①一般情况，在词尾直接加；如tall long

②以不发音的e结尾的，加；如nice large

③以辅音字母加y结尾的，变为，再加；如：

easy early

④以重读闭音节结尾的，并且末尾只有一个辅音字母的，双写最后一个辅音字母，再加er；如big thin

⑤在多音节和部分双音节词前加构成比较级。如：

你们有没有注意到句子中斜体单词的翻译，much，表示“……得多”，a little表示“一点儿”。它们是用来修饰比较级的。类似的词汇还有even(更加)、far、a lot(……得多)、a bit(一点儿)、still(还、还要)
