"But that's going to take us some time."Smart phones have overtaken(赶上)desktop computers as the primary means of accessing the Internet for most Chinese, according to data from the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC).CNNIC data indicates that 388 million Chinese regularly surfed the Internet via their mobile phones at the e of June.Apple has 390 retail stores around the world. But you don't do this.So instead you use the s familiar words for every site – your dog's name, the name of your street – with occasional ingenious(灵巧的) permutations(排列), such as adding "123" at the end. Or maybe you do try to follow the rules, in which case you're p constantly getting locked (卡住)out of your bank account or trying to remember the answers to various absurd(荒谬的)security questions. ("What was your favourite sport as a child?") And things are getting w : these days, you find yourself forced to choose passwords with both upper- and lower-case letters(大小写字母), and how can normal human being remember multiple combinations of those? Not you, that's for sure. One reason not to feel too guilty(内疚的)about your bad password behaviour is that it seems to be almost universal. Last month, an analysis of leaked pin numbers (泄露密码)revealed that about one in 10 of us uses "1234"; a recent security breach at Yahoo s that thousands of users' passwords were either "password", "welcome", "123456" or "ninja".This is where the length of your password makes an almost unbelievable d . For a hacker with the computing power to make 1,000 guesses per second, a five-letter, purely random, all-lower-case password, such as "fpqzy", would take three and three-quarter hours to crack(打开). Increase the number of letters to 20 and the cracking t increases, just a little bit: it's 6.5 thousand trillion centuries. The least hackable password, then, would be a long string of c random letters, numbers, spaces and symbols – but you'd never remember it. However, because length matters(要紧)so much, the surprising truth is that a longish(稍长的) string of random English words, all in lower case – say, "awoken wheels angling(钓鱼)ostrich" – is actually much more secure than a s password that follows your bank's annoying rules, such as "wq89453".One day, we may not have to worry about a of this: there are innovations(创新)in development that might replace passwords entirely. Touchscreens could be configured(安装)to detect subtle aspects of your interactions with your computer – the distances between your fingers, the speeds at which you tap and scroll.答案each same probably worse showed difference time completely shorter any3Next time you get your debit card(借记卡)out, you might want to use it to buy some hand wash.A study has found that n one in 10 bank cards contains faecal(粪便的)matter. Cash is little better with one in seven bank notes containing high levels ofbacteria similar to that found in a dirty toilet bowl. The research, carried out at Queen Mary, University of London, showed our hands are therefore dirtier than we might t .26 percent of hands sampled showed traces of faecal contamination (污染)including bacteria such as E.coli, the study f .And we may be making ourselves ill as a result. A further survey of the 272 participants revealed only 39 percent washed their hands b eating. The vast majority (91 percent) of respondents(应答者)also stated that they washed their hands after using the toilet, although the levels of faecal organisms contaminating the cards and currency suggested otherwise(另一面), researchers said.Washing hands with soap can r diarrhoeal(腹泻的)infections by up to 42 percent but only 69 percent of people reported doing this whenever possible.Dr Ron Cutler, who led the research at Queen Mary, said: 'Our analysis revealed (显示)that by handling cards and money each day we are coming into contact with some potential pathogens (病原体)revealing faecal contamination including E. coli and Staphylococci.'People may tell us they wash their hands but the research shows us d , and highlights just how easily transferable(可转移的)these pathogens are, surviving on our money and cards.'Dr Val Curtis said: 'Our research shows just how important handwashing is - the surprising levels of contamination that we found on everyday objects is a sign that people are forgetting to wash their hands after the toilet, one of the key m for infection(感染)prevention.''We hope this study makes people think t and encourages people to wash their hands after going to the toilet and before eating.'答案nearly think found before reduce different moments twice4Just A Little SmileMike was walking home from school one day when he noticed a boy ahead of him had tripped and dropped all of the books he was c , along with two sweaters, a baseball bat, a glove and a tape recorder. Mike knelt(跪下)down and helped the boy p up the scattered articles. Since they were going the same way, he helped to carry part of the burden. As they walked, Mike discovered the boy's name was James, that he loved video games, baseballand history, and that he was having lots of t with his other subjects and that he had just broken up with his girlfriend. They arrived at James' home first, and Mike was invited in for a Coke and to watch some television. The afternoon passed pleasantly with a few laughs and some shared small talk, then Mike went home. They continued to see each other around school, had lunch t once or twice, then both graduated from junior high school. They ended up in the same high school where they had brief contacts over the years. Finally the long awaited senior year came and three weeks before graduation, James asked Mike if they coud talk.James reminded him of the day years ago when they first met. "Did you ever w why I was carrying so many things?" asked James. "You see, I cleaned out my locker because I didn't want to leave a mess for anyone e . I stored away some of my mother's sleeping pills. I was going home to commit suicide(自杀). But after we spent some time talking and laughing, I realized that if I k myself, I would have missed that time and so many others might follow. So you see, Mike, when you picked up those books that day, you did a lot more for me. You saved my life."答案carrying pick trouble together wonder else killed5Evolution(进化)has changed our bodies and f over thousands of years — and it’s still happening. Here’s how leading anatomical(解剖学的)experts predict our descendants(后裔)will differ physically from us in 1,000 years from now. We’ll be taller at 6-7 feet b of improved nutrition and medical science. Osteopath Garry Trainer, from north London, says: “The average American is about one inch taller than in 1960.”Our intestines (肠)will get shorter so we don’t absorb as much fat and sugar — a natural w of avoiding obesity(肥胖), says dentist Dr Philip Stemmer. If male fertility(生育能力)declines(下降)further, there will be smaller testicles(睾丸).Our most used extremities(四肢)will change dramatically. Arms and fingers get longer to reduce the need to reach too far and nerve endings in hands and fingers will increase because of the greater use of devices such as iPhones that n complex eye-hand coordination. We’ll have smaller brains, maybe because so much memorising and thinking is done by our computers. “Science fiction images show humans of the future with huge brains but big brains are not necessarily the best,” says Chris Stringer, from the Natural History Museum. There will be large eyes to compensate(弥补)for smaller mouths. Cary Cooper of Lancaster University, explains: “Communication will rely on facial expressions and eye movements.”Dentist Dr Stemmer also thinks there could be fewer teeth as s food needs less chewing and biting. He says: “We could even get our nutrition from liquids or pills in the future, which could mean less teeth and receded jaws.”Expect people to have quadruple(四倍)chins (下巴). “Our bodies were designed for eating less and using more energy than a m lifestyle requires,” says Rajiv Grover, a consultant plastic surgeon. We can expect other dramatic changes too.Everyone will have the same s of noses because climate is having less influence on broad or narrow hooters thanks to air conditioning and central heating.Central heating and warm clothing m we’ll be less hairy but there’ll be more wrinkles(皱纹)as a result of peering at our electronic devices. We could end up with saggy(下垂的)turkey necks too because extra sun will cause loose skin and baggy(膨胀的)eyelids.

My father was at home studying English at that time. (2)He wants to i__(2)__ his English. Last month he went to New York, U.S.A. He couldn't go anywhere alone because he didn't understand people there.
