本单元以Where句型为主线，询问物品的具体方位, 同时复习文具类单词、身体部位单词，并学习事物类单词如car,cap,map,boat，box，toy，ball等，让学生初步掌握询问、猜测并介绍物品方位的句型，以及相关的一般疑问句和相应的回答。

教材分别以对话、游戏、指令、歌谣、小故事等形式为载体，创设情境呈现目标语言素材，促进学生对单元核心内容和技能的掌握。

整个单元主要包含Main Scene 、Section A 、Section B 和Section C 四个部分。

Main Scene是对整个单元知识的预览，主要通过游戏情境呈现单元的主题对话，让学生初步了解本单元的重点话题--谈论事物的具体位置，也可以作为整个单元最后的复习巩固素材。

A部分主要包含Let’s talk, Let’s play, Let’s learn, Let’s do, Let’s spell 五个环节，分为两课时。

第一课时主要通过情景对话引出三会单词in, under, desk，呈现本单元重点句型“Where is my pencil box?/ It’s in your desk.”，并通过玩一玩练习重点句型。
