第十四讲小作文&智力测试

一．作文

这类题型主要考查考生综合运用英语的能力。要求同学掌握一定数量的单词，句型，并能根据正确规则来组织句子。此题的命题通常给出图片，题目，提示词和要求，让考生根据要求写出一篇小作文。

请注意以下几点：

1.如果根据题目的要求，你要认真观察所给图片，并仔细琢磨，反复思考。

2.根据题目，提示词要交代清楚时间、地点、人物、事件，让读者明白文章写的是什么人，在什么时候，什么地方发生了怎样的事。

3.必须把事情发生的环境写清楚。因为任何事情总是在一定的环境中发生、发展的。环境写好了，写出特点来，还能渲染气氛，表达感情，使文章更生动。

4.一般要按事情发展顺序，把一件事的起因、经过、结果写清楚，不能颠三倒四，还应把事情的前因后果，来龙去脉写清楚。

5．检查所写作文，注意书写格式，不要漏掉提示词；句子语法正确，语句通顺，恰当；标点准确。

6．注意平时语言的积累，背诵是必不可少的。

7．灵活运用所学句式。

8.不得少于规定字数。

范文：题目：A Winter Holiday Plan

提示：rest, Spring Festival,visit,help parents, play with friends, do homework,plan for the winter holiday

要求：1.寒假即将到来，请根据提示，写一篇寒假计划；

2. 条理清晰，意思明确，语句通顺，格式正确，语法准确，书写工整、规范；

A Winter Holiday Plan

The winter holiday is coming. I am very happy, because I can have a good rest and do many things. I will make a plan for the winter holiday.

In Spring Festival, I will visit my grandparents and help my parents do the housework. I can play with my friends, but I must do my homework first. I will study English and I will prepare for the new term. That will be fun. I hope I will have a good time in the winter holiday.

二．智力测试

“智力测试”是竞赛的特色题型，也是一个重要的、对考生要求较高的测试题。旨在考查学生的灵活思维的能力和综合运用英语的能力，因而不仅要求考生要有坚实的英语基础，而且还要具备较强的分析和推理能力。它涉及的知识面很广，一般包括日常生活常识、词义猜测、简单的数字计算、天文地理知识等。题型主要有常识题、谜语题、计算题、推理题、图形观察题、词义猜测题和脑筋急转弯等。如：
