There is no doubt he was one of the most distinguished in the history of the most successful people. This book has warned people to stay away from bad habits, away from mediocrity. Improving the quality of life, personality, and achieve the goal of self-improvement.Throughout his life, Franklin is not terribly favorable environment for the growth, it should be said is a relatively bland appearance, was born in 1706 in Boston in North America, has 17 children rank 15 at home. Father was a small businessman engaged in wax and SOAP, into the school in just two years, family distress after dropping out. At the age of 2 brother"s printing shop apprentices, apprenticeship days is hard, but he was an apprentice of spare time to work hard, read lots of books. In terms of politics, science, history, literature, has laid a solid foundation. He also through the skillful use of self-study French: Italy language, Spain language, Latin. In 1726 proprietary Franklin printing factory, thriving from this cause. Has created a United States dreams tale, he printed and issued a huge impact of the Pennsylvania. He invented the lightning rod, dual-use glasses, new furnaces and modern street lights. He pioneered the North American colonies death without joint slogan and drafted the Declaration of independence waspublished in 1771 had changed the destiny of the millions of others, of the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin the book vividly describes his process of growth. Has warned people to be positive. This book much better motto in life is felt in the life of Franklin, read this book not only to realize that life motto, but also in light of its own culture and other aspects of human nature self improvement, each chapter of this book tells are true picture of his life, chapter tells the person the feeling of doing things, and provide me with a lot of inspiration. In his view, reading is the key to success for his happiness. books are priceless, is he the greatest joy. Give us wisdom, strengthen our resolve, enables us to walk with wisdom, lofty intellect fills our souls.Franklin attaches great importance to their virtues. Therefore, he himself put forward 13 requirements, are: moderation, live quiet, orderly, determination, and frugal, diligence, honesty, justice, moderation, clean, quiet, chaste and modest man. He has been trying to get to do that, even though he is difficult to fully meet the requirements, but he was persistent. I want to be able to do it that 13 people, has been called saints, and in fact such perfect really rare, but to pursue such a perfect person can make great achievements in virtue. My goal is to develop these virtues in their possession, so I think it is best not to all at once try to, I think it is very difficult to do, or in a period of focus on one point, for good. Such virtue into habit I, followed by training in another. So I schedule an abstinence first the cultivation of virtue, because it requires calm, clarity of thought. Such a cool head and clear thinking is necessary, the only way to keep vigilant against the inertia of old habits and temptations to contain never exhausted.Having obtained this virtue in much easier to cultivate virtue.Early in the debate also see Franklin is not modest, I have often made similar mistakes, debates, when there is no need to very b overwhelm people, although at the time might give them a certain amount of pleasure, but be sure to experience the feelings of others. Was impressed by their Franklin was honored as a United States-Sen level character, can last a lifetime to keep thrifty style of work, has made monumental contributions to social welfare undertakings, comparing their own impetuous and most people now shows how.I wish people would later need in: taciturn, modest, frugal, and mindful that removing these bad habits, perhaps to his growing up will have a lot of help. There is one thing, I think it is necessary, is that everyone should use this book and understand educational public utilities such as impact on humans as well as a city, State.Franklin said the saying: it seems to me, to bring happiness to mankind, is not so much the chance of a huge fortune, that was going on at all times around them much trivial for it. I think, this is very instructive to remind people: not just those lucky once in a blue moon, ignoring little things around; the phrase is also very good explanation of Franklin"s invention of the benefit of mankind and why he became an inventor.Franklin in so many areas to make have an impact on the world, should rely to a large extent his habits much to my regret, cannot see the biography of his life, perhaps I was more interested in part of his life, often in this way, love to see a brilliant side. After watching the rotation of the Franklin, deep perceptionof people can not be conquered by the inert and cannot be bound by the original self. To move forward is to log on the move. 2In this term, I read the book The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, in the book, he showed us what his childhood was like and what he came to value as meaningful and worthwhile techniques of communication, conduct, and self-improvement.Franklin was not in favorable growth environment, and it should be a relatively plain appearance. In 1706 he was born in North America, the home Top 15 of 17 children. His Father is involved in wax and soap as a small businessman, Franklin entered the school for about two years before dropping out of school because of family distress. Then he went to work as an apprentice in his brother’s printing shop, the apprentice days was very difficult, but he did a good use of the apprenticeship leisure time to study hard, and read a lot of books in politics, science, history and literature. He was also proficient in the use of French, Italian, Spanish and Latin by himself. In 1726 Franklin manages a printing factory, it was a great success which created a legend of the American dream, and he printed a huge impact Pennsylvania. He invented the lightning rod, dual-purpose glasses, new stove and new lights. He pioneered the North American colonies the slogan that is not join are the death and drafted out the drafting of Declaration of Independence published in 1771 which changed the fate of countless people, and this book gave a description of its process of growth and exhorted the people to be positive.there are a lot of Proverbs in this book that Franklin felt in his life, reading this book is not only to feel the sentiment, but also to combine their training and humanity and then to improveourselves, the book describes each chapter are a true portrayal of his life and tell us how to get all the perception which inspired me very muchIn his view, reading is the key to success. Book is invaluable he greatest joy. Books give us wisdom, strengthen our determination and let us have the wisdom of the trip of our life.Franklin attaches great importance to his own virtue. Therefore, he proposed to 13 requirements for himself namely: control, quiet, orderly life, determination, frugality, diligence, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquility, chastity and humility. He has been trying to do that, though he cannot completely meet the requirements, but he was persistent. The people who can meet the 13 requirements can be called saints of the fact that people are rarely perfect, but it can pursue such a perfect people in the United States and Germany who have achieved great success. My goal is to cultivate these virtues in himself, so I think it is best not to try all at once, I think it is very difficult, or in a period of time focused on one thing for the good.I will cultivate this virtue into habit, and then in another culture. So I arranged for the virtues of moderation training at first, because it needs to stay calm and think clearly. This cool-headed and clear thinking is necessary; the only way to always be vigilant is to resist the inertia of old habits and curb the temptation. If we have the excellence we can get other excellence much easier in exchange. Also seen in the debate, Franklin was not humble when he was young, I often make that mistake, when there is no need to overwhelm people with very b tone, although at the time it could have brought their own pleasure, but we need to understand other people"s feelings.Franklin was revered as the father of America for his impressive image that can maintain a frugal life style of work for the public welfare and make immortal contributions, compared to my own and the majority of people we can knew how impetuous we are.I hope people will need: reticent, modest, frugal, more importance in the future to remove these bad habits, those things may be of great help to our growth. What’s more, I think it is necessary for everyone to by this book, which can have a better understanding of education, public utilities, as well as a human city, country effects.Benjamin Franklin once said this sentence: In my view, the things can bring happiness to mankind is not so much the great golden lucky, might as well say is the convenience all the time around. I think these words were very inspiring words, not only those rare good fortune, while ignoring the little things around; but also this sentence is also very good explain for Franklin"s invention of those who benefit mankind and the reason for he became a inventor .Franklin can make great success in so many areas which have a huge impact on the world affairs, should be largely dependent on his habits, very sorry I could not see his biography later life, perhaps he"s more interested in some of my later life, in fact, people often like to see a brilliant side. After reading Franklin"s autobiography, a deep sense I received is that people cannot be conquered by inertia, cannot be the original self-restraint. To move forward to what we should aim at.《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇3In this clear, crisply written story of his life, Benjamin Franklinshows the reader what his childhood was like and what he came to value as meaningful and worthwhile techniques of communication, conduct, and self-improvement. A conscientious and serious youth, Franklin nevertheless left his boyhood town because he had impregnated a young lady. This early act of responsibility led him to pursue work that led him, in the coming years of the American Revolution, to be a b advocate of political independence, even at the cost of war. Franklin became as fine a statesman as ever the United States was to produce. One of the country"s founding fathers and a tireless champion of individual liberty, he also served as the American ambassador to France. He tells of how he learned the printing trade and how he established Poor Richard"s Almanac. He also shares with his readers his hopes for the free country that he helped to bring into being. The reader cannot help but admire this brilliant and brave founding father, as much for his humility as for his services to his country and its future citizens.《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇4Franklin is the positive portrait of a hundred dollar bill, the drafter of the Declaration of Independence, and a great scientist and writer. Franklin was the founder of the American spirit, brought great material, institutional and spiritual benefits to the Americans at that time, and was also the idol of Charlie Munger. In this autobiography, Franklin recorded the growth process of his life. As an apprentice in his brother's printing factory, he learned good printing technology there. He spent almost his life in printing and gained huge economic income. He also had an adventurous experience. He did not have a smooth life. Later, he participated in public activities and scientific experiments and gained great reputation. His achievements in life are not comparable to those of ordinary great people. The reason is that, in addition to the rich and enviable gifts of God, one thing is particularly important. In his 22 year old youth, he proposed 13 kinds of virtues: temperance, silence, order, determination, thrift, diligence, sincerity, justice, moderation, neatness, calmness, abstinence, humility, and cultivated these virtues through constant practice and self-examination.I believe that the practice of these virtues will benefit Franklin all his life and make great achievements in different fields.《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇5Franklin was born on January 2, 1706 because he was born into a poor family of small businessmen. Several times he was forced to drop out of school and work in small shops. Later, he worked as an apprentice in his brother's printing house and finally opened a printing house in Philadelphia. During this period, he lived a hard life, lived a simple life and lived a simple life. But there has always been a very strong spirit supporting him. In addition to his hard work, he always has a strong thirst for knowledge and enthusiasm to spare all the time and money to read and buy books. In his opinion, reading is the key to his happiness and success. Books are priceless, which is his greatest happiness. That's why he grew up with French, Italian, Spanish and Latin.Behind the success, however, it was extremely difficult to become the President of the United States and also a great inventor. He invented a new type of stove, lightning rod, overhead book reader, automatic barbecue machine, three wheel clock, etc.My exclamation to Franklin is: No pains, no talents. He madepainstaking efforts to taste the fruits of success. He created happiness for all Americans. We should learn from Franklin's spirit. 6This month, I read Franklin's Autobiography carefully and felt deeply inspired. The book tells the life of Benjamin Franklin. He was born in a poor family. He dropped out of school to work at the age of 10, worked in his brother's factory at the age of 12, and opened his own repair shop at the age of 20... Over the past 20 years, he has experienced difficulties, but he has always insisted on doing one thing: reading, reading! This made him very knowledgeable when he was young. Reading this book, I deeply felt his hard and brilliant life, which made me admire him.Franklin is a man who is good at observation, brave in practice and indomitable. It can be seen from his experiment of "catching lightning" that he finally confirmed that "God's anger" is nonsense, regardless of the obstruction of authoritative figures, and thunderstorms are just ordinary discharge phenomena. It is this spirit of good observation, courage to practice and perseverance that finally made him successful, and he was honored as the "Father of America" by later generations. When I think of myself, once we had a math exam, one of the questions was very difficult, and I had to work hard to finish it. After the exam, I seriously thought about it and found that there are better and simpler methods. It seems that my observation and analysis ability is not strong enough! Compared with Franklin, we have much less difficulties in our study. Franklin could not give up easily in the face of so many difficulties. Why don't we study hard? This book has benefited me a lot. Franklin is my model. He taught me to strive to be a person who is good at observation, brave in practice and never gives up.《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇7In the summer vacation, I read the autobiography of Franklin, which mainly tells about Franklin, who was born in a working family in Boston. Because of his poor family, he dropped out of school after only two years of schooling. At the age of 12, he went to his brother's printing house as an apprentice. Franklin read in his spare time and traveled around. He held a co reader club in Philadelphia. At the age of 25, he founded the first public library in Philadelphia, and at the age of 45, he founded the University of Philadelphia. Later, he helped the United States to become independent. He went to France from 1776 to 1785, and in 1778 he concluded the American French Alliance.I think Franklin is a hard worker. He dropped out of school in his early years, but he studied hard in his spare time. When he grew up, he loved studying more and got degrees from many colleges.I also think he is very patriotic. He participated in drafting the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. He also used his rich knowledge to make the United States and France alliance and make great contributions to the United States. He is also a person who has made great contributions to the world. He is a famous figure in electricity. He put forward the single fluid theory of electricity, created the law of conservation of charge, broke people's fear of lightning, unified the sky and earth electricity, and made lightning rods.He is also a good inventor. He invented the three wheel clock, the overhead book reader, the new street lamp, etc., which has brought great convenience to people's lives.Franklin was a hardworking, patriotic man who made contributions to the world and was good at invention. His brand is worth learning.《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇8A young man of low birth has many shortcomings and setbacks. But with his desire for knowledge, curiosity about the unknown, unremitting efforts to improve himself, and enthusiasm for serving others, he finally made achievements in literature, science, commerce, and politics, and became a man who was printed on a hundred dollar bill. The first half of this autobiography is the most interesting, with many true details of childhood. Both young people are motivated, for example, they insist on using lunch and off work time to improve their writing skills through reading and imitation; There are also many other people who may not be able to write in their autobiography, for example, they are annoyed that they broke up with their friends because of their actions on their friends' girlfriends, so that they will not return to their friends' debts.Among his many advantages, what makes him unique is his curiosity and practical spirit. From the essence of lightning and the temperature of the ocean current, to the construction of the fireplace and the design of the street lamp, he was all concerned about and verified with practice. Since he realized financial freedom by opening a chain printing factory at the age of 40, he has had more time to engage in research and public service. However, his curiosity about the world and his enthusiasm to serve others from around actually emerged from a very early age and carried through his life.Franklin was an outstanding man, who could be said to bethe spokesman of pragmatism. There is not much metaphysical thinking, just roll up your sleeves and do something, which is admirable.《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇9In the summer vacation, I finished reading Franklin's Autobiography, and I felt deeply.Franklin, formerly Benjamin Franklin. He is a famous politician, scientist, publisher, printer, journalist, writer, philanthropist, outstanding diplomat and inventor. He was one of the important leaders of the American Revolution. He also carried out a number of experiments on electricity, invented lightning rod, double focus, glasses and frog shoes, etc. His Poor Richard's Almanac contains a lot of wonderful proverbs about becoming rich through thrift and being a man. It is known as the cornerstone of American culture and has a profound impact on people's values. His autobiography is recognized as an American spiritual book that has changed the fate of countless people, with its left side containing feelings of life struggle and success, as well as praise for being good at virtue.Franklin was abused by his brother at the age of 17. His article aroused hostility between the colonial government and pro religious men and women, so he went south alone by boat. The journey was also arduous. After passing through New York and then arriving in Philadelphia, I started as an apprentice, relying on my own diligence and wisdom,. He became a successful printer, then ran a newspaper, became a postmaster, engaged in public welfare, served as a member of the colonial parliament, and finally became one of the founding fathers.Franklin is not a maverick genius. He is a generalist who conforms to reality and works hard by himself. Franklin isundoubtedly a cultural hero. What is the implementation of creating this hero?《富兰克林自传》英文读后感篇10After reading Franklin's Autobiography, I learned about the extraordinary growth of a weather beaten old man and realized the true meaning of life. I couldn't help but want to learn from him and become a man like FranklinFranklin was born in an ordinary handicraft family. Due to family difficulties, he entered school at the age of 8, left school at the age of 10, and went home to help his father make candles to support his family. At the age of 12, he apprenticed to a small printing house and worked as a printer for nearly 10 years. In his life, he only studied in school for two years, but he never stopped learning. He saved some money from the food bill to buy books to read all night long. He is eager to absorb all aspects of knowledge, whether it is natural, scientific, technical, or scientific award papers, he has carefully studied. With this knowledge, it is not difficult to understand why Franklin became a world-renowned inventor, writer, diplomat and leader of the independent revolution.Franklin not only made many important inventions in natural science, such as lightning rod, but also was one of the founders of the United States of America. The mission to France contributed to the establishment of the alliance between the United States and France. He is not only the pride of the American people, but also the pride of the people of the world.Franklin loved reading and learning, and was good at independent thinking. He was a diligent, practical and hardworking person. Although the road to success was bumpy, he did not give up his ideal. Even though we live in poverty, westill find every way to squeeze out time to buy books and learn knowledge. I have great admiration and adoration for Franklin, the hero!。
I recently finished reading Benjamin Franklin's autobiography and was struck by his incredible journey. Born into poverty, he rose to become one of the most influential figures in American history. His story is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, andself-improvement.One of the things I most admired about Franklin was his ability to learn from his mistakes. He made many mistakes throughout his life, but he never let them define him. Instead, he used them as opportunities to learn and grow. For example, when he was young, he ran away from home and ended up living on the streets of Philadelphia. This was a difficult time for him, but he eventually found work as a printer and began to build a new life for himself.Franklin was also a master of self-improvement. He wasconstantly reading, writing, and experimenting. He was always looking for ways to improve himself, bothintellectually and physically. For example, he developed a system of daily exercises that he followed for many years. He also taught himself several languages and became askilled musician.Franklin's autobiography is a powerful reminder that we can all achieve great things if we are willing to work hard and never give up on our dreams. He faced many challengesin his life, but he never let them stop him from pursuinghis goals. His story is an inspiration to us all.

The book review of Benjamin Franklin's autobiographyI chose The autobiography of Benjamin Franklin to read this winter vacation.I only know that he is a famous American statesman before I read it.But now I learn more about his multiple identities and talents. Autobiography is mainly divided into four parts and describes the franklin's rich life pared with the his legendary life in business and politics,I'm more interested in his learning, for his own training and strict constraints when he was young. At the same time,I think it is something what we should be more attention as college students. Franklin loves reading and learning, and have strong memory. When he was as an apprentice and printers,he was busy, but his study has never been interrupted, even from the meal’s cost saving money to buy books. He read a wide range, from the aspects of natural science, technology of paper pulps to famous scientists as well as the scope of the writer's works are his reading. He also tirelessly to learn foreign languages, has mastered the French, Italian, Spanish and Latin.I think this is what he has the source of many talents.Because of this,h became the publishers, printers, journalist, writer, philanthropist, at the same time is also the outstanding politicians, diplomats, scientists and inventors. What disturbs me is that I usually contact network too much, read too little.Although I know it will make me become ignorant and stupid, I still can't read a book carefully. Expect his own talent, his virtue is commendable. He is a man of decency, his incerity, simplicity, justice, tolerance, modest characte to make all who knew him praise. In addition to smoke, he has no other bad habits,he is not drinking, no whoring, no gambling. This set a good image for him, lethim deeply be trust. Benjamin Franklin plan for attaining moral perfection. He wrote down a list of 13 virtues in order to help him achieve moral perfection throughout his lifetime. The most touches me is temperance, order and industry. The first one is"Temperance", it means eat not dulness; drink not elevation. He is really only eat a little bread and cheese and is even a vegetarian.I can't do it forever! In my opinion, foreigners just has very few kind of foods compared with Chinese food and they have no luck to eat something delicious. In this case,Franklin still completely don't care about food.I can't understand completely.Delicious food is the best of everything in the world,I don't think to reject it is a virtue.Of course, this is just my personal opinion about this.Perhaps other people agree with the practice of franklin and learn from him.Anyhow I can't accept it.秩序The third virtue is " Order". Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.I totally agree it.No matter when, with our own life well is very necessary. And, franklin is not only do this in the life, he also use it for his own business. That is to say,the precept of Order requiring that every part of his business should have its allotted time, so he have one page contain'd the following scheme of employment for the twenty-four hours of a natural day. This is a very good habit, but it is also much easier said than done. For instance,I don't do things organized.Even though I knew it would bring a lot of trouble to my life and study, but I just can't do with order plan.So I have admired franklin so in perfect order every time. The sixth virtue is "Industry",it means Lose no time; be always employed in something useful;cut off all unnecessary actions.I think he used his whole life to practice this word, because his life is very industrious. When Franklin was a boy,his father often repeated a proverb of Solomon, “Seest thou a man diligent in his calling, he shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men.”This sentence has inspired him. When he was apprenticed to the printing shop,he worked hard and study carefully as long as he has time. When he is a printer,he is busy in his business. When he was a senator or diplomat,He actively in social activities. In a nutshell,he s always busy and never lazy.It makes me ashamed.I am always addicted to the Sina weibo, movies, TV series when I have freetime.I wasted too much time.He listed 13 kinds of virtues, but the limited space, I just said I think the most important thing. And, of course, he not only made plan, also draw a form for supervise his own behavior. He used his determination andperseverance stick to his plan, to practice his virtue. Benjamin Franklin is a nearly perfect man.He knew that his life is how to spend,In particular,a lot of effort in his young period,This is the root cause of all his achievements made in the future and praise.I know that rather than envious of his outstanding achievement with its, learning his hardworking and temperance.Maybe I should try to change, like Franklin.Make a feasible plan and implement it carefully.Only in this way can I become more e on!From now on, change myself!。
富兰克林读后感英文(正文565单词,后附加13条美德)Reading ReportIn my spare time, I read an article about Benjamin Franklin. The book was written by Benjamin Franklin. The article named Benjamin Franklin ——13-point plan for honest living.Franklin sought after moral perfection. He included thirteen virtues that was necessary or desirable for him, like temperance, silence, order, resolution, frugality, industry, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquillity, chastity, humility. To my surprise, he obtained those virtues as much as possible by methodical train. To the joint influence of the whole mass of the virtues, even in the imperfect state he was able to acquire them, all that evenness in conversation, which makes his company still sought for and agreeable even to his younger acquaintance. He is a pagan, but he believed some religious principles. In his view, reading is the key to happiness. The book is invaluable, his greatest joy. Because of this, he was fluent in French, Italian, Spanish and Latin. Also, he was an inventor. He invented the lighting rod, two-purpose glasses, new stove and new streetlight. In common with author, I enjoy debating with others. I agree with Benjamin’s words. Debate makes people often extremely disagreeable in company by the contradiction that is necessary to bring it into practice; and thence, besides souring and spoiling the conversation, is productive of disgusts and, perhaps, enmities where you may have occasion for friendship. In fact, if you win the debate, you will feel satisfy. But at the same time, the loser will be upset. Franklin had a friend named Collins. Collins was naturally more eloquent, had a ready plenty of words. And sometimes, as Benjamin’s thought, bore him down more by Collins’s fluency than by the strength of the reasons. His father happened to find Franklin’s letter. Then his father gave him some advice. His father said, though he had the advantage of his antagonist in correct spelling and pointing(which he owed to the printing house), he fell far short in elegance of expression, in method and in perspicuity .From that words, I knew that Franklin was a little proud, but he was modest much. He was willing to accept other’s advice and change himself. In addition, Franklin’s behavior was admirable. He taught me how to make friends with opponent. Franklin engaged in politics and a person always was against him. So he found a peaceful way to solve the problem. He knew the opponent had a certain very scarce and curious book. So he wrote a note to the opponent expressing his desire of perusing that book owed requesting he would give him the favor of lending it to him for a few days. The opponent sent it immediately and Franklin returned it in about a week with another note expressing strongly his sense of the favor. The opponent ever after manifested a readiness to serve him on all occasions, so that they became great friends and their friendship continued to his death. This is another instance of the truth of an old maxim, which says, He that has once done you a kindness will be more ready to do you another, than he whom you yourself have obliged. And it shows how much more profitable it is prudently to remove, than to resent ,return, and continue inimical proceedings. To sum up, Franklin was a perfect person in my view. I will try my best to be a better person like him.Benjamin Franklin —— 13-point plan for honest livingThese names of virtues, with their precepts, were:1. TEMPERANCE.
Franklin's Autobiography is a classic work in American literature. In this book, Franklin tells the story of his life and the lessons he learned along the way. He begins with his childhood in Boston and goes on to describe his apprenticeship as a printer, his work as a journalist and writer, and his role as a diplomat and statesman. One of the things I admire most about Franklin is his determination and work ethic. He was always looking for ways to improve himself and his community. For example, he started the first public library in America and founded the University of Pennsylvania. He was also instrumental in the creation of the United States Postal Service.Another thing I appreciate about Franklin is his honesty and humility. He was not afraid to admit his mistakes and shortcomings, and he was always willing tolearn from others. This is evident in his famous quote, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."Overall, Franklin's Autobiography is a fascinating and inspiring read. It is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and self-improvement.
Franklin's Autobiography is an inspirational book that has influenced generations of Americans. It contains the insights of Franklin's life. Telling people to stay away from mediocrity, pursue ideals, and love learning is the truth that changes the quality of life.In fact, Franklin did not have a very favorable growth environment. He dropped out of school when he was ten years old. He made candles with his father, saved his wages to buy books, borrowed books from the bookstore at night, read all night, and sent them back in the morning. Franklin has a wide range of knowledge: history, politics, physicsIn 1726, Franklin opened his own printing factory. Since then, his career has been thriving. He invented dual-use glasses, lightning rod and new street lamp Franklin usually paid special attention to his virtues. He put forward 13 requirements for his virtues: temperance, determination, frugality, diligence, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanness, calm, chaste, modest, taciturn, and orderly life. These 13 requirements are also very useful to me. When I debate issues, I often speak out my own views at one time. Before the other party can speak, I deny the other party's views. Franklin's view on this issue was that it was not necessary to say anything but to think for the other side, which was called humility. Yes, if there is no communication, what is the significance of the debate?Doesn't it become a strong argument? Instead of passively convincing others, it is better to let others take the initiative to convince them. Every time I discuss an idea in the debate, I leave enough time for the other party to think about it. Finally, I let others take the initiative to convince me of my idea. Of course, how to list examples in the debate and eloquently argue with the other party is inseparable from reading. By constantly learning knowledge from books at ordinary times, people can make continuous progress in thinking and become the same person as Franklin.People can't be controlled by inertia. I will demand myself with 13 requirements: temperance, determination, frugality, diligence, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanness, calm, chastity, modesty, reticence, and an orderly life.
Franklin's autobiography is a film influenced several generations of Americans after hundreds of years enduring inspirational's wonderful, it contains insights of struggle and success in life, and the true meaning of beauty in all kinds of good moral, was recognized as changing the fate of countless people United States essential reading. There is no doubt he was one of the most distinguished in the history of the most successful people. This book has warned people to stay away from bad habits, away from mediocrity. Improving the quality of life, personality, and achieve the goal of self-improvement. Throughout his life, Franklin is not terribly favorable environment for the growth, it should be said is a relativelybland appearance, was born in 1706 in Boston in North America, has 17 children rank 15 at home. Father was a small businessman engaged in wax and SOAP, into the school in just two years, family distress after dropping out. At the age of 2 brother's printing shop apprentices, apprenticeship days is hard, but he was an apprentice of spare time to work hard, read lots of books. In terms of politics, science, history, literature, has laid a solid foundation. He also through the skillful use ofself-study French: Italy language, Spain language, Latin. In 1726 proprietary Franklin printing factory, thriving from this cause. Has created a United States dreams tale, he printed and issued a huge impact of the Pennsylvania. He invented the lightning rod, dual-use glasses, new furnaces and modern street lights. He pioneered the North American colonies "death without joint" slogan "and drafted" the Declaration of independence"was published in 1771 had changed the destiny of the millions of others, of the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin the book vividly describes his process of growth. Therefore,he himself put forward 13 requirements, are: moderation, live quiet, orderly, determination, and frugal, diligence, honesty, justice, moderation, clean, quiet, chaste and modest man. He has been trying to get to do that, even though he is difficult to fully meet the requirements, but he was persistent. I want to be able to do it that 13 people, has been called "saints", and in fact such perfect really rare, but to pursue such a perfect person can make great achievements in virtue. Such a cool head and clear thinking is necessary, the only way to keep vigilant againstthe inertia of old habits and temptations to contain never exhausted. Having obtained this virtue in much easier to cultivate virtue.Early in the debate also see Franklin is not modest, I have often made similar mistakes, debates, when there is no need to very strong overwhelm people, although at the time might give them a certain amount of pleasure, but be sure to experience the feelings of others. Was impressed by their Franklin was honored as a United States-Sen level character, can last a lifetime to keep thrifty style of work, has made monumental contributions to social welfare undertakings, comparing their own impetuous and most people now shows how.I wish people would later need in: taciturn, modest, frugal, and mindful that removing these bad habits, perhaps to hisgrowing up will have a lot of help. There is one thing, I think it is necessary, is that everyone should use this book and understand educational public utilities such as impact on humans as well as a city, State.Franklin said the saying: "it seems to me, to bring happiness to mankind, is not so much the chance of a huge fortune, that was going on at all times around them much trivial for it. "I think, this is very instructive to remind people: not just those lucky once in a blue moon, ignoring little things around; the phrase is also very good explanation of Franklin's invention of the benefit of mankind and why he became an inventor. Franklin in so many areas to make have an impact on the world, should rely to a large extent his habits much to my regret, cannot see the biography of his life, perhaps I was more interested in part of his life, often in this way, love to seea brilliant side. After watching the rotation of the Franklin, deep perception of people can not be conquered by the inert and cannot be bound by the original self. To move forward is to log on the move.。
本杰明富兰克林自传读书报告英文本杰明富兰克林自传读书报告英文(正文1310个单词)Reading ReportIn my spare time, I read a book named The Autobiography Of Benjamin Franklin. The book was written by Benjamin Franklin. This book contains 298 pages. The book is an autobiography. The book told me a mass of anecdotes of Benjamin’s life. Benjamin was born in 1706, in Boston. When he was young, after dropping out, he was crazy about reading books so that he became a printer working for his brother to earn money. After several years later, because of conflicts between his brother and him, he decided to leave his hometown to Philadelphia. Experiencing a lot of frustration and miseries, he set up a printing house and got business success. He was not only hardworking, but also he had strong desire and passion for knowledge, and he saved time and money to read books and buy books. Besides, he gained moral perfection by his strict requests to himself. Also, he was interested in Public Affairs, politics and science.Franklin sought after moral perfection. And sometimes, as Benjamin’s thought, bor e him down more by Collins’s fluency than by the strength of the reasons. The governor SIR William Keith made an indelible impression on me. Franklin thought that the governor liked his company, and was willing to devote money to his setting up printing house. But a stationer said the governor was a complete rascal. Finally, we know that it was a habit the governor had acquired. He wished to please everybody; and , having little to give, he gave expectations. He was otherwise an ingenious, sensible man, a pretty good writer, and a good governor for the people, thoughnot for his constituents, the proprietaries, whose instructions he sometimes disregarded. Several of their best law were of his planning and passed during his administration. I hate that people. As far as I am concerned, a man should keep his word. If he can’t, he will lose people’s trust. And it shows how much more how much more profitable it is prudently to remove, than to resent ,return, and continue inimical proceedings.Franklin was interested in public affairs. The city watch was one of the first things that he conceived to want regulation. In the past, it was managed by the constables of the respective wards in turn; the constable warned a number of housekeepers to attend him for the night. Those who chose never to attend, paid him six shillings a year to be excused, which was supposed to be for hiring substitutes but was, in reality, much more than was necessary for that purpose and made the constableship aplace of profit. Franklin thought it’s unfair. Then he proposed as a more effectual watch, the hiring of proper men to serve constantly in that business; and as a more equitable way of supporting the charge, the levying a tax that should be proportioned to the property. The second great thing is that Franklin organized a fire company. Also he constituted some rules to make the organization running well. For example, the small fines that have been paid by members for absence at the monthly meetings have been applied to the purchase of fire engines, fire hooks, and other useful implements for each company. It’s also practicable at present. How smart Franklin was! Though eras are different, solution is always invariable. I have to praise Franklin’s wisdom. The most meaningful thing Franklin did was establishing the first library in the world. At the beginning, doing every thing would meet questions. So Franklin did. At first, Franklin advised, since their books were often referred to in their disquisitions upon the queries, it might be convenient to them to have books altogether where they met, that upon occasion they might consulted, and by thus clubbing their books to a common library, they should, while they liked to keep books together, have each of them the advantage of using the books of all the other members, which would be nearly as beneficial as if each owned the whole. Everybody agreed it. Though books had been of great use, some inconveniences occurring for want of due care of them, the collection, after about a year, was separated, and each took his books home again. Finally, Franklin set on foot his first project of a public nature, that for a subscription library. And with his friends’help, he established the first li brary, procured 50 subscribers of forty shillings each to begin with. This was themother of all the North American subscription libraries, now so numerous.I advice us read this book. That book takes a good example. Franklin is an almost perfect person. He has many virtues, like industry, sincerity, humility, frugality. I admire him very much. Besides, he is not only a successful business man, but also is a smart scientist. What’s more, he established the first library in the world. He is amazing. To sum up, The Autobiography Of Benjamin Franklin is a good book because of great Franklin. I will try my best to be a better person like him.。

Human nature is inherently good, pure as the dew of the clear stream.
A Book Report on the Autobiography of Benjamin FranklinI knew Benjamin Franklin when I was young and at that time ,he was an idol in my heart. So great was him that I could not afford to catch up with him. Then I entered the college, and my teacher strongly recommended Franklin to us.He told us if we did not read the …Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin‟,we would feel regretted after our graduation. So,I was determined to read it.And I first read …the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin‟when I was a sophomore and the first sight i saw it , I loved it . In the book, he showed us what his childhood was like and what he came to value as meaningful techniques of self-improvement. In a word, this autobiography showed us the whole legendary life of Franklin and introduced his start of success. What made me laugh was the publication of the autobiography ,which was an interesting story . Franklin actually said some times that he did not want the work to be made public. But some parts of the autobiography were published only a month after Franklin's death. And the other parts were published gradually. Before I read the book , I had known that Benjamin Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. What is more,he is usually believed as the revolutionary figure who led protests against the Stamp Act. Morever,he helped draft the Declaration of Independence and ended the American Revolution. But after I finished reading it,in my heart ,Franklin was an amiable person, though he did not grow up in a quite happy family .And now I will shortly introduce his life.In 1706 he was born in North America and there were 17 children in his family . His Father was involved in wax and soap as a businessman. Franklin entered the school for two years before dropping out of school because his family was quite poor. Then he had to work as an apprentice in his brother‟s printing shop. There is no denying that the apprentice days were very hard , but he took full advantage of apprenticeship leisure time to study hard, and read a lot of books in politics, science, history and literature. And then ,he became a politician, scientist, writer, publisher, inventor, diplomat, and philosopher.Maybe I should say he is a genius. Now let‟s come into the autobiography of this genius, and enjoy the prominent and ordinary life of the famous figure in the United States. The autobiography was written in three different times: 1771 in England, 1783-1783 in France, and 1788 in America. The first part was written in 1771,and he claimed that the main contents were family anecdotes, which were not important for others.During this part,he told us his simple life experiences and he mentioned that his family had been engaged in the iron industry for centuries. The second part was written in 1784, which was interrupted because of the revolutionary work and the author said he wrote it for the public. At first , he went to college, but he had to leave school because of poverty and he started to work. Then he wrote some poems .At that time he loved reading T he P ilgrim's P rogress. He also insisted that going on a diet could keep a cool head. Then he went to work as an apprentice in his brother‟s printing shop. Also, he listed the virtues he had developed and his life orders. The following lists are what Franklin thought he should have:1,Self-control. We should not eat too much and be drunken; 2, Silence. The speeches what we are talking about should be beneficial to all the people and we should avoid trifling conversations; 3, Life order. Everything should be done properly. 4, Determination; We should be determined to do the thing we love; 5, Thrift. Money must be used properly , in other words, we should avoid wasteness; 6 Diligence. Never waste time and try your best to save time to do the meaningful things. 7, Sincerity ;Never deceive others. What is more, the third part was written in 1788,which occupied most of the paper. At first , he said that he was proud of his modesty. In this part , Franklin introduced his job and some of his achievements. As a politician, he drafted the declaration of independence with Jefferson and led the independent revolution with Washington ; As a scientist, he revealed the lightning phenomenon by the "kite test", In addition, he invented the lightning rod, created new stove and glass instruments, which improved people's living standards. So ,he became the first scientist and inventor who was known all over the world in American history .After finishing reading it ,I kept searching on the Internet and I found a lot of "firsts" associated with the autobiography. It is considered the first popular self-help book ever published. It is the first and only work written in American before the 19th century .All of these facts can prove Franklin‟s greatness.Maybe someone will say that there are so many celebrities in the world, and Franklin is not the best one.Yes,he is not the best one ,but I should say that Franklin is unique because he owns a lot of excellent qualities. In the book , he shows us many good qualities that we should hav e.And in the following parts, I will show Franklin‟s good qualities.Firstly, in the book, franklin thought if a person who had enough virtues, then he could make it. With the book being widespreaded, his virtues also affected more and more people, especially the young people who had a lot of dreams. He made many virtues as a part of his character. They are temperance, silence, order, frugality, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquility, chastity, and humility. Many people think those virtus are too hard to observe all. However,In my opinion, the pursuit of more virtues is happy for us.Everyone of us can see that he had a good reputation and was successful in both business circles and political circles because of his nice qualities. This reminds me of a famous saying “one‟s personality determines one‟s destiny”. So, we should try our best to develop the qualities and it is highly possible that we could make a great success in the future.Secondly, the spirit of persistence in this book changed many young people‟s destiny. Throughout his autobiography, we can draw a clear picture of his image. Franklin was confident, creative, nice and courageous. In addition, he liked to learn in practice. He dared to escape to Philadelphia though his running away was illegal at that time. He tried his best to run a printer shop. Morever, his diligence in running business affects us in all sides. Franklin is an excellent model to us ,english majors, because he could master at least three foreign languages.and as is known to all, he was proficient in the use of French, Italian and Spanish by himself, while we just need to master one simple foreign language-English. So,over a long period of time , I feel ashamed and I have to admit that we have no excuse to claim that we could not learn English well.In the next part, I will show Franklin‟s aim of writing the a utobiography. As everyone knows, Benjamin Franklin wrote the work to tell his son about his life . Born into a modest Boston family, Franklin moved to Philadelphia in his late teens and eventually opened up his own newspaper. Needless to say, the autobiography tells us the major events of his life and many of his significant scientific and political ideas, but the work does not talk about the American Revolution, in which Franklin was a major participant, which expresses his modesty. I love the stories and folktales about him, mainly because of his modesty. I also love his life and his wonderful words and sayings. All of these encourage me to fight.I love the saying “Difficulties are temporary and v ictories belong to us finally.”We can realize that lots of life proverbs are from franklin‟s own life experiences. For us , campus students ,reading this book is not only for knowledge, but also to improve ourselves. What the book describes is a true expression of Franklin‟s life and tells us how to get everything we need, which inspires me a lot . He believed that reading was the key to success. In other words, books are invaluable . Books give us wisdom, strengthen our ability and let us control over our own lives. However, nowadays ,many people , especially the young are too impatient to read any book .We ,campus students , should learn from him.We should learn franklin‟s patience, confidence, and many other excellent qualities. Suddenly , his love of books reminds me of one thing. It‟s him ,Franklin, who established the public libraries, which benefited people from generation to generation. And there has been an discussion on whether Franklin's autobiography is good or not.To this, people‟s attitudes differ sharply. On one hand, Franklin's autobiography has received widespread praise, both for its historical value and its literary style. It is often considered the best one in history .For example,William Dean Howells in 1905 claimed that "Franklin's autobiography is one of the greatest autobiographies in literature and in history, and towers over other autobiographies as Franklin towered over other men." On the other hand, in Mark Twain's essay ,he said that "The Late Benjamin Franklin" provided a less exalted reaction. In addition,D. H. Lawrence wrote a notable invective against Franklin. He said Franklin was Middle-sized and sturdy .All in all ,different people have different evaluations because they have different positions. But the only thing we should do is to learn from him .In this work, Franklin's personality comes alive ,which presents a man whose greatness does keep him from being down-to-earth and approachable. The most important thing is that he could face up to mistakes and blunders which he had done in life. At last,he insisted that everyone could succeed if he was willing to go all out. After reading this book, I have a lot of feelings, now,I will show them to all of you. The first one is that I feel ashamed because I never focus on reading books and understanding myself.I used to believe that I am excellent enough and I do not need to learn from others, but now, I know I am foolish enough because I know too little. The second one is that we should pursue self-reliance and self-improvement.So, at any time, and anywhere, we needn‟t rely on others.Only by doing so can we walk out the first steps of our lives. In other words ,we should learn how to grow up by ourselves .The third one is that we should be bold in putting things into practice and blazing new trails. As I said before, Franklin invented a lot of things. So,we need to learn much from him.We should break the old way of thinking and look for a new way of thinking. The last one is that we should persist on doing the things what we want to do, no matter what great difficulties and obstacles we are facing, and only by doing so , can we succeed.Above all, we need to try our best to develop more qualities and make ourselves better. At last, as I mentioned above, the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is still worth reading and testing by heart in today‟s society. Although when he passed away about 200 years ago, there was not attracting attention words in his tombstone, just “Printer Franklin”.Last but not least ,Franklin described his hard work, learning career and unremitting struggle process in detail.Franklin used simple words to express striving ,success, goodness and other good virtues. It is perhaps because of that beauty that the autobiography has won Franklin everlasting reputation.Works cited and consulted.1,本杰明·富兰克林.《富兰克林自传》(The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin)扫描版[PDF].出版社: 生活·读书·新知三联书店.1985年05月.2./wiki/《富兰克林自传》3./view/405bc4758e9951e79b89272e.html4./s/blog_6abc8a7901012q66.html5./wxh/view.asp?nkey=cdf25069119570ea94c1。

读《The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin》有感

富兰克林自传读后感英文(一)In this clear, crisply written story of his life, Benjamin Franklin shows the reader what his childhood was like and what he came to value as meaningful and worthwhile techniques of communication, conduct, and self-improvement.A conscientious and serious youth, Franklin nevertheless left his boyhood town because he had impregnated a young lady. This early act of responsibility led him to pursue work that led him, in the coming years of the American Revolution, to be a strong advocate of political independence, even at the cost of war. Franklin became as fine a statesman as ever the United States was to produce. One of the country's founding fathers and a tireless champion of individual liberty, he also served as the American ambassador to France. He tells of how he learned the printing trade and how he established "Poor Richard's Almanac." He also shares with his readers his hopes for the free country that he helped to bring into being. The reader cannot help but admire this brilliant and brave founding father, as much for his humility as for his services tohis country and its future citizens.富兰克林自传读后感英文(二)In this term, I read the book The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, in the book, he showed us what his childhood was like and what he came to value as meaningful and worthwhile techniques of communication, conduct, and self-improvement.Franklin was not in favorable growth environment, and it should be a relatively plain appearance. In 1726 Franklin manages a printing factory, it was a great success which created a legend of the American dream, and he printed a huge impact "Pennsylvania". He invented the lightning rod, dual-purpose glasses, new stove and new lights. He pioneered the North American colonies the slogan that is "not join are the death" and drafted out the drafting of" Declaration of Independence "published in 1771 which changed the fate of countless people, and this book gave a description of its process of growth and exhorted the people to be positive.there are a lot of Proverbs in this book that Franklin felt in his life, reading this book is not only to feel the sentiment, but also to combine their training and humanity and then to improve ourselves, the book describes each chapter are a true portrayal of his life and tell us how to get all the perception which inspired me very muchIn his view, reading is the key to success. The people who can meet the 13 requirements can be called "saints" of the fact that people are rarely perfect, but it can pursue such a perfect people in the United States and Germany who have achieved great success. My goal is to cultivate these virtues in himself, so I think it is best not to try all at once, I think it is very difficult, or in a period of time focused on one thing for the good. I will cultivate this virtue into habit, and then in another culture. Also seen in the debate, Franklin was not humble when he was young, I often make that mistake, when there is no need to overwhelm people with very strong tone, although at the time it could have brought their own pleasure, but we need to understand other people's feelings.Franklin was revered as the father of America for his impressive image that can maintain a frugal life style of work for the public welfare and make immortal contributions, compared to my own and the majority of people we can knew how impetuous we are.I hope people will need: reticent, modest, frugal, more importance in the future to remove these bad habits, thosethings may be of great help to our grow th. What’s more, I think it is necessary for everyone to by this book, which can have a better understanding of education, public utilities, as well as a human city, country effects.Benjamin Franklin once said this sentence: "In my view, the things can bring happiness to mankind is not so much the great golden lucky, might as well say is the convenience all the time around." I think these words were very inspiring words, not only those rare good fortune, while ignoring the little things around; but also this sentence is also very good explain for Franklin's invention of those who benefit mankind and the reason for he became a inventor .Franklin can make great success in so many areas which have a huge impact on the world affairs, should be largely dependent on his habits, very sorry I could not see his biography later life, perhaps he's more interested in some of my later life, in fact, people often like to see a brilliant side. After reading Franklin's autobiography, a deep sense Ireceived is that people cannot be conquered by inertia, cannot be the original self-restraint. T o move forward to what we should aim at.

Benjamin Franklin's autobiography is widely regarded as one of the greatest works of American literature and a timeless source of wisdom and inspiration. Franklin's writing style is simple, clear, and engaging, making it accessible to readers of all ages and backgrounds. He uses vivid anecdotes, witty observations, and practical advice to convey his life lessons and insights into human nature. As I embarked on my own journey of reading Franklin's autobiography, I was immediately struck by his remarkable self-awareness and honesty. He candidly recounts his strengths and weaknesses, his successes and failures, without shying away from his own shortcomings. This vulnerability allows readers to connect with Franklin on a personal level and to see him as a flawed but relatable human being. One of the most significant lessons I learned from Franklin's autobiography is the importance of perseverance. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks throughout his life, Franklin never gave up on his dreams. He constantly sought opportunities for self-improvement and continued to learn and grow until the very end. His steadfast determination serves as a powerful reminder that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.Franklin also emphasized the value of frugality and financial independence. He believed that by living below his means and saving diligently, he could secure his future and maintain his freedom of action. His advice on money management remains relevant today, particularly in a world where consumerism and debt are rampant.Beyond his practical advice, Franklin's autobiography is also a valuable source of philosophical insights. He explores the nature of virtue, the importance of a balanced life, and the power of self-discipline. His writings on morality and ethics can help readers navigate the complexities of human behavior and make choices that alignwith their values. As I finished the last pages of Franklin's autobiography, I felt a profound sense of gratitude for his willingness to share his life experiences and wisdom. His words have left a lasting impact on me, inspiring me tolive a life of purpose, perseverance, and integrity. Ihighly recommend this book to anyone seeking inspiration, guidance, or simply a deeper understanding of the human condition.
