Students who are anxious about a test can improve their scores (得分)just by writing about their fears, according to a study.
Researchers took 47 university students who were nervous about a coming exam and divided them into three groups. The first group was told to write about their fears ten minutes before they took a math test. The second group was told to write about what they did the day before. And the third group was told to relax for ten minutes before the test.
The students Wo either wrote about the unrelated (无关的)topics or simply relaxed got 7% fewer scores than before. However, the students who wrote about their worries did 4% better in the test.
The scientists did the same experiment with high school students and the results were similar. When kids wrote about their feelings before the test, their marks would be better.
Why did this happen? When someone is under pressure, port of his brain‟s (大脑的)memory worries about it. When he puts his feelings down on paper, his brain no longer has to store that information, so he can fully concentrate on the test.

Do you know that a student can produce up to 240 pounds of school waste and lots of waste gas (气体} in a term? This includes transportation, food, paper, pens, pencils
and so on.
Transportation
Many parents like driving their kids to school. We all know waste gas from cars is a main cause of air pollution. If parents who live in a neighborhood can take turns to drive their kids to school, that‟ll be better.Another way is to walk to school if students Live near their schools.
Food
It's surprising that only one elementary school could produce up to 19,000 pounds of lunch waste each year. One way to help take care of the environment is to stop using plastic bags. There are all kinds of environment-friendly boxes for students to put their food in.
Paper, pens and pencils
Lots of paper is thrown away by American students. They throw away about 1.6 billion pens every year. And the chemicals (化学物)in pens are bad for the environment. Many more pencils are thrown away than pens. Pencils are made of wood. If more pencils are thrown away, more trees will be cut down. So students should reuse (再使用)paper, pens and pencils instead of throwing them away.

In today‟ English class, we had a hot discussion about …what would you do if you had only one day left?‟It seemed that different people had different opinions on this. In my class, most students said that they would stay at home and help parents with the housework. They wanted to show love to their parents, because they seldom showed love to their parents before. Wang Yizhou said, …If I had only one day left, I would do something different such as helping others.”He said we should do something meaningful to the world. Only a few students said they would do nothing but have the last rest at home. Because they had too much homework to do every day and they needed a rest.
We had different ideas, but we all knew that we must cherish (珍爱)our life. We should spend our limited (有限的)life doing something meaningful and try to make the best use of our time. Never wait for the last day to come.

In Ireland we go to primary school when we are 6-12 years old. When we go to high school, girls and boys will go to different schools.
I like Dublin a lot! It is the capital of Ireland. When you visit Dublin, you will be very frightened because the roads are so narrow (狭窄的).
Ireland is a great place to visit. Lots of people say that the Irish are waim-hearted and very friendly. We, the Irish, are also known for our hospitality (好客),close family ties, and our skill at telling stories.
