To sum up,by the Silk Road , Han traded with the southeast area and other places in the world, spreading Chinese culture and influence of China.

A story

The Silk Road of Southwestern China has a legendary(传奇的) story behind. In 122 BC,Emperor Wudi sent Zhang Qian to the western regions . After returning home,he immediately told the Emperor that he saw the Sichuan bamboo canes and silk cloth in the north of Afghanistan [æf‘ɡæ nɪstæ n] which were sold from India,obviously,there must be a road on which the businessmen between India and sichuan used for folk trade.

After two routes above meeting at Dali,continuing stepping westward until to Burma.it’s the last part of The southwest silk road,which we called “Yong Chang Road”.

Another route’s destination is also Dali,but its starting point is in the south of Chengdu,and we named it “Ling Guan Road” .
And not only that , even today,this road is of great significance.During the Second World War ,the highway constructed along the southwest silk road which connected to India and Burma, became Chinese only international channel .Only by this road can we get in touch with foreign .It's undeniable [ˈ ʌndɪˈna ɪəbl] that the southwest silk road played an extremely important role in the war against the fascist.

Now,when a variety of convenient and fast roads have been built,many people choose to walk on the silk road of southwestern china,to experience the rough ancient road , feel the prosperous [ˈpr ɒspərəs] history,and enjoy the journey of peace.
