Do you realise that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids?

If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about ageing that you think in fractions.

你了解嗎？我們一生中唯一渴望年長就是孩提時代？十歲以下的你是以分數來雀躍於你的成長的？

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half.

You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key

“幾歲了？”, “本人四歲半”,

你絕不會再說你是三十六歲半的。

你是四歲半，就要五歲了！

這就是關鍵所在。

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

到了青春期，那可擋不住你了，你會跳前一歲，甚而多說好幾歲的來報你的年齡。

'How old are you?'

'I'm gonna be 16!' You could be 13,

but hey, you're gonna be 16!

And then the greatest day of your life ...... .

You become21.

Even the words sound like a ceremony.

“幾歲了？”, “本人快要十六歲了！”，而你可能只有十三，不過，你終究會是十六歲的！

然後你生命最重大的那天降臨了；

你二十一歲成年了！那聽起來就像個大慶典一樣：

YOU BECOME 21... YESSSS!!!

二十一歲了！哇塞！

But then you turn 30. Oooohh,

what happened there?

Makes you sound like bad milk!

He TURNED; we had to throw him out.

There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

但三十歲來了，

噢！怎麼了？

會使你覺得像酸腐了的牛奶！

壞了咱們得把它給倒掉了。

不再好玩了，因為你已是個壞了的餃子了！怎麼了？到底起了什麼變化了？

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING40.... Whoa! Put on the brakes,

it's all slipping away.

Before you know it, you REACH50 and your dreams are gone

你先變成年，經過而立，

接著直指不惑之年。哇！

該急煞車了，

逝者如斯乎，

還沒定過神來，你已達知天命之年，夢已渺矣！

But wait!!!

You MAKE it to 60.

You didn't think you would!你等會兒！

你已屆耳順花甲之年。

沒想到這麼快吧？

So you BECOME21,

TURN30, PUSH40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

哪！你從二十一，轉三十，推進到四十，五十，活到六十了。

You've built up so much speed that you HIT70! After that it's a day-by-day thing;

you HIT Saturday, January 04, 2014!

光陰似箭你老兄已達從心所欲不逾矩之齡了！

之後，你就進入讀日的狀態了！

You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime.

And it doesn't end there Into the 90s, you start going backwards;

'I Was JUST 92.‘

進入八旬之年，日子變得每日一循環計；午餐過後，一下子就四點半了，過不多久又該就寢了。沒完沒了地周而復始。九旬來臨，生命往回走了；你老在說，"我才剛九十二歲"。
