Teaching aims:
1. Phrases: doing morning exercises, having…class, eating lunch,
reading a book, listening to music.
2. Sentences:What is Chenjie /she /he doing?
What are the students /they /you doing?
Importances & Difficulties:
1.Be able to master all the new phrases.
2.Be able to master the sentence stucture.
Teaching methods:
the communicative approach, the situational teaching method, the cooperative learning method Teaching aids:PPT, Micro video, exercise papers
Teaching procedures:
Step1 .Warm-up
Sing an English song Whant are you doing?
Step 2 . Lead-in
T: Today I will lead you to visit our school. Let’s see what students are doing?
Step 3 . Presentation
1.Show the micro video and lead out the new words ----doing morning exercises. Ask students to answer the question: What are the students doing? Write the phrase on the blackboard and lead them to read together. Then ask two groups to stand up and perform doing exercises, and ask the other four groups: “What are they doing?”“T hey are doing morning exercises.”And then exchange and do it again.
2. Learn eating lunch, reading a book, listening to music in the same way.
3. having…class.
T: Tell me. What are we doing now?
S: We are having English class.
Write have…class on the blackboard, and ask them “Can I just add ing after have?”
S: No.
T: Yes. I should cut off “e” and then add “ing” after “hav”. Read after me, having…class.

4.Game: Guess.
Show some pictures. Guess what they are doing.
5. Sentence structure
Ask students to talk about the sentence structure with your groupmates
After one minute, ask one student to conclude.

1.Show a picture. Make a dialogue with your partner.
2.Ask some pairs to show.
3.Make your own dialogue. Make a new dialgue with your groupmates.
4.Ask three groups to show.
Step 5. Exercises
Take out your paper, and do more exercises.
Step 6. Summary
1. words: doing morning exercises, having…class, eating lunch, reading a book, listening to music
(Read together.)
2. Sentense structure:
be(am, is, are) + v.ing 正在….
Homework:
1.Copy the new words three times.
2.Practice the dialogue with your friends after class.
