The table shows the changes in the number of mobile phone users over the period from 1997 to 2004. In 1997, only ten people in a hundred had mobile phones in some city, as the chart above shows. In 1999, the number doubled , reaching 20 in 100. The people owning mobile phones in 2001 were 5 times as many as those in 1997. Three years later, 80 percent of the citizens had the magic tools.

2. Bed that are too small, shower heads(淋浴喷 头) that are too low, and restaurant tables with hardly any leg-room（腿部空间）all make life difficult for those of above average height.
The reasons for the rise in the number of people with mobile phones are as follows. Firstly, the technology of making mobile phones is changing rapidly, which leads to the drop in the prices. Secondly, people’s income has been increasing . As a consequence, they have more choices. Thirdly, mobile phones make people’s communication easy and convenient .

As is shown in the chart, the girls’ favorite thing to do on-line is chatting while what the boys like to do most is playing games. Both boys and girls like to read news and send emails.
It can be estimated that the population of the mobile phone holders will reach a new height with the further advance of science and technology.
