4Reading is the easiest skill. It is also the most widely found English language skill amongst Chinese student, Writing is a more active skill than reading. However it is still a little easier than speaking, as there is plenty of time to choose the right words look in the dictionary for help, and make corrections. Listening is the third most important language skill to learn. It is far more difficult to listen and understand spoken English than to read English in a book or in a letter. Speaking English may be the most difficult of the four language skills. It is an active skill, and requires the student to put words together into sentences without much time to prepare, and with no time for correction, yet it is the most exciting skill to have, as it opens up wonderful channels of communication with people of others cultures and countries. But this is just what we lack.More often than not I found some of the students who get high marks in their exams showed an inability to communicate with people in English. And this enabled me to understand deeper what my first English teacher has always emphasized: listening and speaking keeping ahead; reading and writing following up. I believe this is the rule of learning a language because we learn a certain language to communicate. As weconquered the most difficult parts: listening and speaking, we would easily master the writing and reading skills. 5Since the theme of this year’s competition was “globalization”, we have enjoyed various visions from contestants on thinking of what we young people should do to meet the challenges and the opportunities posed by globalization. But there’s one thing for sure: good English and communication skills are the gateway to the world arena. I hope some of man and woman in China who have conquered English to hold hands together to build up the bridge between China and the rest of the world with the world’s most widely used language! 6Then how can we make it? I have seen lots of diligent students in the early morning reading aloud their English texts without paying any attention to their nearly unacceptable pronunciation. I feel sorry for those students because their hard work deserves a much better English level if they improve their method of learning.I found that my way of learning English that I formed from middle school still works today. By listening to tapes and imitating the speakers one can improve his pronunciation within a short time. By reciting classic essays one can enrich their language as well as enlarge their vocabulary. As a non-English major, I like to set aside a certain period of time for English learning everyday, usually an hour or at least half an hour. I utilize this precious time by listening to tapes and imitating their content and then reciting the short passages I like. To be frank, “Crazy English” has always been my favorite. This is definitely not intended to flatter. Instead of dividing my attention between too many materials, I’d rather concentrate on one particular resource at a time such as CE, not onlybecause of its abundant content and native English, but also because of the benefits it has brought to me through intensive reading, listening and reciting, I believe that studying English by using these intensive methods will help you to get twice the result with half the effort. 7Three mirrors reflect the way I learn English After I came back from the “21st century-Ericsson cup”7th national English Speaking competition with the award of the “Most Promising Speaker”, people kept asking me the same question over and over again. “How did you learn English, especially as a Non-English major?” Actually I believe that a hundred people would have a hundred of ways to learn English well. However, I would like to share my personal experience of English learning with those who have the enthusiasm for improve their English. Since I have set up three mirrors in my prepared speech in hoping that they would guide our young generation on the way to globalization, I would like to maintain three mirrors here to reflect how I learned English. The first mirror, I assume, should reflect a steady foundation. This involves my first few years of English learning, which I consider as the key factor of all my achievements in the years to follow. At that time I entered the middle school attached to Xi’an Jiaoton University, I could only say my ABCs while others in my class could at least communicate in simple English. All the tales about the frightfulness of learning English then popped up in my mind and made me feel scared. Fortunately my first English teacher was very experienced in enlightening her students on English learning. She was a kind woman with a charming smile. But her homework assignments were not easy task: They required us to read after the tape for 20 times and recite the whole text. So it was quite natural that most of my classmates only recited the short essay within a short time and then went to play. But my fear of not being able to say a single word, made me sit down and immerse myself in what the teacher had asked me to do. 8Before every English class we would have an on duty report to let the students say something according to what they had learned .My first presentation in class was to recite a dialogue. But to my great surprise, my teacher praised me for my pronunciation. I tittered because I had imitated the readers in the tape for at least 20 times until finally I couldn’t find any differences between our pronunciations. And I did not realize that this little prize given by my teacher began to influence my English learning magically.I believe the first three years of English learning guaranteed the possibility of my further achievements because by means of imitation I built a foundation of good pronunciation and by means of reciting I restored the basic element of English language. On the whole, I would like to show my sincere thanks to my first English teachers. Yu Zhiling, who is now still caring for my growth. The second mirror I would like to mention here reflects an effective way of English learning. I still stick to my point of view that different people have different techniques to learn English well. But there are some methods that seem to be obviously ineffective.Let’s first have a look at the four important skills for students to master: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I have placed them in order of difficulty. 9As we all know the english language more and more important inour daily study and life。

Good morningeveningafternoon, ladies and gentlemen :Today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.First, i'd like to define the word"talent" in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say, they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ?because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more and more people go to university, more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return, talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games……To sum up, talents will play a more and more impoetant role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all, thank you.
1I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life. Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up. We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person.University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it! 2I received a devastating blow to my self-confidence in thefirst interview of my college years. I applied to be a host in our Student Acting Troupe and felt confident that I would be accepted. But one of the panel members told me: "You seem inadequate and you are a little vertically-challenged." My life has never been the same since. I used bigger heels to complement my height and psychological maneuvers and tricks to hide my lack of confidence. But no matter how hard I tried to look the part, there was still something missing. As president of English Club, I organized the rehearsal of Snow White for an English party. Unfortunately, we could not find an actor to be the last dwarf. It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. To my great surprise and delight, once on stage, I was totally absorbed in the performance and my humorous nature was put to full use. As the dwarf, I was a big hit.Yes, each of us is only one among millions of others, but each of us is an individual and each of us is unique. Cultivating our individuality will transform our lives, making of them a kaleidoscope of new colors and textures.A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. I would contribute my individual and unique colors to create a more diverse universe. Please, be yourself. 3My fellow and my friends;Once I read a piece of news report. It says, "A middle school student in aremote mountainous area was doing his revision at home one day. His brother, whose age excelled school age,was playing and drawing on the paper with hiselder brother's pencil at his side. Suddenly the younger brother raised his headthoughtfully, his little eyes were winking, and said to his brother seriously,"When will it thirty-second,brother?" The elder brother looked at his innocentyounger brother and said with a smile, "What are you going to do on thatthirty-second?" "Papa promised me to send me to school," said his youngerbrother. His brother, the middle school student looked at his lovely brother andhis heart seemed to be stitched with needles. My God! My parents were workingday and night in order to be able to afford my schooling. They were exhausted. How could they afford my younger brother's schooling? Oh, thirty-second ...My dear friends, hearing this, didn't you feel sorry for them? We share thesame native land, the same blue sky under the sun. Why cannot they be givenlesson at school, sitting in the bright and big classroom? We are used to sayingthat education goes first before vitalizing the country. But now the country'sfiscal solvency and material resources are not ample enough. What should we do?It requires that we should be of one heart and exert our efforts for ourmotherland.学生英语演讲稿篇4Dear teachers and students: Good morning! Students may think, a drop of water is insignificant. However, I recently saw a set of data is very enlightening: It has been dating, if the "drip" constant flow can be set in 1 hour to 3.6 kg of water, set within 1 month to 2.6 tons of water. The amount of water, enough to give a person a half a year living expenses. Visible, bit by bit to waste water should not be taken. Water on Earth and the planet's inhabitants have a huge impact, both in the family, factory, or in rural areas, water is indispensable people. More than two-thirds of the human body is water, we drink every day, sweating and breathing when used to supplement the loss of water to stay healthy. A person over four days without water can not exist, and a ton of water a year just to maintain healthy life. I suddenly came to realize that there are words of philosopher said: If we do not conserve water, the world's last drop of water is our human tears! As a primary school, although we can not conserve water to make earth-shattering event, but we can begin to act. For example, see someone wasting water, we can actively promote water conservation significance; saw some in the dripping faucet, we can readily go off the past; do re-use of water resources to collect their washing water, laundry water flush toilets. Been made to statistics, China's 1.3 billion people if everyone saves a drop of water, will save 45 tons of water! How amazing data, ah, think of the motherland and the surging Yangtze River Yellow River, was not one drop of water from the pool made of it?Fellow students, let us join hands, from ourselves and from now, carrying forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation-going to save every drop of water, to build good quality homes to our efforts to it!学生英语演讲稿篇6I’m very glad to make a speech here! I’d like to tell you something about water saving. As we know, nearly 75% of the Earth surface is covered with water, But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water or salt water. Man can only drink and use the rest 3%, but most of it has been polluted. There are more than 400 cities poor with water in China.Millions of people don’t have enough water for drinking, many of them die because of lack of water . There are many big factories in China. They put the dirty and poisonous water in the river, such as the Yellow River, the Chang Jiang River, the Yangtze River and so on. It pollutes the river and makes people have many strange diseases. Many people don’t know how important the water is. They often think: I pay for the water I used, it’s none of others business. How foolish and how selfish the thought is. They don’t turn off the tap when they finish washing their hands in the public toilet because the water is free-paying. Most of the students in the university use big basins of water to wash fruits . Because they have paid a lot for the room fee. Some of the middle school students use the water for drinking to play jokes on others just for fun. But who has thought about our life in the future? Who has thought about the people without water? Who has thought about the future of the world? Why don’t people know how to save it until we have lost it? Why don’t people know how important the water is until the last drop of water beco mes our tears? Let’s save the water, for you, for me , for the future.Reuse the water which you wash the fruits to clean the toilets. Reuse the water which you wash your face to clean the floor and furniture. Reuse the water which you wash the rice to water the flowers. I think it’s the good way to save water. It not only saves water but also saves money. The water is just like our blood. To save water is to save our lives. Let’s keep every drop of water, for the people who don’t have enough water for drinking, for ourselves, for our children and children’s children。

Good morning everyone,I am honored to stand here today and speak to you about my passion – environmental conservation. As we all know, the planet we live on is facing tremendous challenges, from climate change to loss of biodiversity and environmental pollution. But I believe that it is not too late to turn things around, and that each and every one of us has a role to play in creating a more sustainable and livable future. To begin with, we need to recognize the interdependence of all living beings, and the delicate balance that exists in our ecosystems. We cannot continue to exploit natural resources without regard for the long-term consequences, or to pollute our air and water without taking responsibility for the harms we cause. As individuals, we can make a difference by reducing our own carbon footprint, by recycling and conserving resources, and by supporting policies and practices that protect the environment. But we also need to work together, as communities, businesses, and governments, to address the systemic causes of environmental degradation. This means investing in renewable energy, protecting wildlife habitats, and reducing the use of harmful chemicals in agriculture and industry. It means promoting sustainable tourism, designing cities with green spaces and public transportation, and promoting education and awareness about environmental issues. Most importantly, it means recognizing that environmental conservation is not a luxury or an afterthought, but a fundamental aspect of our survival and well-being. We cannot thrive on a planet that is dying, and we cannot achieve social justice and equity without addressing the environmental crises that disproportionately affect the most vulnerable communities. We must prioritize environmental conservation as a core value in our economy, our politics, and our daily lives. In closing, I urge everyone here today to take action in support of environmental conservation. Whether it is by recycling a bottle, volunteering at a local park, or advocating for policy change, every action counts. We owe it to ourselves, to future generations, and to the planet we call home. Thank you.2. Ladies and gentlemen,It is an honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to speak to you today about such an important topic: diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As we all know, a diverse workforce is not only a moral imperative, but also a business imperative. Studies have shown that diverse teams outperform homogenous ones, and that companies with a diverse workforce are more innovative, adaptable, and profitable. But what does diversity and inclusion in the workplace actually mean? It goes beyond simply hiring people of different races, gender identities, and backgrounds. It means creating a workenvironment that is safe, respectful, and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their identity or background. It means valuing and respecting the unique perspectives, skills, and experiences that each person brings to the table.Unfortunately, we still have a long way to go before we can say that diversity and inclusion are the norm in the workplace. Too often, individuals from underrepresented groups face obstacles in recruitment, retention, and promotion, due to bias, discrimination, and lack of access to opportunities. This not only harms those individuals, but also limits the potential of the entire organization to achieve its goals and mission. So, what can we do to promote diversity and inclusion in our own workplaces? I believe that there are several strategies that can make a difference. First, we need to acknowledge and address implicit bias. This means recognizing the ways in which our own unconscious biases may affect our decisions, and taking steps to mitigate their impact. It also means increasing our own cultural competence, by learning about different cultures, identities, and experiences.Secondly, we need to ensure that our recruitment and hiring processes are fair and inclusive. This means seeking out diverse candidates, widening the pool of applicants, and using objective criteria to assess qualifications. It also means providing support and training to new hires, to ensure that they feel valued and included from the start. Finally, we need to create a workplace culture that is supportive ofdiversity and inclusion. This means providing opportunities for all employees to learn, grow, and advance, regardless of their background or identity. It means fostering a sense of belonging and community, and encouraging open communication and dialogue. And it means holding ourselves and each other accountable for creating a workplace that reflects our values of respect, equality, and justice. In conclusion, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace is not only the right thing to do, but also the smart thing to do. By creating a work environment that welcomes and values diversity, we can unlock the full potential of our workforce, and achieve greater innovation, productivity, and success. So let us commit ourselves to this cause, and work together to build a future in which diversity and inclusion are not just buzzwords, but a reality. Thank you.3. Dear friends,Today, I want to talk to you about a topic that is incredibly close to my heart: mental health. Mental health is an issue that affects us all, whether directly or indirectly. It is estimated that one in four people will experience mental health problems at some point in their lives, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated this trend, with rates of depression, anxiety, and stress on the rise around the world. The reasons for this are complex and varied. They include socialand economic inequality, discrimination and stigma, trauma and abuse, and pressures from work, school, and family. But whatever the cause, the impact on individuals and society is profound. Mental health problems can lead to reduced quality of life, impaired relationships, and even suicide. They can also have negative effects on physical health, productivity, and social cohesion. So, what can we do to promote mental health and well-being, both for ourselves and for those around us? First and foremost, we need to recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that seeking help for mental health problems is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. We need to break down the barriers of shame and silence that prevent people from seeking support, and create a culture of openness, acceptance, and empathy.Secondly, we need to promote mental health literacy, by increasing awareness and understanding of mental health issues, and by providing education and training to help individuals and communities recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, and know how to respond. We also need to ensure that mental health services are accessible, affordable, and effective, and that they are integrated with other health and social services. Finally, we need to work together, across sectors and disciplines,to address the root causes of mental health problems, and to create environments and policies that support mental health and well-being. This means investing in social determinants of health, such as housing, education, and employment, and promoting policies that reduce inequality and discrimination. It means providingadequate resources for mental health research, prevention, and treatment, and involving people with lived experience in all aspects of mental health care.In conclusion, mental health is a fundamental aspect of human well-being and dignity, and it is our collective responsibility to promote it. Let us work together to build a future in which mental health is valued, respected, and prioritized, and in which everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Thank you.4. Dear fellow citizens,As we approach the next election, it is important that we reflect on the current state of our democracy, and consider the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Democracy is not a static or fixed system, but a dynamic process that requires constant vigilance and engagement from all of us. We must recognize that democracy is not just a set of institutions and procedures, but a way of life, based on shared values of freedom, equality, and justice. Unfortunately, our democracy is facing a number of serious threats today. We are witnessing the erosion of democratic norms and values, the rise of authoritarianism and populism, and the delegitimization of the institutions and principles that underpin our democracy. We are also facing significant social and economic challenges, from inequality and polarization to racism and climate change, that require collective action and political will to address. But despite these challenges, I believe that there is reason for hope.I believe that we can strengthen our democracy and build a better future, by working together and engaging in meaningful dialogue and debate. I believe that we can address the root causes of social and economic inequality, and create a more just and equitable society. And I believe that we can recommit ourselves to the values of democracy, by defending the rule of law, promoting civil discourse, and respecting the rights of all individuals. To achieve these goals, we must begin by engaging in open and honest dialogue, across political and ideological divides. We must listen to each other's perspectives, and seek common ground and solutions that reflect the diversity and complexity of our society. We must also work to increase democratic participation and engagement, by promoting voter registration, expanding access to voting, and supporting civic education and awareness. We must also hold our elected officials accountable to the principles and values of democracy, and demand transparency, honesty, and integrity in governance. We must resist attempts to undermine the rule of law, and protect the independence and integrity of our institutions, from the judiciary to the media to the civil service. And we must promote policies and practices that promote social and economic equity, and ensure that all individuals have the opportunity to participate fully in our democracy. In closing, I urge all of us to recommit ourselves to the values and principles of democracy, and to work together to create a future that is just, equitable, and democratic. We owe it to ourselves, to our children, and to the generations that will follow, to protect andstrengthen this precious and fragile system. Let us honor the memory of those who fought for democracy before us, by continuing their work, and ensuring that democracy thrives for generations to come. Thank you.5. Dear graduates,As you stand here today, on the cusp of a new chapter in your lives, I want to reflect on the importance of perseverance and resilience. Between the challenges of the past year and the uncertainties of the future, it is easy to feel discouraged, overwhelmed, or lost. But it is precisely in these moments of difficulty and adversity that our true strength and character are revealed.Perseverance is not just about gritting your teeth and pushing through tough times, although that is certainly part of it. Perseverance is about having a clear sense of purpose, and a deep commitment to your goals, even when the road is rocky or the destination seems far away. It means being flexible and adaptable to change, and being willing to learn and grow from setbacks and failures.Resilience is not just about bouncing back from adversity, although that is certainly part of it. Resilience is about having a strong sense of self, and a deep belief in your own worth and potential, even in the face of challenges or criticism. It means cultivating positive relationships and support networks, and drawing on your strengths and resources to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.Together, perseverance and resilience are the foundation of success and fulfillment. They enable us to overcome the obstacles that stand in our way, and to achieve our dreams and aspirations. But they are not just individual traits – they are also collective values, that we can cultivate and support in each other, as friends, family members, colleagues, and members of a larger community. As you move forward to the next phase of your lives, I encourage you to reflect on your own values, goals, and aspirations, and to cultivate your own sense of perseverance and resilience. Surround yourself with people who support and challenge you, and seek out opportunities to learn and grow. And remember that setbacks are not the end of the road – they are just temporary detours on the journey of life.In closing, I want to congratulate you on your achievements, and to wish you all the best in your future endeavors. May you continue to persevere and thrive, and may you make a positive difference in the world. Thank you.。

It is spoken all over the world. But a few students don’t learn English well. So they want to drop English. I suggest that you shouldn’t give up English, because English is used in many countries as the first or second language. Most business letters are written in English. It is helpful for youto work in the future. If you don’t know English, you will fall behind others in future. How can you learn English well First, you should persevere. It’s true that English is sometimes really very difficult for us. But if you have a good method of learning, I think you will be good at it. Both English listening and speaking are the most difficult for almost every beginner. Sometimes, it seems impossible to learn. But I thinkif you do a lot of practice, you will make progress, you should speak more and listen more often. You’d better speak English with your classmates as often as possible not only in class but also out of class. I advise you to buy a radio, so you can listen to some English programmes over the radio. Then you will travel in the world of English. If you do that, you’ll be able to learn English well easily, and you’ll like English very much.I hope all of you will become good at English step by step. And you can study English in some advises:1. Listen to BBC news persistently to improve your English hearing.2. Read more and more English books, especially those written by English native speakers to e_pand your vocabulary as well as readingcapability.3. Try to speak in English when it s need to get rid of shyness and your spoken English will improve greatly.4. Of course, to chat with native speakers, if possible, is a good method for learning English. Or you may chat with them on-line since you ve time to log onto the Internet.5. To watch English movies or TV plays is another option for learning English. 5Here are some tips which may help you to master the English Language!Speak without FearThe biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear. They worry that they won’t say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don’t talk at all. Don’t do this. The fastest way to learn anything is to do it – again and again until you get it right. Like anything, learning English requires practice. Don’t let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.Use all of your ResourcesEven if you study English at a language school it doesn’t mean you can’t learn outside of class. Using as many differ ent sources, methods and tools as possible, will allow you to learn faster. There are many different ways you can improve your English, so don’t limit yourself to only one or two. The internet is a fantastic resource for virtually anything, but for the language learner it s perfect.Surround Yourself with EnglishThe absolute best way to learn English is to surround yourself withit. Take notes in English, put English books around your room, listen to English language radio broadcasts, watch English news, movies and television. Speak English with your friends whenever you can. The more English material that you have around you, the faster you will learn and the more likely it is that you will begin “thinking in English.” .Listen to Native Speakers as Much as PossibleThere are some good English teachers that have had to learn English as a second language before they could teach it. However, there are several reasons why many of the best schools prefer to hire native English speakers. One of the reasons is that native speakers have a natural flow to their speech that students of English should try to imitate. The closer ESL / EFL students can get to this rhythm or flow, the more convincing and comfortable they will become.Watch English Films and TelevisionThis is not only a fun way to learn but it is also very effective. By watching English films (especially those with English subtitles) you can e_pand your vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors. If you listen to the news you can also hear different accents.Listen to English MusicMusic can be a very effective method of learning English. In fact, it is often used as a way of improving comprehension. The best way to learn though, is to get the lyrics (words) to the songs you are listening to and try to read them as the artist sings. There are several good internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time. And if you like to sing, fine.Study As Often As Possible!Only by studying things like grammar and vocabulary and doinge_ercises, can you really improve your knowledge of any language.Do E_ercises and Take TestsMany people think that e_ercises and tests aren t much fun. However, by completing e_ercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots ofe_ercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with. Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or si_ months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many e_ercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you ve learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English.Record YourselfNobody likes to hear their own voice on tape but like tests, it is good to compare your tapes from time to time. You may be so impressed with the progress you are making that you may not mind the sound of your voice as much.Listen to EnglishBy this, we mean, speak on the phone or listen to radio broadcasts, audiobooks or CDs in English. This is different than watching the television or films because you can’t see the person that is speaking to you. Many learners of English say that speaking on the phone is one of the most difficult things that they do and the only way to improve is to practice.FinallyHave fun!

1How to Be PopularMost people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to popularity? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. Its also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.

Confucius the famous educatorin ancient China also said: if I learn the Classical literature "Yi" from the age of 50 I would never make so many mistakes. To sum up Necessity of lifelong learning is mainly based on the following reasons: First of all the knowledge of modern society changes so quickly if not to learn new knowledge in time you will soon fall behind the times. For example using the mobile Internet technology we can using a mobile phone to book a taxi pay various fees buy all kinds of goods etc. if a person may not grasp the knowledge especially senior people they will not use the convenience brought by Internet.Secondly diligent in thinking can effectively prevent the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease. This conclusion has been verified in medicine. Finally a person who maintains the habit of lifelong learning can have a stronger advantage in occupation choice. Confucius, the famous educator in ancient China, also said: if I learn the Classical literature "Yi" from the age of 50, I would never make so many mistakes. To sum up, Necessity of lifelong learning is mainly based on the following reasons:First of all, the knowledge of modern society changes so quickly, if not to learn new knowledge in time you will soon fall behind the times. For example, using the mobile Internet technology, we can using a mobile phone to book a taxi, pay various fees, buy all kinds of goods etc. if a person may not grasp the knowledge, especially senior people ,they will not use the convenience brought by Internet.Secondly, diligent in thinking can effectively prevent the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease. This conclusion has been verified in medicine. Finally, a person who maintains the habit of lifelonglearning, can have a stronger advantage in occupation choice. This is not only good for the person, but also for the country and the society. Some people complain that, they have too much work and have no time to read a book usually. It is my great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on the topic of "Embracing Challenges and Seizing Opportunities: A Journey of Growth in University Life." As we all know, university is a crucial phase in our lives where we not only gain knowledge but also grow as individuals. In this speech, I will discuss the importance of embracing challenges, the opportunities that lie ahead, and how we can maximize our growth during our university years.Firstly, embracing challenges is vital in our university life. Challenges come in various forms, such as academic pressure, social interactions, and personal growth. Without challenges, we would never step out of our comfort zones and explore our full potential. As students, we must be willing to face these challenges head-on and learn from them.Academic pressure is a common challenge faced by many students. It is essential to recognize that university is not just about acquiring knowledge but also about developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. To overcome this challenge, we should develop effective study habits, seek help from professors and peers, and stay focused on our goals. University is a melting pot of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and personalities. It is crucial to be open-minded and respectful towards others. By engaging in extracurricular activities, joining clubs, and participating in group projects, we can broaden our social circle and learn to collaborate with different people. This will not only enhance our communication skillsbut also help us build lasting friendships and professional networks.Personal growth is another critical challenge that we must embrace. University is a time for self-discovery and self-improvement. We should take advantage of the opportunities available to us, such asparticipating in internships, attending workshops, and volunteering. These experiences will help us develop essential life skills, such as leadership, teamwork, and adaptability.Secondly, there are numerous opportunities waiting for us in university life. These opportunities can shape our future and help us achieve our dreams. Here are some of the key opportunities that we should seize:1. 英语学习演讲稿3篇【英语学习演讲稿】good afternoon ,everybody! i’m very happy to stand here ,are you happy?
但是我相信大家一定能成功的走完这一段路,而且会走的更远!have you been frustrated about english ? have you been sad because of your terrible grades? have you made a decision to study english ? if your answer is yes ,all right, congratulation on the first step that you go. 的确啊,提到这个问题,我也能理解大家的心情,看着那么多的单词,一篇篇的英语课文,的确是很难,难道我们真的会被它难住吗?yes or no ? no!!ok,very good, you must believe you are 1/ 11the best !
毕竟 no pains, no gains。
(2) | in 4/ 11the modern society study english is becoming more importantand popular. but when i was young, i didn’t know of this and prefer to play outside rather than learn english. but my mother said :“engli sh is the necessary tools to talk with foreigners, so you should study in an english class. believe yourself, you can certainly study english well!”finally i agreed my mom’s opinion and began to study ladder english when i was five.at the beginning i was happy to study, because it was fun in the english class. we played games, and only studied five words, sentence a time. we also learned to sing a lot of english songs. in this studying environment, i was interested in english for the first time.when i was in grade two, my mother thought that i should study english formally, so she let me study in the class of teacher ye of young palace of beijing. in her class i began to learn the new concept english and touched the grammar for the first time. teacher ye let us practice the oral english, listening and writing. although i should remember much more words than before and had to practice listening and writing every day, and must take the crowded bus to school for twohours every week, i was very happy because i could learn much 5/ 11knowledge that not taught in school.with my mother and teacher’s encouragement and teaching, i studied very hard and won many prize in the competition. when i was in grade four, i passed pets 1 with the score of 88 of writing, and 5 of oral english, and i passed pets 2 in grade five. i was very happy and excited because i had the experience of talking with foreigners, and even used english to help some people when they met the communication problem.i was also very proud when the foreignup till now, i have been studied english for about 6 years. i deeply realize the importance of learning english.i will continue to study in the future, and i really appreciate my mother and my english teacher, too. this year beijing will host the XX olympic games, i believe that master english well will certain help me to do some useful work for this olympics.
