英语作文女诺贝尔得主The Nobel Prize is one of the most prestigious awardsin the world, and being a Nobel laureate is an incredible achievement. In particular, female Nobel laureates are an inspiration to women around the world, proving that women can achieve greatness in any field they choose. One such female Nobel laureate is Marie Curie. Born in Poland in 1867, Curie was a physicist and chemist who made groundbreaking discoveries in the field of radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first person to win two Nobel Prizes in different fields: physics and chemistry.Curie's work on radioactivity revolutionized our understanding of the atom and paved the way for advances in nuclear energy and medicine. She discovered two new elements, polonium and radium, and developed techniques for isolating and measuring radioactive isotopes. Her research also had practical applications in the treatment of cancer,as radiation therapy became a common treatment for the disease. But Curie's achievements were not without challenges. As a woman in a male-dominated field, she faced discrimination and prejudice. She was denied entrance to universities and laboratories, and was often excluded from scientific societies and conferences. Despite these obstacles, she persisted in her work and became one of the most respected scientists of her time.Curie's legacy lives on today, as her discoveries continue to shape our understanding of the universe. She serves as a role model for women in science, showing that with determination and hard work, anything is possible.Other female Nobel laureates include Malala Yousafzai, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 for her advocacy for girls' education in Pakistan; Rosalind Franklin, whose work on X-ray crystallography was essential to the discovery of the structure of DNA; and Wangari Maathai, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004 for her work in environmentalconservation and women's rights in Kenya. These women have shown that women can excel in any field, from science and medicine to peace and environmental activism. Their achievements are an inspiration to us all, and a reminder that we must continue to work towards gender equality and empower women to reach their full potential.。

The Nobel Prize诺贝尔奖

The origin of the Nobel PrizeThe Nobel Prize resulted form a late change in the will of Alfred Nobel, who did not want to be remembered after his death as a propagator of violence - he invented dynamite.Alfred Nobel's willAlfred Nobel's will from November 25, 1895Five Nobel Prizes were instituted by the final will of Alfred Nobel, a Swedish chemist and industrialist, who was the inventor of the high explosive dynamite. Though Nobel wrote several wills during his lifetime, the last was written a little over a year before he died, and signed at the Swedish-Norwegian Club in Paris on 27 November 1895. Nobel bequeathed 94% of his total assets, 31 million Swedish Kronor, to establish and endow the five Nobel Prizes.(As of 2008 that equates to 186 million US dollars.)“ The whole of my remaining realizable estate shall be dealt with in the following way:The capital shall be invested by my executors in safe securities and shall constitute a fund, the interest on which shall be annually distributed in the form of prizes to those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind. The said interest shall be divided into five equal parts, which shall be apportioned as follows: one part to the person who shall have made the most important discovery or invention within the field of physics; one part to the person who shall have made the most important chemical discovery or improvement; one part to the person who shall have made the most important discovery within the domain of physiology or medicine; one part to the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work of an idealistic tendency; and one part to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity among nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses. The prizes for physics and chemistry shall be awarded by the Swedish Academy of Sciences; that for physiological or medical works by Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm; that for literature by the Academy in Stockholm; and that for champions of peace by a committee of five persons to be elected by the Norwegian Storting. It is my expressed wish that in awarding the prizes no consideration whatever shall be given to the nationality of the candidates, so that the most worthy shall receive the prize, whether he be Scandinavian or not.”—Alfred Nobel, Alfred Nobel's WillAlthough Nobel's will established the prizes, his plan was incomplete and, due to various other hurdles, it took five years before the Nobel Foundation could be established and the first prizes awarded on 10 December 1901.The current size of the Nobel endowment fund is about $400 million USD.The Nobel Prize (Swedish pronunciation: [noˈbɛl], Swedish definite form, singular: Nobelpriset; Norwegian: Nobelprisen) is a set of annual international awards bestowed in a number of categories by Swedish and Norwegian committees in recognition of cultural and/or scientific advances. The will of the Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel established the prizes in 1895. The prizes in Physics, Chemistry,Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace were first awarded in 1901. The related Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Scienceswas created in 1968. Between 1901 and 2012, the Nobel Prizes and the Prize in Economic Sciences were awarded 555 times to 856 people and organizations. With some receiving the Nobel Prize more than once, this makes a total of 835 individuals and 21 organizations. The Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway, while the other prizes are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden. The Nobel Prize is widely regarded as the most prestigious award available in the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, peace, and economics. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awards the Nobel Prize in Physics, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences; the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine; theSwedish Academy grants the Nobel Prize in Literature; and the Nobel Peace Prize is not awarded by a Swedish organisation but by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The various prizes are awarded yearly. Each recipient, or laureate, receives a gold medal, a diploma and a sum of money, which is decided by the Nobel Foundation. As of 2012, each prize was worth 8 million SEK (c. US$1.2 million, €0.93 million). The prize is not awarded posthumously; however, if a person is awarded a prize and dies before receiving it, the prize may still be presented. Though the average number of laureates per prize increased substantially during the 20th century, a prize may not be shared among more than three people.

The Nobel Prize

The Nobel Prize

The Nobel PrizeEach year on December 10, the world’s attention turns to Sweden for the announcement of the Nobel Prize winners. The Nobel Prize, six prizes given to group or individuals who really stand out in the fields, were founded by a Swedish inventor, Alfred Nobel.Alfred Nobel was the man who invented dynamic, a powerful explosive. During his life, Nobel made a lot of money from his invention, and he decided that he wanted to use his money to help scientists, artists, and people who worked to help others around the world. When he died, his will said that the money would be placed in a bank, and the interest the money earned would be given out as five annual cash prizes. The prizes set up by Nobel were first handed out in 1901, and include physics, medicine, chemistry, literature and peace. Later, in 1968 the Bank of Sweden added a prize in economics to celebrate the bank’s 300th year of business. Each person who receive a Nobel Prize is given a cash prize, a medal, and a certificate. The prize money for each category is currently worth about 1.5million dollars, and the aim of the prize is to allow the winner to carry on working or researching without having to worry about raising money. The prizes can be given to either individuals or groups. Prize winners include Albert Einstein(physic, 1921), Kim Dae Jung(peace, 2000), the United Nations(peace, 2001), Barack Obama(peace, 2009), and Mario Vargas Llosa(literature, 2010).The prize winner that has won the most times is the International Committee of the Red Cross. This organization has received three Nobel Peace Prizes(in 1917,1944, and 1963), and the founder, Jean Henri Dunant, was awarded the first Nobel Peace Prize, in 1901.。

Noble Prize

Noble Prize

The Nobel Prize (Swedish pronunciation: [noˈbɛl], Swedish definite form, singular: Nobelpriset; Norwegian: Nobelprisen) is a set of annual international awards bestowed in a number of categories by Scandinavian committees in recognition of cultural and/or scientific advances. The will of the Swedish philanthropist inventor Alfred Nobel established the prizes in 1895. The prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace were first awarded in 1901.[1]The Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo(奥斯陆,挪威首都), Norway, while the other prizes are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden. The Nobel Prize is widely regarded as the most prestigious award available in the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, peace, and economics.[2] The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awards the Nobel Prize in Physics, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences; the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutetawards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine; the Swedish Academy grants the Nobel Prize in Literature; and the Nobel Peace Prize is not awarded by a Swedish organisation but by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Each recipient, or laureate, receives a gold medal, a diploma, and a sum of money which is decided by Nobel Foundation yearly. As of 2012, each prize was worth 8 million SEK (c. US$1.2 million, €0.93 million). The prize is not awarded posthumously; however, if a person is awarded a prize and dies before receiving it, the prize may still be presented.[3] Though the average number of laureates per prize increased substantially during the 20th century, a prize may not be shared among more than three people.[4]。
