华电集团在陕西规划100万吨煤制芳烃项目

陕西省发改委公布消息,近日,对华电集团在陕西规划的煤制芳烃项目的预可研报告召开了专家审查会。
华电集团的煤制芳烃项目计划在陕北榆林地区的榆横煤化学工业区建设,先行建设万吨级中试装置,同时启动百万吨级工业项目。工业项目计划总投资285亿元,规模为300万吨煤制甲醇和100万吨芳烃。华电将采用清华大学的流化床甲醇制芳烃(FMTA)技术,华陆工程公司将参与中试和工业放大。
亚化咨询认为,西部富煤地区的煤制芳烃项目,如果能和煤制乙二醇项目一体化发展,在同一个煤化工园区建设,并形成下游的精对苯二甲酸(PTA)和聚酯产业链,将更加具有优势。一方面,煤气化、空分和公用工程在同一个园区内建设,可节约成本,降低总投资;另一方面,相比与液体的芳烃和乙二醇而言,固态的聚酯产品运输更加便利,物流成本也更低。
亚化咨询的资料显示,国内从事甲醇制芳烃技术开发的机构主要有清华大学和中科院山西煤化所。在国内甲醇产能过剩的形式下,国内煤化工和甲醇生产企业应重点关注有竞争力的甲醇下游产品开发,包括甲醇制芳烃(MTA)和甲醇制烯烃(MTO)等。
第二届煤制烯烃技术经济研讨会将于2010年11月22-23日在北京召开。会议将对煤制芳烃与煤制烯烃工艺路线与的技术经济比较等展开探讨。

China Huadian to Invest Coal to Aromatics Project in Shaanxi

Recently, Shaanxi Provincial government released that China Huadian Group has planned a Coal to Aromatics (CTA) project in Shaanxi and the pre-feasibility study report has been assessed by a expert panel.
Huadian's CTA project will be located in Yuheng Coal Chemical Park, Yulin, Shaanxi
Province. Firstly, a pilot will be completed and then the large scale industrial project will be launched. With proposed total investment of RMB 28.5 billion, the project will include 3 Mt/a coal based methanol and 1 Mt aromatics by methanol to aromatics (MTA) route. Huadian will use Fluidized bed Methanol to Aromatics (FMTA) technology – sourced from Tsinghua University, and Hualu Engineering Company will participate in the pilot and industrial project as the contractor.
ASIACHEM considers that in the coal-rich China western region, the Coal-to-Aromatics will be more competitive if integrate with coal-to-MEG in the same coal chemical park, as the downstream PTA and PET chain can be developed. On the one hand, coal gasification, air separation and other utilities can be shared in the same park, which will be more cost effective then an isolated project; on the other hand, compared with the liquid aromatics and MEG, the solid PET products will be more convenient to transport.
According to ASIACHEM Consulting, the MTA developers in China mainly include Tsinghua University and Shanxi Insititute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICC-CAS). Currently, methanol is overcapacity in China, so the coal chemical investors should pay more attention to novel methanol derivatives, including both MTA and methanol to olefins (MTO).
The 2nd COAL-TO-OLEFINS CONFERENCE will be held in Nov. 22-23 2010 in Beijing. The competitiveness analysis and techno-economics of Coal-to-Aromatics and Coal-to-Olefins will be discussed in the upcoming event.
