英语单词中的形近词就跟现实生活中的双胞胎一样,调皮起来真的是让人又爱又恨,在新SAT的语法考试中这些形近词时常出现,大大干扰了同学们答题的效率与准确率,今天就几个形近词给大家做分析,每组词后面还有相对应的OG官方样题,看完了做一下,检测一下是不是真的看懂了。
1. await VS wait
await vt.
意:If you await someone or something, you wait for them.
例:Very little was said as we awaited the arrival of the chairman.
wait vt./vi
意:You spend some time doing very little, because you cannot act until that thing happens or that person arrives.
例:I walk to a street corner and wait for the school bus.
While they await for service, patrons can enjoy coffee and snacks and mingle with their neighbors in need.(OG-2-41)
