1. Would you mind…?和Do you mind…? 用于询问或请求别人做某事，或请求

他人的许可。

(1)mind后面可以用-ing形式，复合结构one’s doing或if引导的从句。

eg:-- Would you mind doing the dishes?

＝ Do you mind doing the dishes？

请把餐具洗了好吗? (表示请求别人做事)

Would you mind turning down the radio?

＝ Do you mind turning down the radio?

请把收音机关小点好吗？

(2) Would you mind my doing…? = Do you mind if I do…?

这个句型用于询问他人意见或请求他人的许可。

eg:--Would you mind my smoking here？

＝ Do you mind if I smoke here?

你介意我在这里吸烟吗？

eg:--Would you mind my opening the window?

＝Do you mind my opening the window?

(4) 这个句型的否定形式是在mind后加not，即Woul d you mind not…?或Do you mind not…?如：

Would you mind not playing basketball here? 你不要在这打篮球好吗？

(5) 回答Do／Would you mind…? 提出的问题时，表示允许要说No或Not at all等；

如果介意要做肯定回答Yes. 或Yes，I’m sorry，but I do.等，如：

would作为情态动词，主要用于第二人称的疑问句中，表示询问对方的意愿或者想对方提出请求，常用的句型除“Would you mind doing…？”之外，还有：

eg.: Would you please do me a favor? Sure.

Would you like to join us?

I would like to.

在提出请求或发出邀请时，除了上述would表示的句型之外，还可以说：

Could you please do something? 请你做某事可以吗？
