2.deteriorate v. 恶化

同义词：worsen, go downhill

His health has deteriorated.

3.deviate from v. 偏离

He deviated from the society by becoming a drug addict.

成为一个瘾君子让他脱离了社会。

Never stand aloof from the masses.

词义辨析：discern, discriminate, distinguish

discern: 语义较笼统，着重精深与准确的观察力，不一定有能力辨别关系密切的各项事物。

discriminate: 语气强，指从十分相似的事物中辨出差异，尤其把好坏区分开来。

distinguish: 普通用词，指辨别者的能力或实际观察到的区别，强调辨别所需的技巧。

They can discern me in spite of the fog.

虽然有雾，但他们能认得出我。

disperse my attention 分散我的注意力

词义辨析：scatter, disperse, spread, diffuse

scatter: 指人或物向四处散开，或把物随意撒开。

disperse: 多指把一群人或物等彻底驱散。

spread: 指一直延伸、蔓延，侧重遍及。

diffuse: 指光线、声音或气味等在空中传送或散布，强调覆盖面积与物质分布相对密度之间的关系。

The wind dispersed the fog.

风驱散了雾。

同义词：temperament

The child had a placid disposition.

这个孩子性情温和。

The reporter distorted the facts.

记者们歪曲了事实。

You have distorted my motives.

你曲解了我的动机。
