高考英语夹叙夹议完形填空解题技巧点拨

自从 2004 年许多省市单独命题以来,高考的完形填空题明显呈现以

下几个显著特点:

1.短文多选材于英美国家近期报刊杂志上原汁原味的文章,语言地

道,文章具有知识性、教育性,一般采用记叙文和议论文,但更多的还

是夹叙夹议的文章。

2.短文词数略有增加,难度系数逐年加大,生词量增多。

3.以逻辑选择填空为主,语法选择填空极少,而词义搭配或短语辨

析题增多。

4.以单词填空为主,词组和短语填空为辅。

一、夹叙夹议文体的特点

夹叙夹议文体就是一方面叙述某一事情,一方面又对此事加以分析与

评论。这种表达方式中的叙与议是一个有机的整体,“叙”是“议”

的基础,即议论不能脱离记叙,必须在记叙的基础上展开;“议”是“叙”的渗透,即议论在记叙的基础上发展,且有一定的深度与广度。二者水乳交融,互为一体。

这种文体的语言既有记叙文的特点:借助叙述、描写、抒情等手段记

叙社会生活中的人、事、景、物的情态及其发展过程,用以表现作者思

想,抒发作者情感;时态以一般过去时为主,其他时态为辅;广泛使用

动态动词;适当运用直接引语。同时又具有议论文的语言个性:语言自

然、客观、准确,逻辑性强,且具有概括性。在遣词造句方面多使用

虚拟语气、让步状语从句和 can, may, might, could, would, should

等情态动词。

二、方法突破

同学们在解答夹叙夹议文体的完形填空时,首先要读懂第一节,尤

其是文章的第一句话,这样就可以迅速找到全文的主旨大意。其次要跟着作者的思路读全文,思维要有灵活性,要随着记叙与议论的转换,及

时调整思维方式。答题时必须要遵循“整体—部分—整体”的步骤,具

体可分为以下三步:

1.通览全文,了解大意。

2.综合考虑,逐项填空。

3.复读检验,以防疏漏。

例如( 2006 天津卷保留原题号):

I work as a volunteer(志愿者) for an organization that helps the poor in Haiti. Recently I took my son Barrett there for a week, hoping to 16 him.
