better than human. Since being substituted, human beings have more time and energy to fulfill other tasks or enjoy longer leisure time.On the other hand, the downsides of too much reliance on robots cannot be ignored. The most obvious one is the decline of employment rate. Since the incomparable efficiency robots possess, different industries are gradually replacing human labour. Because of the adoption of robots, thousands of works are dismissed from their work and they have to seek other occupations. In addition, if people are overly dependent on these machines, our society will fall into the chaos once robots cannot function normally, not only for the industrial production but also people’s daily lives. To sum up, although robots may bring the problems like reducing job opportunities and over reliance on them, they do make the production more efficient and free people from heavy work.10 月 19 日写作预测三It is known to all that the technological and scientific advances have made greater changes to the range and quality of our food. Some people regard it as an improvement while others believe that the change is harmful. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.范文:Scientific advances have an impact on many aspects of our lives, including food.I believe that the increase in food varieties can be beneficial to mankind, although there are some problems. The development of food technology can be beneficial to the health of many people. This is because they are provided with a wider range of high-quality choices to adopt a balanced diet. For example, some perishables such as fruit and vegetables can be preserved and made available for people in cold climates. Some diet supplements have also been developed to improve the nutrition of our diet and promote our well-being.On the other hand, some people argue that the application of advanced food technology can pose health risks, although it can give us more options in our diet. Genetic engineering, for instance, modifies the genetic characteristics of natural crops, but the health consequence of eating these crops is yet to be known. In addition, some chemicals have been used to increase the shelf life of some foodstuffs, despite the fact that these chemicals can harm our health. In my view, the agricultural industry is able to feed a growing population because of technological advances. The main reason for this development is that technology makes a variety of crops resistant to pests and diseases and also enables these crops to grow faster. This can boost food production. These emerging technologies are especially important for developing countries or heavily populated countries, where many people suffer from malnutrition.10 月 19 日写作预测四News media has become more influential in people's lives. Others believe it is a negative development. To what extent do you agree or disagree.范文The causality may fail to be persuasive between the increasing influence of news media to people and the negatives this trend may bring about, and I would argue in this essay how unreasonable the claim in the prompt is.For those attributing some bad consequences to the development of news media, they may superficially see the surface instead of the truth hidden behind every negative development. It is true that when people are more capable to learn about news through mass media, they may be more easily affected by the afterward thinking of such information. This is even more obvious when bad news, or the controversial one comes –the news of calamities, crimes or scandals, etc.—from the stream media, or news network, because people can get access to those coverages without too many barriers and may be easily terrified by linking the possibilities of the re-emergence of those contents with their own life, or form their own opinion by leaning towards one side of those controversies, some of which are lack of rationality. The social panic and some extreme public consensus then emerge, and this anti-promotes the supposedly harmonious society into an unsecured way.Whereas the myopic thinking listed preclude people’s ability from seeing past the appearance that leads to those detrimental effects, and robs them of the opportunities to recognize the true cruxes that lie behind. Social phenomena, positive or negative, never come for just one reason, and even if those aforementioned panic or disputes are sourced from the news encountered by the learners, the media is still not the one to blame: it is the information itself that provokes those unfavored reactions, or should I say even there is no such media, or even no news injections, other types of information—rumors, gossips, etc.—would lead people to those worries and public opinions anyway, because they emerge alongside the social community and every word from the narrators within it, but not what medium is involved, or even not whether it is news or not. It is therefore sad to say those considering the increasingly influential news media as the culprit are manifesting their recklessness, because it is not the premise, but just the useful method that helps people distinguish more truths from the chaos of information injections. In conclusion, I would very much agree that before scrutinizing whether one thing is leading to negative development, one should firstly set up the system of causality that can testify the true reasons lying behind the phenomenon; news media is clearly not that reason.10 月 19 日写作预测五Nowadays, we rely on news for our knowledge, but we are uncertain about the truth of news. Should we believe journalists? What qualities should a good journalist or correspondent have?MODEL:News and newspapers are an indispensable part of our everyday life because they keep us connected with the outside world. This essay shall discuss whether or not we should believe the journalists and also explain the characteristics of a good journalist. On the one hand, journalists are the only source of information and they indeed provide great service to the public with their talent and hard work. They make residents feel part of this global village by keeping them in touch with it. Sometimes they can even disclose the social problems and provide justice. On the other hand, we should take the information with a pinch of salt as they are likely to spread ill-founded news so as to attract public’s attention. Apart from that, news content occasionally is pre-set and modified based on journalists subjective views. In China, for example, journalists may hide the truth when high-profile people commit crimes such as rapes.A good journalist should have many qualities. First of all, there is a need for bold journalists, unafraid to present the truth. Sometimes the truth is unsavoury or damaging, but despite that, the truth is still paramount. Nothing should be hidden because of self-interest or bias because there is a responsibility to the public to show transparency. Furthermore, credibility and expertise are needed for a good journalist. With advancements in technology, the dissemination of information is instantaneous and coming from innumerable sources, some without much confirmation of credibility. We need good journalists in society to interpret the vast amounts of available information, understand the context and importance, and sift through the information to determine source integrity. In conclusion, I believe that we can choose to trust the journalists because they bring us the latest news ranging from entertainment to current affairs. Good journalists are those with integrity, responsibility and expertise.。
