H: With the fast pace of our modern life, more and more people are living under great pressure.Stress comes in all shapes and size, and has become pervasive, it seems to penetrate everything and everybody, it's hard to get through a day without hearing or reading something about stress. So today, our topic is “Stress”.

Different people have different ideas about pressure. First, let’s describe your understanding of stress.

A: In my opinion, stress is a power pushing you to do something even you are not attracted.

B: Stress is a tense emotion, because you are worried about difficulties in your life.

H: Do you feel stressful?

A: Of course. Stress flood from all aspects.

B: I can’t agree more. No one can survive from stress in this competitive society.

H: Like it or not there is always stress of one kind or another. What’s your major stress now?

A:The midsemester is around the corner, I have to review and do exercises in my spare time, but the course is too difficult to have a good grasp. You can’t imagine how worried I am.

B: Besides the stress from study, I am also under the pressure from economic condition and social relationship.

H: Facing the stress, someone try to get rid of it or even go to extremes, such as committing suicide, but it’s not advisable. We are supposed to handle it rather than avoid it. What’s your attitude towards the inevitable stress?

A: As you said, stress is inevitable so the negative attitude is meaningless.You can adjust your state of mind to prevent nervousness and then face the reality bravely.

B: Every coin has two sides. If you are positive, the awful stress also can be strength to insist on and inspire your potential.

H: Attitudes do make sense. Yours are proper and worth studying for us. Why not share your ways to release stress with us?

A: When I feel nervous, I often listen to music. Music can relax my mood. After that, I can feel better and have a clear mind to solve the problems. Besides it, running and communication with my friends are also good ways to relax.

B: I know that it’s not easy for my parents to make money, so I’ll try my best to control myself not wasting money and make a plan at the beginning of the month.

H: I'm in favor of your idea. I believe that a little pressure is certainly an important incentive in life. It is only when the pressure gets out of control can it leads to poor performance and bad health. Since it is impossible to escape from pressure, certainly there is no

sense trying to do so or complaining about it. The modern society requires us not only the professional knowledge but also the ability to handle stress.
