Unit4 What can you do?Part C Story time

The content of my lesson is PEP primary English Book5 Unit4 Part C Story Time.I design 7parts in teaching.They are part1........Let me talk about the teaching material.

Part1 Teaching material

Part C Story time is an elective content in the whole unit.The topic of the story is about a clever rat escape from the snake.By this story ,Ss can review what they have learned "what can you do?I can...Can you...?Yes,I can.No,I can't." At the same time,Ss can improve the abilities to deal with the things wisely in difficulties.So this part is wealthy to learn. Part2 Students

Grade 5 ss have a basic ability to learn English,they can speak some phrases and sentences.Moreover, they also have a curiosity to the fairy tale.So this part is easy to learn and understand for them.

Part3 Teaching objectives

Therefore, on studying the teaching material and analyzing the regulation of children’s growing of mind, I put forward the teaching aims according to new English lesson standard.

1 Cognitive aims:

(1)Ss can read and recognize the old words:can sing dance

swim.

(2)Ss can know meaning of the new words from the story.

(3)Ss can grasp the main idea of the story.

2 Ability aim:Ss can improve the ability of getting information by detailed reading.

3 Emotional aim:Cultivate Ss abilities to solve the problems wisely.

Part4 Teaching points and difficulty

According to the course of the teaching content and students' understanding of knowledge degree, combined with the course teaching objectives and learning goals, I think the key and difficult points of this course is”Grasp the main idea of the story.”and”Cultivate Ss abilities to solve the problems wisely.”

Part5 Teaching and learning metho d

In this topic, I will use the ...............First I will design some tasks to help them persept the story before while reading.Then lead Ss to talk about "what do learn from the story"in the group after while reading.Therefore let the Ss be the master of the class and Ss centered teaching method is well show.

Part6 Teaching process

In order realize the teaching process properly and efficiently ,I divide the teaching process into 5steps.They are....First,I will talk about step1.

Step1 Warming up

First,I will say "Hello" to everyone,then sing a song "What can you do? "together.TPR method can make Ss happy and stimulate their interest in learning english.At the same time,TPR method help them review what they have learnt last week.Such as:What can you do?I can....

Step2 Present new knowledge

(1)Pre-reading

I will show 4 tasks to the Ss,let them read the story with these questions.So Ss can get the main idea of the story,also can develop the skills of skimming.

(2)While-reading

Then I will lead Ss to analysis the new phrases and theme of the story.Therefore,Ss could get much detailed information.

Step3 Practice(Post reading)

1.In order to make the Ss mater the teaching material, let them listen to the tape again.

2.Ask Ss to play a role.the purpose is to pay attention to their emotion and voice.
