Unit 1 Go straight on

教学目标:

知识与技能:

1、能听懂会说单词词组 turn left、turn right、go straight on.;

2、能听懂单词live/ road/supermarket /next to/ excuse me;

3、能运用Excuse me, where’s...please向他人问路;同时,能够用 Go straight on./ Turn left. / Turn right.为他人指路。

过程与方法:让学生能在具体的问路情景中灵活运用所学句型询问路线并做简单的回答。

情感态度与价值观:

1、培养学生初步运用语言的能力。

2、培养学生助人为乐的情感。

教学重、难点

1、会用Excuse me, where’s...please?来问路;能听懂会说、理解并运用句子“Turn left.”, “Turn right.”和“Go straight on.”来指路。

2、go straight on、supermarket的正确发音;如何让学生清楚地辨认“Turn left.”, “Turn right.”

教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up and leading-in

1、Greeting

2、Chant:Traffic lights

Green light, green light, what do you say? I say: go go go. Yellow light, yellow light, what do you say? I say: stop stop stop. Red light, red light, what do you say? I say: wait wait wait.

3、Competition:

Divide the class into two groups, group A and group B. Choose two students to have a competition. I say lights, they say the words and do the actions.Who is right,the one can “go straight on” for one step.Lead into “go straight on”.

Step 2 Presentation

1、New words

1)Ask the students to show me their hands, learn the words “left”and “right”,and practise with a game.

2)Show a picture of “supermarket”.How can I drive a car to the supermarket.Learn “supermarket”、“turn left”、“turn right”。

2、Learn the text

1)Show a picture of a “dog”.

--What’s this? --It’s a dog.

--What’s its name? --Its name is Doudou.

--How is the dog? --It’s lost.

2)Watch the flash with following questions.

--Where does Doudou live at?

--It lives at No.2 Park Street.

--Where is No.2 Park Street?

--Turn left, go straight on, turn right. It’s next to a supermarket. And beside the cinema.

--Did Doudou find its home?

--Who help it find its home?

3)Watch carefully again and answer the questions.

4)Play a word game in PPT.

5)Watch the flash for the third time, pause after each sentence and have the students repeat the sentence. Then translate.

Step 3 Practice

1、Take out three maps, let the students talk about how to get to the destination. I ask three students to answer me with “turn left”、“turn right” and “go straight on”.

2、Explain “excuse me”.

3、Show the maps, let the students practice with their deskmates. Ask the students play their dialogues to all of the class. Step 4 Summing up

1.What did you learn today?

Directions:

A:Excuse me. Where’s the ..., please?

B:Go straight on.

Turn left.

Turn right.
