tpo3口语task1满分范文英文回答:The situation the speaker describes is certainly a familiar one to many students. Procrastination, or the avoidance of tasks, can be a significant problem for students of all ages and academic levels. There are a number of factors that can contribute to procrastination, including anxiety, perfectionism, and a lack of motivation or interest in the task at hand.In the case of the speaker, it seems that procrastination is a result of feeling overwhelmed by the task and a lack of confidence in their ability to complete it successfully. This is a common problem for students who are struggling with a particular subject or who have a lot of other commitments on their plate. There are a number of things that students can do to overcome procrastination. One important step is to identifythe reasons why they are procrastinating. Once they understand the underlying causes, they can develop strategies to address them. For example, if a student is procrastinating because they are feeling anxious about a task, they might try relaxation techniques or talking to a counselor. If a student is procrastinating because they are lacking motivation, they might try setting smaller goals or finding a study buddy to help them stay on track. It is also important for students to develop good time management skills. This means creating a schedule and sticking to it as much as possible. Blocking out specific times for studying and completing assignments can help students to stay focused and avoid getting sidetracked. Finally, it is important for students to remember that they are not alone. Many students struggle with procrastination at some point in their academic careers. There are a number of resources available to help students overcome procrastination, such as online resources, counseling services, and peer support groups.中文回答:扬声器描述的情况对于许多学生来说当然很熟悉。

▉托福TPO1阅读Passage3原文文本: Groundwater Groundwater is the word used to describe water that saturates the ground, filling all the available spaces. By far the most abundant type of groundwater is meteoric water; this is the groundwater that circulates as part of the water cycle. Ordinary meteoric water is water that has soaked into the ground from the surface, from precipitation (rain and snow) and from lakes and streams. There it remains, sometimes for long periods, before emerging at the surface again. At first thought it seems incredible that there can be enough space in the “solid” ground underfoot to hold all this water. The necessary space is there, however, in many forms. The commonest spaces are those among the particles—sand grains and tiny pebbles—of loose, unconsolidated sand and gravel. Beds of this material, out of sight beneath the soil, are common. They are found wherever fast rivers carrying loads of coarse sediment once flowed. For example, as the great ice sheets that covered North America during the last ice age steadily melted away, huge volumes of water flowed from them. The water was always laden with pebbles, gravel, and sand, known as glacial outwash, that was deposited as the flow slowed down. The same thing happens to this day, though on a smaller scale, wherever a sediment-laden river or stream emerges from a mountain valley onto relatively flat land, dropping its load as the current slows: the water usually spreads out fanwise, depositing the sediment in the form of a smooth, fan-shaped slope. Sediments are also dropped where a river slows on entering a lake or the sea, the deposited sediments are on a lake floor or the seafloor at first, but will be located inland at some future date, when the sea level falls or the land rises; such beds are sometimes thousands of meters thick. In lowland country almost any spot on the ground may overlie what was once the bed of a river that has since become buried by soil; if they are now below the water’s upper surface (the water table), the gravels and sands of the former riverbed, and its sandbars, will be saturated with groundwater. So much for unconsolidated sediments. Consolidated (or cemented) sediments, too, contain millions of minute water-holding pores. This is because the gaps among the original grains are often not totally plugged with cementing chemicals; also, parts of the original grains may become dissolved by percolating groundwater, either while consolidation is taking place or at any time afterwards. The result is that sandstone, for example, can be as porous as the loose sand from which it was formed. Thus a proportion of the total volume of any sediment, loose or cemented, consists of empty space. Most crystalline rocks are much more solid; a common exception is basalt, a form of solidified volcanic lava, which is sometimes full of tiny bubbles that make it very porous. The proportion of empty space in a rock is known as its porosity. But note that porosity is not the same as permeability, which measures the ease with which water can flow through a material; this depends on the sizes of the individual cavities and the crevices linking them. Much of the water in a sample of water-saturated sediment or rock will drain from it if the sample is put in a suitable dry place. But some will remain, clinging to all solid surfaces. It is held there by the force of surface tension without which water would drain instantly from any wet surface, leaving it totally dry. The total volume of water in the saturated sample must therefore be thought of as consisting of water that can, and water that cannot, drain away. The relative amount of these two kinds of water varies greatly from one kind of rock or sediment to another, even though their porosities may be the same. What happens depends on pore size. If the pores are large, the water in them will exist as drops too heavy for surface tension to hold, and it will drain away; but if the pores are small enough, the water in them will exist as thin films, too light to overcome the force of surface tension holding them in place; then the water will be firmly held. ▉托福TPO1阅读Passage3题目: Question 1 of 14 Which of the following can be inferred from paragraph 1 about the ground that we walk on? A. It cannot hold rainwater for long periods of time. B. It prevents most groundwater from circulating. C. It has the capacity to store large amounts of water. D. 托福口语task3题目范文TPO2托福综合口语Task3阅读文本:Bus Service Elimination PlannedThe university has decided to discontinue its free bus service for students. The reason given for this decision is that few students ride the buses and the buses are expensive to operate. Currently, the buses run from the center of campus past university buildings and through some of the neighborhoods surrounding the campus. The money saved by eliminating the bus service will be used to expand the overcrowded student parking lots.TPO2托福综合口语Task3听力文本:(Man): I dont like the universitys plan.(Woman): Really? Ive ridden those buses and sometimesthere were only a few people on the bus. It did seem like a kind of a waste.(Man): I see your point, but I think the problem is that the route is out of date. It only goes to the neighborhood that have gotten too expensive for students to live in. It is ridiculous that they have not already changed route, you know, so it goes where most off-campus students live now.I bet if they did that, theyd get plenty of students riding those buses.(Woman): Well, at least they are adding more parking, it has gotten really tough to find a space.(Man): That is the other part I do not like, actually. Cutting back the bus service and adding parking just encourage more students to drive on campus and that just adds to noise around campus and create more traffic. And that II increase the need for more parking spaces.(Woman): Yeah, I guess I can see your point. Maybe it would be better if more students use the buses instead of driving. (Man): Right. And the university should make it easier to do that, not harder.TPO2托福综合口语Task3题目文本:The man expresses his opinion of the universitys plan to eliminate the bus service. State his opinion and explain the reasons he gives for holding that opinion.TPO2托福综合口语Task3满分范文:Well, the man disagrees with the plan for two main reasons. First of all, he believes that the route is out-of-date since it only goes through the neighborhoods that are too expensive for students to live in. If they change the bus route making it go through areas where most off-campus students live now, they will have plenty of students riding those buses. On top of that, the man thinks that the plan will encourage students to drive on campus, which will cause not only more traffic and noise but also deficient parking spaces on campus. So the man disagrees with the plan for the reasons stated above. (110 words)TPO48托福综合口语Task3题目+解析+思路+范文Question:The man expresses his opinion about the letter-writers proposal. 建议考生针对阅读中学校的通知+听力中学生对此事的看法+有这种看法的两个原因的思路来整理模板。
小编推荐考生选择这个模板The school has implemented a new policy that…..due to….(学校的规章制度)And the man/woman holds a positive /negative view towards the announcement. (学生的态度)The first reason she/he gives is that …And the second one is based on the fact that…(产生这种态度的两个原因)Therefore, she/he agrees/disagrees with that opinion.比如考生在回答TPO3TASK3的时候,就能够套用这样的模板。
The school has implemented a new policy that the dining services will not serve hot breakfast food anymore due to cold items are healthier and doing so can bring down the cost of campus meal plan. (学校的政策)And the woman holds a negative view towards the announcement. The first reason she gives is that in a cold morning, a warm omelet can make you a lot more comfortable than something cold.(反对的原因1)And the second one is based on the fact that cutting back the menu will make student’s life a lot harder.(反对的原因2) Therefore, she disagrees with that opinion.Task4Task4和task3相对来说比较难,这个题目中考生的答题重点是阅读中教授讲解的主要内容以及听力中支撑教授观点的例子,所以考生在整理模板的时候也应该根据以上答题重点来组织。

Right now there's only street parking available, and it isn't enough. Whenever I look for a spot to park in the street near the humanities building, I can't find one. A parking lot for the humanities building would solve that problem. Also, there's a wooded area behind the building that would make an ideal location for the parking lot. The university could just clear away the trees and build a lot - the space is already there for it. Sincerely, Joe Simmons 托福TPO51口语Task3听力文本: Now, listen to two students discussing the letter. M: Hey, Mary. Did you see this? You think he’s right? W: No. I don’t agree with him. M: How come? W: Well, because it’s not like the street out front is the only space you can park. You can also park at the dining hall, which is only a couple of blocks away or the library, which is a few blocks in the other direction. He doesn’t mention that. M: That’s true. I guess there are other lots nearby. W: Yeah, so there’s not really a need for it. Students may have to walk a little but that’s ok. I don’t think there always needs to be a spot right outside the building you’re going to. M: That’s true. W: But the other problem I have with it is even if they went ahead with his idea, it’s the location he suggests. They can’t just clear away those trees, that’s oneof the only wooded areas left on campus. We don’t have many trees here and they should preserve the ones we have. M: Yeah, it is pretty. W: Well, yeah, and sometimes students like to sit out there in the shade on a nice day to study or read under the trees. They should leave it alone, not destroy it to make away for something we don’t need. 托福TPO51口语Task3题目: The woman expresses her opinion about the letter-writer's proposal. Briefly summarize the proposal. Then state her opinion about the proposal and explain the reasons she gives for holding that opinion. 托福TPO51口语Task3满分范文: In the reading, a student proposes that the school should build a parking lot near the humanities building. The first reason is that students could only park their cars in the street, which is very inconvenient. The second one is that there is a wooded area on campus, which is a perfect site for a parking lot on campus. In the listening, the woman disagrees with the proposal because of two reasons. The first is both the dining hall and library are good places to park and they are not far away from the humanities building. Students may just need to walk a few steps away. The second one is that the wooded area on campus is the only one left for students. It is better for school to leave this place to them where they can study and read books under the shade. 以上是给大家整理的托福TPO51口语Task3阅读文本+听力文本+题目+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!。

官方真题TPO1托福独立写作题目文本+满分范文官方真题Official1托福独立写作题目原文:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.官方真题Official1托福独立写作满分范文1:As people regard education as an essential part of life more and more, where the educational budgets should be devoted to rises to a hot topic. Some people hold the view that money is supposed to be put into classes and libraries, while others believe that an equal amount of financial support should begiven to sports and social activities at universities and colleges. From my perspective, sports and social activities make a complete campus life together with classes and libraries, so I firmly agree with the statement. First of all, playing sports makes a person healthy and energetic to face the future challenges. It can be seen everywhere that more and more students wear glasses, and too much reading along with facing computers for a long time makes it even worse. Then they may suffer from eye problems or other physical diseases. The only way of improving this case is to encourage them to take some time relaxing in sports. Furthermore, playing a ball game together is the best method to promote teamwork spirit. After a period of playing together, members will develop a way to solve problems and achieve their common goal. Therefore, sports strengthen ones body as well as enhance the spirit of teamwork. Besides, social activities can help foster abilities that students cannot gain during classes or self-studying. Though being smart and diligent, some students are called pedants because of not being able to exchange ideas with others freely. Only if a person is equipped with knowledge and is capable of expressing it can he become competent. So, it is significant for them to take part in social activities with the aim oflifting their communication skills. When pedants are forced to talking with others, its a great chance for them to make new friends and express their thoughts, which may be an opportunity for their future career. Last but not the least is that the places provided for sports and social activities are in need of money. It is common that the school will spend a large sum of money to purchase updated books and facilities to fulfill the requirements of classes and libraries. However, finding a suitable place to play sports or hold social activities is always hard. Take my university as an example, if I want to read a book, I can easily find a seat in the library, but if I want to run for half an hour, the crowded gym will just turn me into a upset mood. Then, requiring the same amount of financial support to ameliorate the condition is just reasonable. In a nutshell, financial support should be contributed to sports and social activities just like classes and libraries, for they help with strengthening bodies, making progress in communication skills and they are in shortage of fund.官方真题Official1托福独立写作满分范文2:Some people claim that universities and colleges should not spend a great deal of money on sports and social activities, as their budgets should prioritize classes and libraries. However, as educational institutions, universities and colleges have an obligation to provide a wide range of knowledge to their students to help them develop academically and socially. An increasing number of businesses have high demand for people who are not only specialists in their fields, but also skilled in social interaction. With the ever changing science and technology, no task can be fulfilled by a single person and given the need for collaboration, social skills and team spirit are indispensable qualities for success. Clearly, sports and social activities in universities and colleges provide students with the perfect settings to practice their social skills. By playing football in a team or joining in a contest, for instance, students can develop a sense of belonging and experience team spirit, both of which are quite essential for their future careers. Aside from fostering social skills and team spirit, sports and social activities can greatly help students release their pressures. Nowadays, students not only have to finish all the tasks assigned by teachers, but also have to attend many extra-curricular training courses. Even the most enthusiastic people feel tired and exhausted if they keep this busy schedule for a pretty long time. For example, when I was in high school, I would playbasketball with my classmates. I could always get good refreshment and resume schoolwork with higher efficiency later on. Admittedly, academic education will always be at the heart of a university. In universities, sports and social activities should by no means take the place of a focus on academic study. However, what I believe is that universities and colleges are supposed to invest in academics as well as sports and social activities. For instance, in the United States, almost all famous universities have plenty of sports teams and social groups, and universities provide adequate financial support for these events. Both of these fields are highly valued. For these reasons, I maintain that universities and colleges should spend enough money on academic education and social movements to prepare students for their future development.

In the United States, employees typically work five days a week for eight hours each day. However, many employees want to work a four-day week and are willing to accept less pay inorder to do so. A mandatory policy requiring companies to offer their employees the option of working a four-day workweek for four-fifths (80 percent)of their normal pay would benefit the economy as a whole as well as the individual companies and the employees who decided to take the option. The shortened workweek would increase company profits because employees would feel more rested and alert, and as a result, they would make fewer costly errors in their work. Hiring morestaff to ensure that the same amount of work would be accomplished would not result in additional payroll costs because four-day employees would only be paid 80 percent of the normal rate. In the end, companies would have fewer overworked and error-prone employees for the same money, which would increase company profits. For the country as a whole, one of the primary benefits of offering this option to employees is that it would reduce unemployment rates. If many full-time employees started working fewer hours, some of their workload would have to be shifted to others. Thus, for every four employees who went on an 80 percent week, a new employee could be hired at the 80 percent rate. Finally, the option of a four-day workweek would be better for individual employees. Employees who could afford a lower salary in exchange for more free time could improve the quality of their lives by spending the extra time with their families, pursuing private interests, or enjoying leisure activities. 托福TPO1综合写作听力原文文本: Offering employees the option of a four-day workweek won't affect the company profits, economic conditions or the lives of employees in the ways the reading suggests.First, offering a four-day workweek will probably force companies to spend more, possibly a lot more. Adding new workers means putting much more money into providing training and medical benefits. Remember the costs of things like health benefits can be the same whether an employee works four days or five. And having more employees also requires more office space and more computers. These additional costs would quickly cut into company profits.Second, with respect to overall employment, it doesn't follow that once some employees choose a four-day work week, many more jobs will become available. Hiring new workers is costly, as I argued a moment ago. And companies have other options. They might just choose to ask their employees to work overtime to make up the difference. Worse, companies might raise expectations. They might start to expect that their four-dayemployees can do the same amount of work they used to do in five days. If this happens, then no additional jobs will be created and current jobs will become more unpleasant. Finally, while a four-day workweek offers employees more free time to invest in their personal lives, it alsopresents some risks that could end up reducing their quality of life. Working a shorter week can decrease employees' job stability and harm their chances for advancing their careers. Four-day employees are likely to be the first to lose their jobs during an economic downturn. They may also be passed over for promotions because companies might prefer to have five-day employees in management positions to ensure continuous coverage and consistent supervision for the entire workweek. 托福TPO1综合写作满分范文: The passage argues that four-day work week will benefit companies, the whole economy, and individuals. But in the lecture, the professor holds a totally different view that no one will be beneficial from the new work week. Firstly, the passage says that companies will get more profits for employees can work more effectively. However, the lecture points out that four-day workweek will lead to spend more. That is because companies have to spend more money on training, medical benefits, office positions, even new computers. Secondly, the passage claims that the whole economy will benefit, for the four-day workweek is a way to reduce unemployment rates. The lecture refutes the idea completely. Admittedly, there are more available jobs, but companies will prefer to let employees work overtime to finish them for hiring new staff is too expensive. In addition, the companies may lift their expectation that staff finish five-day jobs within four-day. Thirdly, the passage suggests that individual employees can benefit from it. Though the four-day workweek can provide more leisure time to employees, the lecture argues against the passage. Comparing to five-day workers, the four-day workweek employees may be the first one to be fire during economic depression. And they will have less chance to promotion because companies wish that managers could be on duty every work day. 以上是给大家整理的托福TPO1综合写作阅读原文+听力原文+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!。

Besides, television can be a kind of entertainment. People can watch different shows on TV such as funny talk shows and soap operas. Therefore, society actually benefits from TV.托福TPO1口语task3题目Reading Part:Letter in the Centerville College News The administration has announced plans to acquire a new sculpture for campus. We should all oppose this plan. Theuniversity’s poor financial condition led it to increase the price for campus housing and tuition by 15% this past year. Surely then it is in no financial position to purchase such an expensive sculpture. Moreover, just look at the sculpture: several 60-foot long steel plates, jutting out of the earth at odd angles! It’s just so large, it’ll take up all the green space in front of the campus cen ter! This is public space that should be reserved for students to use.托福TPO1口语task3题目Listening Part:Now listen to two students discussing the opinion expressed in the letter.(man) Did you see Paul’s letter in the paper about the new sculpture?(woman) Yeah, but it was totally unconvincing. His reasons for opposing the plan are just totally o ff. I am glad that we’ll finally have some nice art on campus. I’d like to shake the donor ’s hand and say “thank you.”(man) What do you mean the donor?(woman) You didn't know? An anonymous donor is paying the bill for most of the sculpture.(man) Not the university?(woman) No! His assumptions about who’s paying are all wrong!(man) Still, I wonder if he has a point about the space it’ll take up?(woman) Well, you know why Paul is upset. He an d his friends are always out there on the lawn right where the sculpture will be, kicking around the soccer ball. Now they’ll just hav e to use another part of the campus to play.(man) Oh! So he just doesn't want to have to move.(woman) Yeah! Listening key(2.1) The woman disagrees with it(2.2) Reason 1: the school isn’t paying(2.2.1) Details: a donor is paying for the sculpture, nice to have art on campus(2.3) Reason 2: Paul is upset for not wanting to move(2.3.1) Details: he and his friends are always on the lawn kicking a soccer ball, they don’t want to move, it’s sculpture vs. convenient for Paul 托福TPO1口语task3范文:The writer of the letter opposes the university’s plan to acquire a new sculpture because the university’s financial condi tion is poor and the sculpture is so large that it’ll take up all the green space in front of the campus center. The woman in the conversation thinks the two reasons are totally unconvincing. Thewoman says it’s an anonymous donor who pays the bill of the sculpture not the university so there is no need to worry about the university’s financial condition. As for the point about the space, the woman thinks Paul, the writer of the letter, always plays soccer with his friends on the lawn where the sculpture will be. She thinks Paul just doesn’t want to move to another place. For him, it’s convenience versus sculpture.托福TPO1口语task4题目Reading Part:GroupthinkOne process by which groups may make bad or irrational decisions is known as groupthink. Individual members of a group attempt to conform their opinions to what they believe to be the group consensus even though the result may be negative. There are many reasons why groupthink happens. These include the desire to be liked, fear of losing a job, or even not wanting to be the one employee delaying a decision that seems inevitable. These kinds of implicit pressures to conform lead group members to ultimately make decisions that each, by himself or herself, might normally not make.托福TPO1口语task4题目Listening Part:Now listen to part of a lecture on this topic in a business management class.(male professor)So, let me tell you about my own experiences when I was working for a computer company a couple of years ago.So, one day a co-worker and I suggested we should give our computers a design make-over: make them look more up-to-date. Market research was showing that new customers said they would be more interested in buying our computers if they looked cooler. Our technology was advanced but the outside design looked really old-fashioned.At first, more than half the group supported us. There were a few senior managers here who didn’t support the d esign change. One o f the senior manager said, “Our focus has always been on technology, changing the look is an unnecessary cost.”Almost immediately, some of our supporters changed their minds! Even my co-worker changed his mind! When I asked him why after the meeting, he told me he didn’t want to make a bad impression on the senior managers. He thought that disagreeing with them might jeopardize his chances of getting a promotion by not looking like a team-player.What about me? I hate to admit it, but, after a few hours of discussion, I started wondering if it was worth everyone’s time to argue about this? As more people sided with the senior management, I started to feel that I was the only one holding up the vote. Everyone else seemed to think change wasn’t necessary. I voted against my own idea in the end.So we unanimously decided to stay with the current old-looking design. But this decision ended up costing us a lot of money. That same year, our competitorcame out with a new design that attracted some of our customers and prevented us from profiting from new customers.托福TPO1口语task4题目Question:Explain groupthink and its effects. Using the example of the computer company.托福TPO1口语task4答案解析:1. Reading keys(1.1) Term: groupthink(1.2) Definition: sometimes people make bad or irrational decision within a group(1.3) Why do we do it?(1.3.1) Desire to be liked, fear of losing a job(1.3.2) Not wanting to be the only one that’s holding up the vote2. Listening keys(2.1) Professor and coworker wanted to change the look of their computer(2.2) Manager disagreed(2.3) Coworker changed his mind(2.3.1) Did not want to leave a bad impression on the managers(2.4) Professor changed his mind as well(2.4.1) Did not want to be the only one that’s holding up the vote(2.5) They were all wrong(2.5.1) A competitor came out with a new design that attracted many costumers托福TPO1口语task4范文:The professor talks about groupthink which means sometimes people would make a bad decision as a group. In the example, the professor and hisco-worker thought they need to change the look of their computers, but managers disagreed. So his co-worker changed his mind because he didn't want to leave a bad impression on the managers by not looking like a team player. In the end, the professor changed his mind too, because he didn't want to be the only person that’s holding up the vote. But they were all wrong, the same year, a competitor came out with a new design that attracted many of their customers.托福TPO1口语task5题目Listening Part:Now listen to a conversation between two students.(man) Hey, Mary, how’s your volunteer work going? You’re still involved in that after-school program with the elementary kids?(woman) Yeah, but I’ve got a problem. I am supposed to be driving a bunch of them to the zoo tomorrow.(man) Yeah?(woman) And I was supposed to rent a van for the trip. But I waited too long to call the rental agency to reserve one.(man) Oh!(woman) Now it turns out they don’t have any vans available for tomorrow.I don’t know what to do? These kids will be really disappointed if their trip gets cancelled.(man) Hmmm, well, doesn’t one of your friends on campus have a car? I mean, couldn’t you borrow it for the day?(woman) Yeah, probably, but I’d need to borrow two cars or there wouldn’t be enough space for all the kids.(man) Um, hum.(woman) That’s why I was going to rent the van. And then I’d need to find somebody else to drive, too. I can’t drive two cars b y myself.(man) Yeah, that’s true. Well, I am sure you can probably find a volunteer or if you wanted to save yourself the trouble of hunting down a second driver, what about public transportation? Check the bus schedule, I think there’s a bus line that goes right past the zoo.(woman) Yeah, that’s a possibility, but I don’t know, it might be a real challenge supervising the kids on the bus.(man) Ha, ha…(woman) Sometimes they are a handful when they get excited. It’s an option, though.托福TPO1口语task5题目Question:The speakers discuss two possible solutions to the woman’s problem. Briefly summarize the problem then state which solution you recommend and explain why.托福TPO1口语task5 答案解析:1. Listening keys(1.1) Problem: the woman needs to drive some kids to the zoo, but waited to long to rent a van(1.2) First solution: borrow two cars and get a second driver(1.2.1) Pro: volunteers are not hard to find(1.2.2) Con: troublesome(1.3) Second solution: take the kids to the zoo by bus(1.3.1) Pro: there’s bus that goes right past the zoo(1.3.2) Con: not easy to supervise kids on the bus, because they are a handful when they get excited托福TPO1口语task5 范文:The woman’s problem is that she needs to drive some kids to the zoo, but she waited too long to rent a van. There are two possible solutions. The first solution is to borrow two cars from her friends for the day. The second solution is to take the kids to the zoo by bus. I think that going to the zoo by bus is a better idea. First of all, there is a bus that goes right past the zoo, it will be very convenient for her and the kids because they don’t have to walk too far. Second, it is very troublesome to borrow two cars from her friends in that short period oftime, not to mention that she will have to find a second driver to drive the other car too.托福TPO1口语task6题目Listening Part:Now listen to part of a lecture in a psychology class. The professor is discussing the mathematical capabilities of babies.(female professor)Scientists have learned some interesting things about the intellectual abilities of babies. They say there’s evidence th at babies as young as five months old can do basic arithmetic, that they can add. Scientists think babies know one plus one equals two and not one. The evidence is indirect because obviously you can’t ask a five-month old baby to add up some numbers for you.So they devised an experiment where, um, in this experiment a baby is shown a doll on a table. Ok, so the baby looks at the doll. Then the researcher lowers a screen in front of the doll, so now the doll is hidden behind the screen. But the baby has already seen the doll and, so, knows it’s there. Well, then the researcher takes a second doll and very obviously places it behind the screen with the first one. Ok, so now you have two dolls behind the screen, right?Well, no, cause what the researcher did was they secretly took away one of the dolls. And then when they raised the screen back up, the baby, well, it expects to see two dolls, right? But there’s only one there! And guess what? The baby surprised! It expects two but it only sees one. How could the researchers tell thatthe baby surprised? Well, they recorded the baby’s eye movement on camera. And we know that when a baby is surprised by something, a loud noise or an unexpected flash of light maybe, it stares at where the noise or light is coming from. The professor gives us a study to confirm the suggestion is true. In the study, a baby is shown a doll on a table. Then the researcher lowers a screen in front of the doll, and puts a second doll behind the screen. But at the same time, they secretly take away one doll. When the screen is raised back up, the baby’s surprised to see only one doll on the table instead of two. The researchers know it’s surprised, because babies stare when surprised. This is how they confirmed that a babies know one plus one equals two, not one.。

托福TPO3听力Conversation1文本 Location Of Pysics Class Student: Excuse me, I’m supposed to be having my physics class in the science building, but no one’s in the classroom. Could you tell me where the class is? Physics 403 — has it been moved? Receptionist: Well, there’s a room assignment sheet on the bulletin board outside this office. Student: Yeah, I know, but my class isn’t listed there. There must be some kind of mistake or something. Could you look it up, please? Receptionist: Hmmm...ok, let me check on the computer. It’s physics, right? Wait, did you say physics 403? Student: Yeah. Receptionist: Er…I’m sorry, but it says here that it was cancelled. You should have got note letter from the registrar’s office about this. Student: What? I’ve never got it. Receptionist: Are you sure? ‘Cause it says on the computer that the letter was sent out to students a week ago. Student: Really? I should have got it by now. I wonder if I threw it away with all the junk mail by mistake. Receptionist: Well, it does happen. Er… let me check something. What’s your name? Student: Woodhouse, Laura Woodhouse. Receptionist: Ok, hmmm…Woodhouse, let me see… ah, it says here we sent it to your apartment on er… Center Street. Student: Oh, that’s my old apartment. I moved out of there a little while ago. Receptionist: Well, and I suppose you haven’t changed your mailing address atthe administration office. Well that would explain it. Student: Yeah, I guess that’s it. But how can they cancel the class after offering it. If I’d known this was going to happen, I would have taken it last semester. Receptionist: I know, it’s really inconvenient for you, I understand that, but er… if we don’t have enough students signed up for the course, the college can’t offer it. You know, it’s a practical issue, like we can’t have an instructor when there’re only a few students in the class. You see what I mean? Student: I guess, but now I don’t know what course I should take instead. Receptionist: Ok, let’s see. Do you have any courses you’re going to take next semester? If you do, you might want to take them now and sign up for physics 403 next semester. Student: Yeah, I guess I could do that. I just hope it won't be cancelled again. Do you know how many people have to be enrolled in order to keep a class from being cancelled? Receptionist: Well, it depends on the class, but for that class, you have to have er… let’s see, usually it’d be at least ten people, but since it was cancelled this semester, they might even do it with less. But do you know what you should do? Give the physics department a call a couple of weeks before the semester starts. They’ll be able to tell you if they’re planning to go through with it. It's their decision, actually. Student: Oh, ok, I will do that. Thanks for the info. Receptionist: No problem. Sorry about the class. Oh, why don’t you to go change a mail address now. It only takes a minute. Student: Oh, oh, sure, I will do that right way. 托福TPO3听力Conversation1题目 1.Why does the women come to the office? a) To notify the university of her change of address b) To find out where her physics class is being held c) To get directions to the science building。

题目:描述一个你想去但还没去的地方,并解释原因。
Well, you know, there's this place that has been on my mind for quite a while New Zealand.First of all, the scenery there is just out of this world. I've seen pictures of those huge mountains, like the Southern Alps, and they looklike they're straight out of a fairy tale. There are also these vast green meadows with sheep just wandering around everywhere. It's like a living postcard.Secondly, the adventure sports there are super appealing. I'm a big fan of bungee jumping, and New Zealand is kind of like the birthplace of modern bungee jumping. Just thinking about leaping off a high bridge with the beautiful scenery below gives me an adrenaline rush. Finally, the Maori culture is really fascinating. I've heard abouttheir unique tattoos, their traditional dances, and their stories passed down through generations. I'm really eager to experience it all in person, learn about their customs, and maybe even try some of their traditional food. So yeah, New Zealand is the place I'm dying to visit.Task 2(综合口语校园场景)示例模板。

托福TPO3口语Task3阅读文本:Hot Breakfasts EliminatedBeginning next month, Dining Services will no longer serve hot breakfast foods at university dining halls. Instead, students will be offered a wide assortment of cold breakfast items in the morning. These cold breakfast foods, such as breads, fruit, and yogurt, are healthier than many of the hot breakfast items that we will stop serving, so health-conscious students should welcome this change. Students will benefit in another way as well, because limiting the breakfast selection to cold food items will save money and allow us to keep our meal plans affordable.托福TPO3口语Task3听力文本:Now listen to two students discussing the announcement.(woman) Do you believe any of this? It's ridiculous.(man) What do you mean? It is important to eat healthy foods.(woman) Sure it is! But they are saying a yogurt is better for you than an omelet or than hot cereal? I mean, whether something is hot or cold, that shouldn't be the issue. Let's say maybe on a cold morning, in that case, which is going to be better for you, a bowl of cold cereal or a nice warm omelet? It's obvious. There's no question.(man) I'm not gonna argue with you there.(woman) And this whole thing about saving money.(man) What about it?(woman) Well, they are actually going to make things worsefor us, not better. Cause if they start to cutting back and we can't get what we want here on campus, well, we are going to going off campus and pay off-campus prices. And you know what? That'll be expensive. Even if it's only two or three mornings a week, it can add up.托福TPO3口语Task3题目:The woman expresses her opinion of the change that has been announced. State her opinion and explain her reasons for holding that opinion.托福TPO3口语Task3满分范文:Well, the woman disagrees with the announcement for two main reasons. For one thing she believes that students will need hot food from time to time. For example on cold mornings students will need hot food like hot cereal more than cold food like yogurt. Secondly she argues that the students will go off-campus to pay more prices to get what they want due to the cutting back of meals. As a result the cost will actually add up and is therefore a worse situation for the students. All in all, the woman disagrees with the announcement for the reasons stated above. 托福TPO1口语Task3阅读文本:
Letter in the Centerville College News
The administration has plans to acquire a new sculpture for campus. We should all oppose this plan. The university's poor financial condition led it to increase the price for campus housing and tuition by 15% this past year. Surely then it is no financial position to purchase such an expensive sculpture. Moreover, just look at the sculpture: several 60-foot ling steel plates, jutting out of the earth at odd angles! It's so large, it'll take up all the green space in front of the campus center! This is public space that should be reserved for students to use.
托福TPO1口语Task3听力文本:
Now listen to two students discussing the opinion expressed in the letter.(man) Did you see Paul's letter in the paper about the new sculpture?(woman) Yeah, but it was totally unconvincing. His reasons for opposing the plan are just totally off.
I am glad that we'll finally have some nice art on campus. I'd like to shake the donor's hand and say “thank you.”(man) What do you mean the donor?(woman) You didn't know? An anonymous donor is paying the bill for most of the sculpture.(man) Not the university?(woman) No! His assumptions about who's paying are all wrong!(man) Still, I wonder if he has a point about the space it'll take up?(woman) Well, you know why Paul is upset. He and his friends are always out there on the lawn right where the sculpture will be, kicking around the soccer ball. Now they'll just have to use another part of the campus to play.(man) Oh! So he just doesn't want to have to move.(woman) Yeah! For him, it's sculpture versus convenience.
托福TPO1口语Task3题目:
Explain why the woman disagrees with the reasons expressed in the letter.
托福TPO1口语Task3满分范文:
Well, the woman disagrees with the reasons and points made in the letter for some reasons. First of all, the woman believes that the money wouldn't be a problem and the assumption in the letter is totally wrong, since an anonymous donor is paying the bill for most of the sculptures instead of the university. And she disagrees with the advice made in the letter because she thinks that the lawn taken for the sculptures will only upset Paul alone instead of other students, simply because Paul has to move to other places of the campus for his ball-playing. In a word, the woman disagrees with the letter for the reasons stated above. (116 words)
