本单元分为Section A 与Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Entertainment”展开听、说、读、写等语言活动。
本单元共包含两个主要语篇。
第一个语篇是对话,对话中Grace和Sarah对不同类型的电视节目发表意见。
第二个语篇介绍了米老鼠诞生前后的历史背景及其流行的原因。
两个语篇借助不同的载体,呈现了与“娱乐”有关的词汇和表达方式,使学生们能够表达对不同类型的电视节目或电影的看法与偏好,以及制订计划等。

Section B的教学应侧重于引导学生拾记并运用一些描述性形容词，如wonderful，relaxing，meaningless，enjoyable，exciting，boring等，自由谈论电视节目并表达个人的喜好。
同时，Section B也安排了一些读、写的任务活动，教师在教学过程中可以整合本单元教学内容，引导学生尝试着写简单的影评。
