摘要

自20世纪晚期出现了互联网后，互联网迅速发展起来。互联网使人们突破了地域、国家、种族、语言、传统和信任的界限。作为一个信息载体，互联网吸引了越来越多的视线。互联网被认为是现代社会巨大变化的主要资源。在这样的背景下，网络英语产生并成为一种新的英语语言体系。

网络英语是近年崛起的一种新学科，其发展迅速,以其独特的魅力吸引了众多网民的注意。与此同时，网络英语对英语语言的风格和变革的影响也是不容忽视的。因其影响，英语正逐渐趋于简单和富有创造性。

网络英语最重要的特征表现在它的构词特点和语言特色。本论文将分析网络英语的构词特点和语言特色。

Abstract

The Internet has been developing rapidly since it appeared in the late 20th century. Internet has broken the boundaries of geography, nations, ethnic, languages, traditions and beliefs. As an information carrier, Internet has attracted an ever-increasing number of people’s attention. The Internet is considered one of the major sources of the drastic changes in modern world. In such a context, Internet English, as a new variety of the English language, came into being. Internet English is a new subject that rose in recent years with rapid development. Internet English is attracting netizens with its specific language characteristics.

Meanwhile, its impact on the style and evolution of the English language is also considerable. English is changing in the direction of being simple and creative partly because of its influence.

The most important characteristics of Internet English are represented by its formation and language characteristics. This paper summarizes Internet English from the perspectives of the patterns of word-formation and the language characteristics of Internet English to make the readers understand Internet English better.
