第一首

The day came slow till five o'clock

一天慢到五点

Then sprang before the Hills like hindered Rubies or the light

然后突然前山如受阻红宝石或光

A sudden musket spills

一种突然的步枪泄漏

The parple could not keep the East

紫忍不住东

The sunrise shook abroad like breaths of Topaz packed a Night 日出摇国外喜欢呼吸黄玉包装的夜晚

The lady just unrolled

那位女士只是展开

The happy winds Their Timbrels took

幸福的风鼓了他们

The birds in docile Rows

鸟儿在温顺的行

Arranged themselves around their prince

安排自己在他们的王子

The winds is prince of those

风是王子的

The orchard sparkled like a jew

果园闪闪发光，像一个犹太人

Now mighty it was to stay

现在，强大的是留下来

A guest in this stupendous place

一个客人在这广袤的地方

The parlor of the day.

客厅里的一天。

第二首There is no frigate like a book

没有一艘船能像一本书

To take us lands away

带我们远离陆地

Nor any coursers like a page of prancing poetry 也没有骏马，像一页欢跃的诗篇

This Tranverse may the poorest take

这种联系最穷的人也能走

Without oppress of toll

不必为代价

How frugal is the chariot

这是多么节俭的车

That bears the Human soul

以人类的灵魂.
