1985年在美国洛杉矶举办的建筑展览会上，永定土楼——振成楼模型与北京天坛模型并展，令世人轰动一时。
什么再看振成楼的外观，整体看起来就像一顶古代官员的乌纱帽，左右两边建有对称的半月形厢房，相当于官帽的耳朵，我们正面看，左侧的厢房位楼主人当年切烟叶的手工作坊，右边则是楼主人当时建筑作为后代接受教育的醒庐私塾。
那么楼主人为什么取名为“振成呢?楼主是为了纪念十六世祖林福成和十七世祖林柸振而各取一字命名的。
参观振成楼除了可以欣赏建筑的精美奇特，还可以感受博大精深的客家文化。
我们现在来看一下正大门的对联：“振纲立红成德达材。
纲纪，即纲常伦理、法纪制度，对联体现楼主欲实现严振纲纪之目标，立志培养德才兼备之人才。
振成楼人才辈出，在90多年间，培养了有高尚品德明达事理富有能力的大学生人才达42位，大部分是专家教授。
例如，民国中央众议参议员林鸿超日本早稻田大学法学士林鸿辉、中国科学院院士林尚安等专家教授。

各位嘉宾，进入楼内，感觉一下楼内的温度与楼外的温度是否明显不同?土楼因樯体厚实有隔热保温的效果，因而土楼具有冬暖夏凉的功能。
振成楼分为内外两环，是一座楼中楼，外环是土木结构，高6米，分4层，有4道楼梯，从一楼通往四层层是厨房膳厅，二层是储藏食物的仓库，三四层是主人的卧室。
内环共2层，为砖木结构，以前是专门招待客人的厢房，所以素有“外土内洋之称。
振成楼直径572米，楼内按中国传统《易经》八卦原理布局，以青砖防火干墙分隔成8个单元，代表八个卦位，全楼大大小小的房间222间(包括厅)现还居住15户人家，80多口人，全是林氏后代。
这里有一副对联：“干国家事，读圣贤书是明朝嘉靖年间忠臣海瑞的话。
楼主引用海瑞的话，正是希望后代立志高远，有所作为，再看门楣上“里党观型四个字，还有一行小红字为“大总统题褒，中间有个大总统印，是当时的民国大总统黎元洪对此楼主人的题词褒奖“里党指的是四乡八邻，“观就是看“型就是模型、模范“里党观型意思就是这座土楼和楼主是乡里邻居学习看齐的楷模，各位嘉宾现请进到内环来参观。
内环楼同为八卦原理设计，开了三道门，寓意天时地利、人和。
这是振成楼的中门，平时主人都从左右两边的边门进出的。
中门也叫天门，平时不开，每逢过节、婚丧喜庆的时侯才开，迎接尊贵的客人的时候也必须开中门，中门开了，主人也只能男左女右走两个小边门。
前面这个中堂大厅又叫祖堂，中西合璧的建筑风格，宽敞明亮，舒适大方，4根大石柱挺立，三角形屋顶，也跟希腊雅典神庙的建筑风格非常相似。
这个祖堂也称多功能大厅，它既是婚丧喜庆的宴会厅，又是族人议事的地方，同时还是演戏的场所。
有唱戏的地方就应该有看戏的地方。
那大家再看二楼上中间小厅是客人们观看演出的地方，主人在两边陪同。
站在这个位置上，可以观察到外环与内环楼之间东西两侧各有一口小井，两口水井也刚好处于八卦的阴阳两极上，东边的水井在阳极，西边的水井在阴极。
两口水井有个奇特的现象，距离不过30米，同一水平面上，其水位水温和水质明显不同，实在是令人称奇。
再请注意那4根近5米的粗大石柱和数米长的横架石梁，90多年前这里是深山老林，一无公路二无汽车三无机械作业四无河流船载，要把那粗大沉重的花岗岩石从外地运进楼内雕花、镌字、竖起，谈何容易，可见当时工程之艰巨和技艺之灵巧。
再看石柱上的两副对联，中间上联是：“振乃家声好就孝弟一边做去意思是说孝敬老人长辈，兄弟友爱协作是兴家旺业的基础;下联是“成些事业端从勤俭二字得来勤和俭是任何时候做任何事业成功的基本要素之一;所以凡能成就一些事业都从勤和俭中得来。
所以林鸿超先生的这副对联联“能不为忧患挫志自不为安是十分务实的。
另一副楹安乐肆志，在官无傥来―金居家无浪费―金同样体现了楼主深谋远虑，强调居安思危、戒奢以俭，以长振家声，这些对联今天看来仍然具有很强的教育意义。
现在我们进入大厅参观，这有几副皇榜：像“承基衍庆“志洁行芳义行可风“义声载道都是中华民国黎元洪大总统题给林鸿超先生家族的。
各位嘉宾请看墙上的的照片，这幅是振成楼的设计者林鸿超先生夫妇。
林鸿超生于]880年，名开敏又名鸿超，号逊之，是清末禀生，民国二年(193年)在汀汀州府被选为全国众议院议员，孙中山和黎元洪曾分别亲自题字“博爱“和里党观型“给他。
右侧画像则是他的父亲和叔叔，他们都是清代的四品官员。
厅堂正中上的“言法行则，福果善根八个字是林鸿超先生亲笔题写的，“言法行则，则，福果善根意义深远，至今依然影响着我们每一个人，楼主训示了子孙后代据此立身处世，确保家族永昌，可见其良苦用心。

在当时的社会条件下，兵荒马乱的，客家人为了生存，只能聚族而居，土楼的大门建造也是要非常牢固安全的，如遇到外敌侵犯，只要关起门来，这么粗的门闩，这么厚的门板，一般的土枪土炮是难以攻打的。
那外敌若：用火攻怎么办呢?像振成楼一样的有钱人家大门板上钉铁皮防火，而经济条件一般的人家防火则在大门顶上设计灭火水槽，直通二楼，一旦敌人火攻，主人在二楼放水，就可将火浇灭。
土楼内生活必需品一应俱全，养有家禽家畜，还有粮食、菜干。
完全可以满足楼内居民一年半载的生存需要。
所以说，土楼在安全防卫方面考虑得十分周到，设施齐全，功能很强。
现在请大家看土楼外墙的建造。
土楼墙体设计是随着高度的增加向内倾斜，底层厚度12米，到墙顶时只有09米了。
这样就形成了下大上小、向心力强的墙体，在垒筑时放入竹片、杉木条，增加了墙身的拉力，大大提高了抗震的能力。
现在我们来介绍楼中的另一副对联“振刷精神担当宇轴，成些事业垂裕后昆。
这副对联是著名书画家、国画大师张大千老师～近代书画名家李瑞清撰写的。
上联气势恢弘，有胆有识，激励后人振作起来，把担当国家社会穿的大任作为人生的追求的崇高目标。
下联催促后人，趁早做成一些事业，造福子孙后代。
振成楼内所有对联意义深远，富含哲理，没有时代的限制不论过去、现在还是将来，都有相当强的教育意义。
