My favorite place of interest

My favorite place of interest in Beijing is the Great Wall, and it’s one of the world’s eight wonders. It’s about more than 8,000 kilometers long. This makes it the longest wall in the world.

I like it because I think it is a symbol of China. It shows our Chinese are very brave and wise. The ancient emperors build the wall to protect their country. When I walk on the road built by those heroes, it reminds me that I should cherish the peaceful life and everything I have. Also, the Great wall is a wonderful place to visit and learn about the long history of China. Every year, thousands of tourists come here and tour the beautiful views.

In the process of climbing the Great Wall, people are able to do exercise in the open air and take some amazing photos as sweet memories. By enjoying beautiful sights around them, they could also be deeply moved by the man-made object.

In this way, I believe the Great Wall is worth visiting.

A Special Experience with My Parents

I have had a special experience with my parents. Last summer vacation, I got good grades in the last final exam as a reward, my parents decided to take me to India.

On the first day, we took a long bus ride to lake in the countryside. Then we put up a tent and made a fire to keep us warm. At night, we were so tired that we went to sleep early. The next morning, when I looked out of my tent, I saw a big snake sleeping near the fire. I was scared that I couldn’t move. I shouted to my parents to let them know about the danger. My father stared to jump up and down in their tent. This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest.

I learned that snakes don’t have ears but can feel things moving and it’s important not to go near a snake. More importantly, I learnt we should calm down when we face the danger. What a special and meaningful experience!
