Another option, of course, my favorite option since I own one consignment boutique, is going to consignment shops. It’s another tricky thing because there are a lot of different types of consignment shops. Some are specializing on clothing, uhh, you know, you have to go for the genre of the clothing that you like to wear, uhh, our store specializes more on contemporary looks. We go for one of kilt things, the season was very big on dresses, but there are other consignment shops that were more conservative, which, if it’s your thing, great!
Another option is going to consignment shops. It’s another tricky thing because there are a lot of different types of consignment shops. you have to go for the genre of the clothing that you like to wear.
The other thing that a lot of people don’t consider is sales like last call at Neiman Marcus, Saks has something similar. You don’t want to spend a huge amount on them, but by the time they are in the last call, they are marked down three or four times and then they’re 50% off of that, so you are really getting a great piece for a total fraction of the cost.
