The well logging is an applied science in which various physical characteristics and the related information of subsurface rock formations are recorded versus depth with the special apparatus (logging tools). Based upon physical measurement in laboratory, theoretical simplification, calibration experiment or/and empirically statistical analysis, these recordings or well logs will be then transformed or interpreted as geological or engineering parameters and information, and finally for solving geological and engineering problems.
