Where you live

1.Which town or city do you live in?

1.I live in Shanghai with my parents. We moved to this lovely city three years ago. I enjoy living in

Shanghai and I have made some new friends here.

2.Shanghai is an international city with approximately 2400 million population. The city could

become very crowded especially on weekends and holidays. I feel annoyed when the city is crowded with people.

3.I plan to move to Qingdao where is a coastal city in the east of China. I have been to Qingdao last

year. The beautiful weather and delicious seafood attract my interests.

Tiredness

1. Unchanging daily routine is tiring. I would be bored with doing the same things everyday.

2. I would read some books or pursue my hobby.

3. I would talk to my friends because we have more common language. They can

understand my feelings better.

4.I would prefer not. Sometimes when I feel mentally tired I am mentally weak as well. I

would probably say something that I normally would not say, which can either hurt others or leak my personal information.

Rainy day

1.No, I don’t. I think rainy days are troublesome because you have to always bring an

umbrella with you. In addition, roads will be slippery so there will be more accidents and pedestrians may fall down if they walk at a high speed. In this case, I prefer sunny days when I can enjoy the sunshine.

2.It depends on where you live. In southern cities, it rains frequently. However, it is drierin

the north of China.

3.I will stay at home. I have to say it is a great feeling to sleep with the sound of rain. You

will feel relaxed and peaceful. I also like to read books and watch videos. If I have to go out, I will be very unhappy because rain may make my shoes wet and I hate such kind of feeling.

4.I will bring an umbrella with me. Wearing a raincoat is sweltering. However, I have to

admit that I do not have a good memory. I always lost umbrellas on buses, in school or in restaurants.

5.No, it will. Though I do not like rainy days, I will not have certain negative emotions just

because it is raining outside. I think it is meaningless to feel sad or down as you can not do anything to change it, so why not learn to accept the reality.

6.It depends. Some people will not be affected by the weather, while some people may feel

sad or down on rainy days. In this case, their behaviors may be different from usual. For example, one may burst into tears because of a movie that he or she will not cry at all on sunny days.

7.Yes, it does. I was born and raised in Shanghai, and it rains frequently. Especially during

the summer, the rain may last for 1 or 2 weeks. There are also lots of typhoons causing heavy rain and fierce wind.

8.Yes, I can. Actually, in July, a strong typhoon hit Shanghai, and it rained cats and dogs.

The weather was so terrible that it caused lots of accidents. The government asked us to stay in and to ensure that all the windows are closed.
