ML Call Description
1. BSC sends CM service request to MSC (SCCP - CR) 2. MSC sends back CC to BSC. MSC sends access request to VLR. 3. VLR sends Authentication to MSC, MSC sends Authentication request to MS. 4. MS sends Authentication response to MSC, MSC send Authentication ACK to VLR. 5. VLR sends Set_Ciphering_Mode to MSC. MSC sends Cipher Mod CMD to BSC. 6. BSC sends Cipher Mod COM to MSC, MSC sends access request ack to VLR. 7. MS sends Set Up to MSC. 8. MSC sends Call Proceeding to MS. 9. MSC sends Assign Request to BSC. 10. BSC sends Assign Complete to MSC. 11. MSC sends IAI to GMSC, PSTN, other MSC. 12. PSTN, other MSC sends back ACM. 13. MSC sends Alerting to MS. 14. The Called Party answered, send back ANC. 15. MSC sends Connect to MS. 16. MS sends back Connect Ack to MSC.

LM Call Description
1. PSTN originates call to GMSC with IAI ( called number MSISDN). 2. GMSC sends SRI message (Send Routing Information) to HLR, HLR verifies whether the call is allowed. 3. HLR sends PRN message(Provide Roaming Number) to VLR according to VLR location. 4. VLR verifies MS status, assign MSRN and send back to HLR in the message PRN ACK. 5. HLR sends MSRN back to GMSC in the message SRI ACK. 6. GMSC routes the call the MSC/VLR with IAI ( called number MSRN) 7. MSC get TMSI/IMSI, LAC sends Paging request to BSS. 8. MS receives Paging message and send Paging Response back. 9. MSC sends AUTHENTICATE REQUEST to MS. 10. MS sends AUTHENTICATE RESPONSE to VLR. 11. MSC sends CIPHER MOD CMD to MS. 12. MS sends CIPHER MOD COM to MSC. 13. MSC sends Set Up to MS. 14. MS sends Call Confirm to MSC. 15. MSC sends Assignment Request to BSC. 16. BSC sends Assignment Complete to MSC. 17. Handset ringring, MS sends Alerting message to MSC. 18. MSC sends ACM message to GMSC, PSTN. 19. Handset answer the call, MS sends Connect message to MSC. 20. MSC send to ANC message to GMSC, PSTN.
